Excellent food and excellent service. The best bistro in the Vegas area by far.
Less than marginal service. Good food, poor service. Average wine selection.
Curtly informed our reservation was not until 7:00pm upon arrival 20 minutes early. No problem. We sat at the bar, and sat and sat before finally be waited on. No wine recommendations: just what will you have? At 7:35 we were finally seated AFTER several other regulars were seated. Our table was next to a loud wedding party. Service was slow. Since this is actually the garden area - it was COLD. Beware.
Service: Small plates delivered AFTER appetizers. Dinner utensils served after meals arrived. And when I asked the runner for some water it was as if I asked for his first child. He informed me loudly that he would tell my server who would arrange to have water brought to the table? Really? Never check on us.
Small portions, which is fine for me. And delicious food....most of which arrived cold.
I am sure for locals this is a great option. However, I will not be back.
Anthony was our server and he truly was fabulous! His recommendations were on point, his humor was fabulous, he was willing to talk but not be obtrusive and we never felt forgotten by him. The food was marvelous. The wild mushroom risotto was perfectly cooked but the bistro chicken was even better with the sherry cream sauce and gnocchi. The crime brûlée was so creamy and light. It was a great meal with a great friend. We never felt rushed and definitely enjoyed ourselves.
This is a beautiful restaurant with lovely views over the lake at Desert Shores. Due to the glass doors and ample heating sources, dining on the patio is delightful even on a chilly night. The only rub about the ambience is the lighting. It is too bright, and a way needs to be found to dim them in order to maintain the warm and romantic mood.
Our food was prepared very well and artfully presented. The scallops with leeks were tasty and perfectly prepared. The bistro chicken was a bit dry. The foie gras was good but not great. The bread pudding was not overly sweet. As there is a wine store in the front part of the restaurant, the selection of wines is outstanding, including by the glass.
I usually come here every time I visit Las Vegas (which is often), particularly for the Lobster Croissant, and really the only complaint I have about the place is the loud house (maybe not "house", but such that you'd hear at a club) music that they play; in my opinion, it's completely the opposite of what they should be playing at such a tranquil venue. But maybe this is just how Vegas does things.
Otherwise, the experience was great, food was so delicious, wine was perfect, service was outstanding!
We enjoyed our meal very much-service was cordial and efficient. We will return.
Birthday luncheon, our server was great and the food was delicious.
Great hidden neighborhood gem. Food is great as well as the service. Pick your wine from their extensive, reasonably priced wine shop or try their bottomless mimosas.
Always a good spot to relax take in the scenary and have a nice meal.
Wonderful ambiance, great service by Nicole, unexpectedly good guitar player, and great selection of food and wine - what else could you ask for to celebrate a holiday, International Women’s Day.
Great service. Even though it was raining they accommodated our request to sit in the patio. We were ok with small roof water leaks as they were expected
Great waiter Anthony. He offered me vegan options that were great.
We just loved this place -- the friendly and relaxed atmosphere, the menu, the wine store, and the professional service. Unfortunately, on the night we went there some kind of staffing meltdown occurred. After we finished eating, we were left sitting for a good 20 minutes with no sign of our waiter. Another waiter finally did clear our dirty dishes and placed some dessert menus on our table, but no one made a move to offer coffee or take our orders. Eventually our original waiter returned without a word of explanation or apology for the delay. We asked for the check, and waited another ten minutes due to a problem with the register. It ended up taking up two hours for us just to get appetizers, entrees, and the check, and we had to leave without dessert or coffee.
Fortunately we went back two nights later to give them another try. But that was a different evening and an entirely different result.
Our dinner at Marche Baccus was the highlight of our week. Highly recommended
My wife and I enjoyed a Sunday brunch yesterday at Marche Bacchus. It was thoroughly excellent. We both had the French onion soup (delicious). I had the short rib eggs Benedict (unique, and excellent) accompanied by outstanding French fries; she had the bacon and eggs risotto (also unique and very good, although quite rich). We shared a limonciello soufflé -- a yummy dessert large enough for four. Our only "complaint" was that the café lattes came in the smallest cups we had ever seen.
The service was excellent. Our waiter knew everything about the menu offerings and was attentive without being overbearing. The prices of the appetizers and entrees were very fair considering their high quality.
We heartily recommend this restaurant for brunch!
I noted on the reservation that we were celebrating a 50th birthday. This was never acknowledged and when we ordered dessert I asked for a candle as we are celebrating a birthday. That did not happen. Upon arrival our table was not completely set as bread and butter plates were missing and had to ask for them after the bread and butter was delivered.
Really great meal and view. We loved it
Can’t say enough about this restaurant. Always an amazing experience if it just family brunch or evening date night always a great experience.
overpriced. get only 2 lamb chops. 4 at Brio. Vegies looked / tasted old and overcooked. Need to add rice or garlic potato to lamb chops plate. People very nice and service very good.
You asked so here are my observations. We would come to MB often and were excited to be able to join friends on this night. The atmosphere and ambiance is always special and would make us return but the lack of service and genuine hospitality was severely lacking. The one server was overwhelmed and struggling just to keep up. I think our server (female) did the best she could. We ordered refills several times and yet they never came. Saw no management engagement or concern for the team on the floor. The food was just "good" but nothing memorable and took so long to get to our table. The newly renovated space is well done but lighting in the bar is way to bright and the staff appearance was far to casual and in need of some improved standards (some looked sloppy). We had to balance our own table on the patio with a napkin since it was wobbling. I think the staff saw us on our knees and I don't think they felt compelled to react? Surprised the restaurant was empty most of night and yet the service experience struggled immensely. Maybe these issues are why the restaurant was "slow" when you can't get a table in other restaurants on the same night? Hope you address the issues above as was not the experience in years past.
Love this place, everytime we’ve been here it’s been great. You get to pick your wine from the wine shop, then bring it to your table. The food has always been delicious and the service is very good.
We really enjoy bringing our out of town guests here.
Food was great. Maybe sliced avacado on lobster sandwich instead of a spread. Website menu outdated. Service was great, liked the wine shop too. Mimosas special on Sunday is a nice touch. Steak was cooked perfect, eggs weren't quite over medium. Owner attentive.
Great food and service
My husband and I were there for dinner this past weekend. The table we were seated at had a heater right above our heads and it felt like we we being cooked. We decided to move table and as we sat down at a different table we were asked to move as that table was reserved for a party of 4. This is itself ruined the experience at this restaurant. As we sat at the new table we soon realized that a couple was sat at the table and not a party if 4 like we were initially told. We will not be back. There are lots of great restaurants in Las Vegas. That’s not one of it
This is a wonderful, hidden gem! The service was impeccable, the food was delicious (started with the goat cheese appetizer - YUUUMMM!), and the outside patio was lovely. Darling French bistro - absolutely will go again the next time I visit my family in Las Vegas!
Always have a great meal here but was never happy they would not offer a gluten free cracker or gluten free bread. It would be nice to have something to munch on while everyone else is devouring bread.
I used to love the onion soup which was made gluten free be eliminating the bread. Now, that is no longer possible and even the butternut squash and kale soup had gluten. What is going on? Are they suddenly using processed or ready made ingredients?
Over all I loved the food! The service from our server was also amazing. Made great recommendations and good conversation. She accommodated when we requested to be seated somewhere a little warmer. The main negative was the hostess didn’t seem to be very welcoming when we came in. Also, the lack of any music seemed quite odd. It felt awkward hearing all the others tables conversations.
Overall a good experience and I will be back for brunch sometime.
Other than ring extremely cold it was good. We were on the patio and the outdoor heaters didn’t reach where we were seated.
It was my birthday, the service was wonderful, food was exceptional, and watching it snow was a plus. Will highly recommend this restaurant
Have never had a bad meal here & this was no exception!
Staff was delightfully pleasant and very attentive to our needs. Had a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in and walked out. Our dishes were brought out fast, and just as ordered. Taste was exceptional. Will be returning during dinner hours.
So I really like this place. However, this last time there were some disappointments. It was our valentine dinner. First, the steak we ordered, we split. It was nice that they did that for us but it amounted to two small pieces of steak and a whole lot of french fries. It would have been nice to have some rice or vegetables. (Does that really cost that much?) Second, the atmosphere is really dated. We ate in the covered patio. It wasn't elegant or even that clean. The total was over $130.00 and I left feeling like I ate a bunch of french fries and a little steak. We also ordered Brussel sprouts (which were awesome) and French onion soup which was amazing. We had a nice bottle of wine too, no complaints there.
My only recommendation is to upgrade your bread selection
Used to love coming here. Last experience showed large degradation of the food, service and ambience. Ordered the scallops and it was the saltiest dish I’ve ever tried consuming. Mussels recipe was changed for the worse. No duck offered at a French restaurant.
Great food. Great wine. I'll definitely be back.
The Kitchen Team at Marche Bacchus is amazing and my Mom and I both had the Maine Lobster pot pie. I had the soup of the day and she had fish as well. The service has improved. The wine selection is superb and Wyatt’s are awesome.
Patrick the bartender was amazing! The filet was amazing! We will be back soon!
Went on Valentine’s Day had reservations at 8:30 wasn’t seated till 9. Was ask three times by our waiter if we wanted water. Was legit ask another three times if we wanted bread. All three times replied yes. Got our soup then I had to remind our waiter for the bread unfortunately the bread arrived after finishing our soup. Only problem was restaurant was understaff for the holiday. Could see the entire staff working really hard and was doing there best. Unfortunately, they just needed more staff. But the food was truly amazing which is the important part
Anthony was the best server. This is our second time on Valentine's Day.
It was Valentine’s Day so we understand it was a busy night but we had a reservation for more than a month, and we were there at 6 pm. Somehow we got relegated to some out building that wasn’t even attached to the restaurant , and since it was record rains that day, this outdoor pavilion was leaking. . We sat in a puddle of water in glorified lawn chairs. Worst $300 I ever spent.
