The food is amazing and the service is wonderful. 10 out of 10 restaurant.
We had a great experience, all around.
Everything at Marcellino’s is always PERFECT.
We enthusiastically recommend this superb restaurant to all who are seeking to enjoy the highest offerings in culinary art.
One of my favorite restaurants ever. We dine at Marcellinos on almost every trip to Phoenix and it never disappoints.
Always amazing!!!! Our favorite restaurant!!! Drive up from Tucson to eat here for special occasions!!
Wonderful experience dining at your establishment. It would be nice to have someone at the entrance as you leave to thank you for dining after spending $300.00 otherwise, everything was excellent, will be back next time I’m in Scottsdale
Marcellino is a gem! The chef has lots of passion not just about the food but in the guests to make this a truly memorable occasion. Highly recommend
Food was very good but service lacking ..
Server acred like He was doing us a favor !
Only redemption was the food ..
This was my favorite restaurant until this experience. WILL NEVER GO BACK. First woman who seated us and took our drink order described in great detail about how the cockroaches come out on the patio...while we were sitting on the patio. And she could not find the right wines on the menu. Then we had a mix up with some dishes and the chef/owner had the audacity to come out to our table and yell at me. Saying my pasta was cooked fine. It was not cooked fine...I had that dish before on other visits and last night it was tasteless and pasta was way too al dente. Had better pasta at Olive Garden. And sauce was tasteless...like bland butter. Also martini was terrible. Tasted like cheap vodka. Used to be my go to special occasion restaurant. And I would recommend to friends. Now I will strongly recommend people NOT to go there. I wanted to tell the chef/owner when he came and yelled at me...well I would not be so annoyed at you yelling at me...but need to eat quick before the cockroaches come. Will be calling the Department of Health about cockroaches issue. Did not make a big deal of it last night...as other people were dining on the patio and I did not want to gross them out. Plus, I was already so embarrassed by the whole thing as I had taken a friend who had never been there and I had been raving about the place. AWFUL experience.
Beautifully presented and served temperature hot. Wait staff seemed inexperienced.
We were introduced to this restaurant because of Restaurant Week-would go back!
Delicious as always and authentic Italian food and experience! Great for place for All dinner occasions. Looking forward to trying the off menu pasta dishes next time.
Noise level was very high for what is advertised to be a romantic Italian restaurant
We were celebrating a special event, and the staff really performed.. Food was terrific.
The only drawback is the overall noise level. VERY high. Conversations were very difficult, lots of 'clarifications' with waiter because noise level made it so difficult.
Food was average Americanized Italian. Nothing unique about the menu. Servings were small for the price point. Definitely paying for the Old Town Scottsdale location.
I’m not going to give a negative review because they place wasn’t that bad. I think it’s just difficult to find good food in Arizona. I had the squid ink pasta which unfortunately did not have much flavor. I think the pasta water was not salted. The tomato sauce was literally diced tomatoes sautéed and placed on the pasta. Again. No salt or garlic or olive oil. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t flavorful either. The waitress was very sweet and accommodating. I felt like if Gordon Ramsey were there he would have flipped his lid. Over all it was OK. Would I go back? Eh.
The food and service was excellent. Our server, Diane was very attentive. We had the house specialty’s, squid ink pasta and porcini mushroom pasta which were delicious, however over priced. If you are looking for Italian food that is beyond spaghetti and meatballs, Marcelinos is that place.
Overall enjoyed our meal and the inside ambience very nice. Soup and mozzarella appetizers were ok, but nothing special. The passatelli with sausage ragu was excellent. A salmon entree with a caper sauce was tasty and cooked just right. We both enjoy the panna cotta for desert. Service was attentive but not over bearing. We had a white wine, which was kept chilled in a community bucket, but our glasses were never empty. We would return.
The best high end Italian meal in Arizona.
We had dinner during Restaurant Week. Our meals included mashed potatoes which were average tasting but everything else was excellent.
Service was very good.
The wine (by the glass) we ordered was also very good.
Would recommend for a nice dinner out for two or a larger group.
The Italian bartender was wonderful! Food was delish!
Their handmade pasta is amazing! Lots of thought was put into the menu and it was very tasty. We would definitely go back!
Service and food mediocre-we had high expectations considering the recommendations. Even though we had a reservation, we were told to order because the kitchen was getting ready to close.
Terrible cocktails .. food was ok but not wonderful and High prices .. It may just need to revive after pandemic as right now it’s very amateur.. but probably this restaurant is loundering for new staff ….
Had an awesome dinner. Great food and service. We will be back again!
Our server, Denise, was amazing. The food wasn’t as good as we remembered. My scallop appetizer was over cooked and two of the main courses were bland compared to previous visits. I’m sure they’ll be back to the previous level soon.
Phenomenal food with outstanding service! The Pappardelle with Ragu sauce was loved by everyone at the table! The combinations of seafood and pasta in the specials were extraordinarily flavorful. The staff was courteous, attentive and professional. We will continue to dine at Marcellino’s!!!
Great food and great service!!!
Food was great, great location, would definitely return. However 65 bucks for a pasta dish is beyond outrageous
Squid ink pasta and sun dried tomatoe infused pasta was delicious.
Everything was great we enjoyed the food and the service
Food is mediocre consdering the price.
Very nice dining outside. The pasta is amazing as well.
Bravo! All around magnificent experience. Seated on the patio on a warm evening. Perfect for both the climate and people-watching. The service was quite polished. Attentive, but not hovering. Victor, the assistant waiter, was on-the-spot with whatever was needed, yet he never intruded. The pasta was exquisite. Perfectly prepared and presented. I recommend the daily pasta specials. Marcellino Risorante is now one of our top five restaurants in Phoenix. Really appreciate that they actually have a dress code.
Amazing service from start to finish as well as fun atmosphere and location and epic food. Especially the daily made pasta.
Wonderful dinner. Highly recommend the mussels!!! The lamb chops and mushroom pasta were also delicious. Actually, all the pastas were scrumptious. Our waitress , Denise, who was fairly new to the restaurant could not have been more pleasant and informative.
As usual, everything was absolutely perfect. We love coming here for special occasions because we know that the food will be delectable and the ambience delightful. Marcellino’s represents the highest quality in culinary art. Bravo and thank you!
Food and service was excellent
Run Away! Do not go here. My wife ordered clams and linguine and got violently ill that night. I ordered the lobster special and received a few tiny pieces of lobster on a big plate of pasta. I could barely understand what the server was saying when he was talking. Everything was extremely overpriced. When I tried to order an app, the server said that he could only take the complete food order. It’s a beautiful restaurant but not worth what I paid especially when you are severed bad clams.
5th visit to Marcellino, everything was perfect. when they brought the fresh pasta to the table we wanted to order one of each. everything was prepared as expected. will definitely return when in town again!!
