Maplewood III of Vineland
Enjoy! -Kenneth Esposito, Owner
The food is always consistently delicious and plenty of it and the service is always friendly and professional
This place had the perfect ambiance and amazing food. Absolute gem!
Very disappointing. I remember going here as a kid and thought it would be amazing, as I had remembered it. Ambiance has not changed at all, and that’s not a good thing. The homemade spaghetti was good, but the shrimp in my scampi was overcooked and the sauce was bland. My friend had the scallop and crab and felt the same.
Very overpriced for what we got.
The food was o.k., not great but not bad. The salad and the dipping sauce seemed diff. and not in a good way.
Portions for were small compared to the price paid. My Salmon was a little strong.
Delicious food, excellent service, and hearty cocktails are the cornerstone of this Vineland staple where the tables are still too close together.
The service and attention were above par. The food could have been better.
Amazing food. We were seated near the bar so the noise was a little louder than the rest of the restaurant but not unbearable. Friendly service. A local classic for good reason!
They have good Italian food. A little on the higher price, special occasions, worth it. We go alot for good food. Noise level varies depending on time.
Atmosphere was very nice. Food was really good and the service was great. Great place for special occasions.
I’ve been a long time customer for the Maplewood and always remember it being so fantastic. When my husband came home from active duty service overseas, I took him in for a much deserved date night. It was busy so service was a tad slower than usual and we understood completely. However, water didn’t hit out table for 15 minutes, drinks took 15 minutes after the water, and food took over an hour from the time ordered. My husband and I ordered the same dish yet it looked drastically different and didn’t even taste the same. I was very disappointed with this visit. I’d been a few times after and those visits were just as disappointing. We won’t be going back anytime soon. Too much money for the lack of service and attention to detail.
The place has been there for many years. It needs a facelift. But it’s warm and welcoming. Prices are HIGH for the area! Food was adequate. Nothing more than glorified seafood diner. But we as a good time. Waitress was good.
Very good dinner menu. Priced reasonably.
We stopped for an early dinner on a Saturday night. We were seated after a short wait. The service was good. The bacon wrapped shrimp w/horseradish sauce appetizer special was overcooked. The housemaid spaghetti was overcooked. The mussels fra diavolo were tasty. The scallops were good. The prices were high. One cocktail, two glasses of wine, one appetizer and two entrees was $91 + gratuity.
Had the filet and crab cake meal this time with homemade pasta as the side. Everything was very good and the waiter was very good. Went for my son's 18 yr. birthday.
Eddie provided excellent service. The food was fantastic and is always consistently great.
We were celebrating our 45’th anniversary and my wife says that the lobster tails are the best in town and always cooked perfectly
We have been going to the Maplewood III for many years. It is always a good experience. The food is always good.
Enjoyable evening. Moderately priced. Excellent service.
Went for birthday with friends . Food was great ,service wasn't. Waitress kept coming to the table , said she was sorry for making us wait and left without taking our order. I had never seen it that way before. At least get us drinks. Finally took our order and waited way to long for it to come. I guess it was an off night or something.
We have been here several times and usually leave quite pleased. Unfortunately , though our waitress was fine and their signature berry martini tasty, my dish of lump crab and spaghetti was skimpy with the crab which has not been my past experience , and my boyfriend broke his tooth on his meal. We told the waitress just to give them a heads up. The owner visited our table , but was more concerned with whether or not we had the shell and seemingly getting proof it was his dish than the fact my boyfriend broke his tooth. We weren’t looking for anything , didn’t make a big deal about it or even ask to see him. Yet the manner in which it was dealt with when he did show up did have us leave with a bad taste in our mouth that night.
My wife and I were at this MAPLEWOOD for the first time for our 10th anniversary. We enjoyed the decor and the service very much. My wife had filet mignon and was cooked perfectly to her liking. I enjoyed the home-style salad and fresh baked warm Artisan bread. And the deliscious desert of pastry and ice cream with caramel we shared. The Maplewood made our Anniversary dinner an enjoyable evening.
Perfect dining experience
Been to Maplewood many times for a variety of occasions and every time the meal and service were outstanding.
The decor is a little dated and there was a musky smell at first. The menu is wonderful with lots of crab. We were offered a tiny table by the busing alley. We asked for another table and were seated by the restrooms eventhough there were better situated tables which remained empty the entire time we were there. We could see the value of being regulars. They received extra attention. Our server was very professional and helpful, but not as warm as he was to others. The food was marvelous. I had the lump crab over pasta and my husband had the dungeness crab. We would go back, but request better seaing.
Love going to Maplewood of Vineland. I always get the Crab homemade pasta red Sauce. This time I changed to crab and scallops in the red crab sauce with homemade pasta. I love the crab sauce...best around...I thought adding the scallops would be very good, however, they were over cooked and dry. Was a bit disappointed with them for the extra money. We had stuffed mushrooms....they were outstanding, and we got the long hots....they were good as well but they only come with 2 peppers. Seemed to be very small for what they cost.
Like going to the bar. Barry does a great job there.
I would go to Maplewood more if it were a bit more of a value.....although I like going here....it will probably remain more of a special event dinner location unfortunately since I can find very quality red sauce seafood dishes for 6-8 dollars less.
Ordered meal together and one came out cooked wrong and did not eat together, only a sorry from the server not a manager... was always on point when ate here before maybe just an off nite!
My husband's chicken parm was rubbery. He stated that it tasted like boiled chicken.
Great experience. First time here. Was great experience. Wine list was great, meal was great, dessert was amazing. Will be back. Was a wonderful time.
I booked a reservation on 9/24/18 for my son's 35th birthday. We arrived at exactly 6:30 & had to wait a bit for our server to set up our table. He ordered a steak dinner (medium) and it was extremely red (more like a medium rare) but he ate it anyway because he felt bad sending it back. I ordered a small plate ravioli, it was bland for my taste, and I got 1 meatball, which was very mushy & fell apart. My daughter had a pasta dinner w/lobster, she also said it was bland. My other son found his pasta to be very "lemoney" but aside from that, no complaints. The wine portions were very nice, compared to other restaurants. The ladies room was very clean.
A great stand by when your u just want some good Italian food.
Had not been in to the restaurant in a long while.
It was comfy place to dine and the food very good.
I will be returning often.
The food is always excellent. Staff friendly and on the spot.
Just a beautiful night . Food was great and waitress was great
A gem in the boondocks of New Jersey! The salad is to die for!!!!!!!
Maplewood III is one of our favorite restaurants. You can't get better homemade pasta with seafood than here. This is our favorite Italian restaurant. We love it!
We went here for a special occasion, and the server acted very strangely. She had remembered the things that I was allergic to from many months ago, which seemed very creepy. Then, I received my entrée, which smelled and tasted like some sort of lighter fluid. I took only two bites. Someone else at the table offered to taste it, to see what was wrong with it and they also said it tasted like some kind of chemical. We stopped and sent it back immediately. We waited a long time for the replacement dish. We no longer trusted the sauce on the first one, after that. We ordered it plain. With things on the side in the hopes that it would be better. It was sort of a disaster. We did not know if the server had sabotaged the dish, or whether some kind of terrible mistake had happened to the sauce.
It was an unpleasant experience.
We have eaten here before with other servers and have never experienced this. Elderly, heavyset, blonde woman.
Had a wonderful and delicious meal. The ambience was fantastic, we were celebrating my wife's birthday. Our seat at table 52 was very romantic! Our waitress was wonderful and friendly! We will visit again soon having a wedding anniversary and another birthday this month.
We had a wonderful time and the food was delicious
Always a great meal and good service! Friendly staff
