Marche Bacchus Ratings and Reviews
Amazing food and locale. The service was superb, only overshadowed by the food. We started with a Goat Cheese Napolitano (sp?) and then I had an awesome romaine heart salad and my wife had a French onion soup that said was the best she ever had. Then we had the best steaks ever. The braised beef was so tender you couldn't breath on it or it would fall off your fork. She had the steak frites, and amazing doesn't begin to cut it.
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
This is our third trip in a little over a month. We love the spot and especially like the beautiful view of the lake. The enclosed patio at the Lakes edge is not air-conditioned so it was a bit uncomfortable with the temperature at 114°. But the food is excellent and the service is just as good. My choice this time was the charred octopus as an appetizer, very unusual – very tender and service with chickpeas, roasted red pepper and a delicious sauce.
My lunch entrée was the salmon BLT. I will definitely order this again because it is an excellent sandwich. The salmon was perfectly done and the bacon was a great complement to the overall flavors.
One fellow diner ordered the Quiche Lorraine and she loved it, her husband ordered the chorizo mussels ... I've had those and they are superb, so are the escargot. The Lunch menu is small but some very good choices.
We're looking forward to returning in the next few weeks.
We went to Marche Bacchus to celebrate my birthday and their Bastille Day special event. The food was excellent. I had the escargots and rack of lamb. The lamb was so tender and succulent. My mom had the smoked salmon which was excellent. To finish, we had creme brulee, which was so rich and creamy.
A bit disappointed, especially after it being rated as one of the top 10 restaurants in Las Vegas. We arrived at 7PM and there were only a few other patrons. We were seated at a small table with a minimal view of the lake. The window panels were partially closed with misters and fans blowing . Not much of a lake view from our table. No additional lighting - just sunlight which was fading, making it difficult to see against the glare coming from the windows. so once the sun went down and the overhead light strings came on, the ambiance was much improved.
The food was good and presentation was nice. Really thought the view of the lake would be better, given the photos on their website. Not sure I would return or recommend it to friends.
Sunday was our second trip here... it was even better than the first. The food was excellent and so was the service. The chorizo mussels are really a different take on mussels and I really enjoyed them.
Bottomless Mimosas or champagne with Cassis $20 per person and worth it. My friend had a lobster salad sandwich on a croissant that was absolutely stuffed with lobster and she loved it. The escargot was exceptionally delicious.
Sitting on the partially enclosed lakeside patio is a real treat. The view and the ambience is beautiful. This is becoming our favorite place for lunch.
Since we were one of the only guests at the time of our reservation, it felt like we had the restaurant to ourselves. We shared the fish of the day with a (an appetizer) side of eggplant parmesan (sounds like it wouldn't go together but it really did). For dessert we had the panna cotta with fresh berries, and it was phenomenal!
This was my first time to the restaurant and I was not disappointed. They had run out of my first choice of appetizer which was yellowtail but I had the truffle goat cheese instead. It was divine. My steak was too rare for med/rare as ordered but they took it back to cook a little bit more and comped us dessert. Our waiter was knowledgeable and fast. I will return.
Marty is one of the best waiters in town, as are all the rest. The food is very unique, and the setting is unequaled in town. Angelo does a great job of managing this restaurant and Jeff and Rhonda are great owners. Love to go and see the black swans turtles and ducks and sometimes feed them!
As expected, the food is a little pricey, but the view is worth the $18.00 pasta with no meat that I ordered. Our server, was a lady and she was very professional and attentive. They gave my SIL a special little birthday desert. Go try MB if you haven't already.
I love this restaurant....a superb dining experience and never disappointed. I enjoy sitting near the water and like watching the water fowl. My friends are always impressed and this evening was no exception. Anthony, our waiter was perfect. My friends and I will be back....again
I chose this restaurant based on reviews I read online and I wanted to be off the strip. I was happy with my choice and had a great evening. We sat outdoors and were quite comfortable. Looking out on the lake made for a very relaxing evening. Our server did not rush us, which was our choice. He offered to split a salad for us and that turned out to be the right amount for two. I had scallops which were prepared very well and not overcooked. I would recommend this restaurant to others and would love to go back if I am in the area.
We went for restaurant week to support the local food bank although they did not offer the special menu freely, we had to ask for it. We both ordered off the special menu. My wife got the summer salad with beets and greens, the sea bass, and profiteroles filled with sorbet. I ordered the goat cheese napoleon, chicken piccata and the creme brûlée. Everything was excellent as usual.
The setting is gorgeous overlooking the lake as the sunsets and it's always a bonus to have live music. Dirk, a regular guitarist there, was serenading the crowd with instrumentals.
Marche Bacchus has become our new "must visit" restaurant when we come to Vegas. This is my second time in two months and we plan to visit the next time we are in town. My daughter and I had the lobster salad sandwich, (I had a half sandwich with the mushroom soup, which was great!). My husband had burger which was a very generous size along with a ceasar salad accompaniment. Everyone enjoyed! The service was a bit slow...I'm guessing because there was a very large party in the middle of the room. Otherwise - very enjoyable place!
Beautiful setting but our opinion of this restaurant has varied from time to time. Again, (not for the first time) we are disappointed to see that some families believe that casual attire, including shorts and t-shirts, for a French, water-side restaurant is appropriate and that the establishment is willing to accept this, is below the standard I would like to see in a restaurant in this price-range/setting. Furthermore, small children running around and screaming is another discouragement we have seen in this restaurant. On this particular occasion, we brought our grandson and his girlfriend here for their graduation. First off, I was insulted that a family of perhaps 14 or more was allowed to run amok in the restaurant, inappropriately attired (wearing shorts) and entirely disrespectful of the other clientele and the decorum of the restaurant. Next, the overhead ventilation in the outdoor dining area had dripping condensation from the overhead drip system. Furthermore, blasts of hot air from the windows opened onto the lake made the dining experience most uncomfortable.
The night would have been perfect except for the drunk woman screaming happy birthday to another table. Once she left we had an amazing time. So fun to pick your bottle of wine at the wine shop before sitting down. We had an almost 3 hour dinner enjoying our friends and we never felt rushed. Worth driving across town for!
I had been here many times and this time I had reserved a particular table in the center section about 4 days in advance. When I got there with my date, they did not hold the table for me and sat us off to the side. I was not happy. I may not be back there now for some time as a result. Too bad. No need for this. They should be more receptive of customer requests.
This is a peaceful, quiet respite from the mania of "The Strip." A restaurant nestled on a lake with covered outdoor seating at the water's edge. Very nice relaxing live music during the evenings and NO TOURISTS! This is where I go to escape for a nice intimate date. Dinner menu is a French/Italian fusion of appetizers and entree's. Had no room for dessert. Moderately priced and, since the front of the establishment is a wine shop, an extensive wine list. Open for lunch and dinner. For an appetizer we shared a delicate, tasty foi gras with star fruit. For the main course she had the sea bass and I had the cioppino, both of which were well prepared and delectable. Bread was fresh, warm and limitless. This is our second trip and we plan to return regularly for special occasions.
