New England Seafood Chowder
Lotsa fresh fish and clams, the "white stuff" served with Westminster Oyster Crackers
Broiled Seafood Combination
Crab-stuffed shrimp, Clams Casino, scallops and fresh fish, broiled to perfection!
My favorite is the Jambalaya, its zesty and I always ask to go low on the spices and they accomplish every time. Nathan was an amazing server and suggested an awesome salad so refreshing! Cant remember the name but it had blue cheese, cranberries, apple , salad mix and basil and more, it was delicious! Red sangria is my favorite ! Thank you for always delivering great food. Chef is amazing and food is always cooked to perfection
we had a special birthday dinner. they were kind and thoughtful from the moment we got there. The service was excellent and friendly. The food was very good as always.
They even gave us a coupon for a return visit. We will be back.
Great service and food
Food was excellent! Drinks were great too! Highly recommend.
Our meals were delicious. Everyone liked what we got! Our server was very attentive and checked often to make sure everything was good!
I came for lunch and had Maine lobster at good price! Atmosphere and ambiance friendly. Food was very good Don't skip the desserts. They are home made. Cara is great!
It has been a long time since I visited the Marblehead chowder house. The staff was polite and attentive. We ordered the seafood chowder and the lobster brusque and they where both delicious. One of the main courses was the crab cakes. Lots of crab no filler but very bland. No old bay or other detectable seasonings. The second main courses was the fried captains platter. It was enjoyable but heavy on the coating. Again no seasoning and bland. The portions where large and the food was pipping hot. For desert we had the key lime pie and found it pasty with no lime flavor. If your afraid or dislike spices on your food this is a great place.
A good dinner served by a knowledgeable server. Good suggestions by server too!
Our visits to Marblehead Chowder House never disappoint us. My favorite entree is Crab Norfolk. Delicious!
Kerry is always the best!
Excellent seafood! Loved the clams casino and king crab...Service was also amazing.
Always have a great meal. The staff is excellent. thats why we keep comng back.
We really enjoyed our meals and we will be back soon.
As always everything was so good! Food and service always excellent. Love this place!
Our meal was good. The one diner asked for Clams with noodles (it wasn't on the
menu) the server said the chef can do that for you. The diner said the dish was
wonderful. The Ceaser Salad was excellent. Our server was so very pleasant and it
made our dinner so much more enjoyable.
My wife has a lot of allergies and she found it hard to have something she wanted because she can’t have any tomato, red peppers, thyme, oregano or citrus(no orange or lemon)
This was our second visit and we will definitely be returning. The food, the service...everything was excellent!
The young gentleman who served us was quick, energetic and very polite. We won a free lobster bisque and enjoyed that very much. My chopped salad is awesome and that just cannot be re-created at home.
Great service, food, ambiance. Love dining at Marblehead. The Seafood Chowder is out of this world!
Food was excellent as always! Our server was very attentive too
Service was less than what we’ve seen in the past. We had to ask for bread. I asked for only butter with my baked potato, but she brought sour cream. When I told her that I had requested butter, she took the sour cream and left me with just the butter from the bread service. She asked my wife if she wanted more water and my wife said yes. About 9 minutes later, she brought a glass of water back...and ignored my empty ice tea glass.
Not the level of service we usually receive here.
Birthday dinner and our server Becky was wonderful. She paced the meal with consideration to allow finishing each course before the next. The food as always, was excellent. We both chose the broiled seafood platter. Everything was perfect, covid regulations honored, quality food, and excellent server!
Great food and service.would highly recommend this restaurant.
Took my wife here recently for our anniversary, after a friend recommended it. This is one of the finest seafood restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The food is sumptuous, generous portions, outstanding service and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended+++
Always awesome food was perfect as always . Highly recommend
I occasionally go to Marblehead for a good meal and am never disappointed.
My wife and I have been to Marblehead many times over the years. Many items on the menu have been a tradition for years. Always consistent with there food. Great service and food always served hot. The bartender makes fantastic drinks. I always come for the strawberry margaritas. Great seafood and steak. They will cook your meat and fish however you like it. We will of course go agan.
The Prime Rib was outstanding and my wife loved the scampi and smoked fish
I ordered fried clam strips. Being a lifelong New Englander, I had never seen clam strips like this. Very disappointing. They were huge, rubbery and at times the batter felt raw. I suspect this was due to having been served fried shrimp rather than the fried clams I ordered. The French fries under the clams were quite soggy.
I do not send food back nor complain, but since you asked, I thought I would share my disappointing experience.
I had the blacked tuna and it was superb
Excellent seafood as usual. Stuffed shrimp was delicious and the beef tips and lump crabmeat is always a big hit. Clams casino are still the best around.
Our server was Nathan and he did an outstanding job with our party of 6! One couple was late because of traffic; Nathan recommended some appetizers. The crab dip was delicious! Our group always has special requests, coupons etc! He was very patient and took everything in stride. He has a great personality and knows the menu! We all enjoyed our dinners - surf and turf with lobster and filet mignon served with enough warm butter, lobster mac and cheese - delicious! Bourbon salmon (special) - very good! And of course, lobster bisque - outstanding! It was a very nice evening!
Always very good! My husband and I had the Oysters, Crab Norfolk, Lobster Bisque and Cioppino. Seafood is always so fresh. Service very good.
We love the Marblehead grill. It is our favorite place to go for birthdays and anniversaries. Their food is always the best and the staff is always nice and inviting.
Very pleased with the excellent preparation of fresh and tasty seafood. The New England cod was wonderful per my husband, and I was delighted with Crab Fried Rice Teriyaki with 2 skewers of several perfectly cooked large braised shrimp on top. We were also pleasantly surprised by the tasty Lobster risotto balls with lobster cheese sauce, again perfectly prepared and pleasing to the palate as an appetizer. We were seated in the bar which was peaceful at the early stages of open hours on Easter Sunday, and waited on by the bar tender. This was a bonus for us, as we prefer to be in a calmer setting, though I'm sure it ramps up, as a bar should, as the dining hours advance. Marblehead is top notch in food, service and setting no matter where you sit, and we look forward to coming back to this very welcoming place to enjoy their terrific food.
Everything was delicious and time between courses was perfect
Easter Sunday Dinner was excellent, Kenny was our waiter, he's definitely a class act,
I had Tuscan Veal & Shrimp, Wife had broiled Scallops, desert, key lime pie.
Food and service were excellent! Love it here! The fish was incredibly fresh and our waiter was the best.
I think what made our first experience at Marblehead so wonderful was our server, Becky! She was kind, knowledgeable about the menu, and fun! She even suggested the perfect drink for me—the white sangria—it was amazing! We will definitely be back and request Becky!
Great food and service. Went there on Good Friday and it was nice.
