Marcello's :La Sirena Ratings and Reviews
Way, way, way overpriced! Meals are appetizer sized, with long Italian names, for big bucks. No frills, no extras. Many tables jammed into little space. 6 oz of wine very expensive. Desert and service was very good. Been there done that and have no reason to ever go back. Supposed to be an Italian restaurant and didn’t see anything on menu Italian that was appetizing.
This establishment is overrated.
La Sirena is my favorite restaurant when I commute from the Northeast to the southeast. The service presentation and quality are fantastic and uncompromised. No matter how busy the staff is ,they are always courteous considerate and attentive.
I can't wait to return to La Serena ASAP
Phenomenal wine list- service was good, but the list of specials were way too long to remember-unfortunately, the room is small and we were seated in the middle of the room, with little privacy for what should have been a romantic meal- but the food was spectacular(my scallops were to die for!)- and the extensive wine list and knowledgeable staff made it an otherwise perfect evening-
Disappointing. We had to wait 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. There is no space in La Sirena to wait for a table so the 30 minutes was spent squeezed into the doorway with people pushing by constantly. This treatment of customers with a confirmed reservation is inexcusable.
A wonderful place to celebrate a special occasion. Food cooked to perfection, attentive staff, mind boggling wine list which Aaron is very glad to help you with. This is not a place to go often but, for that once or twice a year celebration, it's worth every penny (and you'll be laying out lots of them!)
La Sirena has been consistently great for at least 20 years. Maybe more. I recently re-discovered This fantastic Italian restaurant, that is often forgotten among all the terrific opportunities in Palm Beach County, is one of my new favorites. With two stellar dinners within 10 days at La Sirena I’ve become a born-again fan.
I was greeted nicely in the parking lot by the attendant. I enjoyed my experience from beginning to end. It is so nice to see a successful family owned business/restaurant in this crazy world of chain restaurants. I look forward to bringing my husband here for dinner.
Food was excellent if a little retro, roast duck was outstanding with a cherry sauce, this used to be a very popular combination back in the day. If you are looking for old style service and quality this is the place. Only quibble was it took a while to get the wine waiters attention, other wise excellent service
As always, excellent. Diane is a treasure. Marcello is magical in his creations, both traditional and new. Aaron is an superb sommelier and his wine choice for us was wonderful. Food? Get out. The best. The servers are attentive and trained very well, not to mention dressed nattily. They must be so proud to work for Marcello and Diane and it comes across in their service. My dinner companion (a dear, long time friend) was so impressed he asked if we could come back to La Sirena on his next visit - FIRST. Hats off!
The food and service are always great at Marcello's La Sirena. One drawback is the wine list prices. Exorbitant! The affordable selections (50 wines under $50) are unremarkable. In fact, one that we selected was undrinkable! Also for a wine collector there is no opportunity to bring one's own wine in.
