The service was impeccable from the moment we entered and throughout our meal. Our server, Anna, was a gem. She gave great recommendations, answered our many questions and even came up with a new drink for us. She also knew the menu (flavors) very well. As always, the food was superb. I’m super picky about my steak and it was perfectly cooked and the flavor was AMAZING! Marche is always my go to for a fabulous dining experience.
Casual elegance, with stellar waitstaff, delicious meals beautifully plated, was very pleased with this level of culinary hospitality.
The menu combines that of a bistro and a boulangerie. If Marché was in Paris, and you lived in the neighborhood, it would not be the best restaurant in the arrondissement, but you would return often for the comfortable ambience, the professional service, and the very good food. Having something like that in Eugene is a stroke of luck.
You can drop by Marché and have a drink and a quick meal of a burger or other sandwiches, a pizza for one, steak frites, fried oysters, and the like. You can also have a nice three-course meal (as we did): when we went the menu contained a half dozen excellent starters and salads; a half dozen main courses including seafood, duck, red meat, and cassoulet; and then some decadent well-made desserts. Come when you want to treat yourself - it will work.
Excellent meal with my son. Prelude to Thanksgiving. Service was friendly and professional. Food was quite good. Wines were delish.
I had made a reservation for five but showed up with seven people. The staff took about five minutes to figure out a logistical solution and seated us all just fine. The service was excellent, the food off the charts—really impressed my visiting relatives—Marche always makes me look good as the hostess!
Love Marche - great food, fabulous wine and excellent service. Krista is wonderful!!
We travel from San Francisco to stay with family in Corvallis.
Marche is always a destination stop on our way.
The food is exquisite and the service is excellent.
Phil is our favorite server, generally at the bar, and recently at our table.
He remembered us from previous visits and our preferences.
It was great to be back at Marche.
The noise was very loud. It was difficult to carry on a conversation without yelling. The food was excellent and a great selection of spirts and wine by the glass. The service was very good. Next time we will request a booth back in the bar, since it was quieter. Most of the chairs back there are simply wood, and the booths are comfortable. Saturday night, so it was very busy with walk-ins.... Reservations are a "must"...
We made a reservation and the restaurant accommodated us adding one extra person at the last minute. The service was good. Water glasses always being filled. The food was excellent.
Marche is the best and most romantic restaurant in Eugene.
Amazing food and amazing service
The food was great! We ordered the oysters, steak frites, and chocolate dessert which were all wonderful. However, the experience was pretty expensive considering the restaurant isn't super fancy. The service, noise level, and ambience were just okay.
Great help and service. Outstanding meal. Especially the Mussels.
Always a good place to take friends!
We have been to Marche before and the service was always outstanding. This time the hostess held up our “booth” because diners who had reserved before us had not arrived yet. She gave them a half hour to show up. We waited that half hour. I’ve never had to wait a half hour for a table I reserved. I arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled reservation time. I should have been seated shortly after I arrived. Oh well, I guess this stuff happens. However, if diners are late they shouldn’t hold up other diners who are on time.
Marche is Eugene's place to dine. Always superior quality food, prepared to perfection. The cocktails are unique and it's always difficult to choose. Service is outstanding and I always feel well cared for. Don't miss out on the special place.
We loved Marche! The service was amazing and the food was fantastic. We will definitely return when visiting Eugene. Recommend making reservations.
The food was great and I really appreciated the flexibility to move the reservation a bit.
We really enjoyed our meal. All of the dishes were done beautifully, the ambience was warm and the service was great.
Marche’. Always dependable. Amazing cocktails, delicious salmon dip appetizer and fried oysters a favorite. Noise level in the bar area was a little loud but Marche’ is a favorite place that we always gravitate to.
As Usual, Marche delivered an outstanding meal, fine wine and exquisite dessert.
I can always count on them.
Amazing food and great service.
Anna providing us a concierge like experience, making us feel at home, special, and valued, truly. We did feel a little close in proximity of other diners, but that probably couldn't be helped in this day and age I expect. Still, it was wonderful.
One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Our waiter, Bill, was funny and provided excellent service. Also had extensive knowledge of the menu and specials.
Perfect dining experience. Service was excellent.
Table was ready on time, a very comfortable and quiet booth for two couples meeting for dinner.
Server was perfectly attentive, pleasant and professional.
Both the endive salad course and the New York strip entree were outstanding.
Great wine selection and delicious deserts.
Oysters on the half shell was excellent, very fresh and tasty.
Unfortunately my halibut was overcooked, the risotto was lukewarm.
I would have told my server if they had checked back in time.
Cannot recommend the choucroute garne, the presentation was bland so is the taste.
I had a great dinner 3 weeks ago, a little disappointed that I did not experience that this time.
Amazing . Delicious. Comfortable. Yes.
Can't rate Marche' highly enough. Many visits, many excellent meals. Menu changes, so always something new to try. Love the (small) portion sizes; don't need to take home a doggie bag to feel satisfied. The apple-compote cheese cake was spectacular; a "wow," for a hard to wow palette. Cheers.
Most dependable high class food in town, hands down. Always amazing.
This was our second meal at Marche in two months. Both times the wait to be served and between courses was incredibly long. Though the quality of the food is good, but the preparation needs improvement. Two of our entrees arrived very burned. Service was good but the wait made it seem less so.
UO family weekend- everything was great! The duck was good, but could have been a bit less done & more tender. Other than that, all was great!
Oysters fabulous. Also the wild chinook. Unfortunately, the halibut whic had been perfection the night before, was totally overcooked. You know what that means- dry and tasteless. My partner was reluctant to send it back.
Don’t serve halibut if you can’t cook it perfectly.
This place has wonderful fare in a quiet relaxing setting. The service was wonderful.
Amazing service and food. The steak tartare was to die for as was the salmon and chips and the steak frites! Highly recommend this restaurant! Will definitely be going back!
A little loud and difficult to get in and out of Botha, but halibut and oysters were fabulous!
Absolutely loved it!
After a long day of driving with plan to stay overnight at Inn at the 5th, we had a very enjoyable dinner at Marche. Service was attentive, and we appreciated mindfulness of Covid precautions. The cornmeal crusted oyster starter with frisée was substantial to share. The soup of the day was a well-seasoned vegetarian celeriac soup. Seasonal duck with huckleberry served with braised chard and delicata squash panzanella was excellent. My husband enjoyed the Choucroute Garnie (sausage and pork loin platter). Unfortunately no room for dessert, but we kept the extra smoked hazelnuts to go!
