Maple Leaf Grill Ratings and Reviews
Went for a birthday, the server (can't remember his name) was friendly and seemed genuine and was always joking around with us. The food was absolutely amazing (we both had different picks from the locals special menu). A bit pricey but to us it was worth it for the meal. Would definitely go back
We were celebrating our anniversary and wanted a memorable evening. We were very happy with our choice, despite an early hiccup the host handled it extremely professionally and it was very appreciated. The food was outstanding and the service was just right. Thank you for a great evening! Can’t wait to go there again next time we’re in Banff.
Worst service we've ever had. You pay a premium to go to the Maple Leaf.
Our server took more than too much time to ask us for our initial drink order. When our drinks were empty before our meals came, she didnt' ask us for refills until the meal was almost over. Because we were with our children, we thought maybe we were getting the cold shoulder. Which is horrible, because the restaurant welcomes children. And our kids were extremely well behaved.
I'm not impressed. We always like to spend money on good food and ambiance. I'm so disappointed. We won't be going back, or recommending to friends or family.
We were a group of 6 Bow Valley locals and have been the restaurant many times. It's a favourite of ours. This is the first time we had a server who was quite absent during our dinner. We had to wait approx. 15min before we were greeted at the table and asked to order drinks.
I loved everything about this restaurant except we were seated next to a large room with party and so it made it difficult to have nice conversation. We were trying to speak over the party so we could hear each other. Besides that, the service was great, food was amazing, the duck wings and the seafood platter for two were cooked to perfection. I would definitely go back but ask to be seated further away from any large party room.
The Maple Leaf is a Banff staple for my husband and I ... we make an effort to dine there every time we are in Banff (3-4 times per year). Great Canadian / locally sourced menu (if you are a fan of duck the portion they give you is unbelievable !). The food is consistently great and excellent (vast) wine menu. Try the creme brûlée trio to share of you are looking for a small but satisfying dessert. Always busy so make your reservation early!
This is the best anniversary dinner we’ve had in a long time. Friendly, knowledgeable and well read wait staff who knew when to ask a question and when to give us some time to just sit and talk.
The food...I cannot write eloquently enough to describe the quality of food that was put in front of us. From start to finish, appetizer to desert, the detail in each course was impeccable. I cannot give enough stars to this establishment. If/when we come back to Banff, this will be one of our requirements for our stay.
