Perfect Breakfast, fantastic wait staff and amazing presentation.
Great lunch with friends
Food was very good, but there are too many better options in Richmond for the price. Service was excellent. The dining room was delightful. I did get served perhaps the worst vodka martini I have ever had in my life. I regret that I did not return it after the first sip.
Highly overrated. Brought my son for his 30th birthday. The appetizer of Pork Belly was the best thing we had. The Schnitzel was dull and without much flavor, the Rockfish was fair but still lacked flavor. Hoping desert might be better, but the small portion that yet again lacking much flavor disappointed.
Just fabulous! From the amuse-bouche to the entrees, everything was well presented and amazingly delicious. The atmosphere is very inviting and beautiful as well. Terrific experience!
Nice setting, good food but a bit steep in price for what it is.
WE had an amazing night with a perfect small section that made the evening feel very intimate! Food was great as was the service. It was a night to remember!
The food and the service are of a very high quality. I highly recommend Maple and Pine.
So great! Staff and chef were super accommodating to our allergies and the decor and ambiance lived up to the hype. Lovely experience!
Disappointed. Felt like I was eating in lobby of restaurant (which we were). Noisy. Super slow service (but friendly). Some portions too small on tasting menu.
Impeccable service and delicious food. Came here before an event at Altria Theater and they got us out in perfect time (even got dessert and coffee). Definitely recommend. Would be a fun place to bring out of town guests.
Excellent service and great food
Excellent dining experience. Maybe 4 1/2 stars would be better. Could not quite give it five stars as tables close together and even though almost empty at 5:30 were seated close to another couple and could overhear there conversations. Everything else was delightful.
We had time before a concert and decided to try the Quirk! It was wonderful. We had the beef tenderloin - excellent. The only disappointment was, there was no soup available.
Our server was amazing!!!
Bar service was great!!
Excellent place for lunch with friends! Great atmosphere, attentive server, quiet and delicious food!
The service is terrific and the food is heavenly. Delicious flavors and unexpected treats. The restaurant is lovely, but its openness can make it a little loud. We ate at 7 on a Thursday and after a bit, the bar noise quieted down and the ambiance was lovely. Especially appreciated the amuse bouche we got as a special little treat.
Eelicious food, wonderful service, beautiful setting. Loved everything. When making a reservation, let them know if you're celebrating a special occasion. On Open Table, I wrote it was our anniversary, and we were greeted with two glasses of complimentary champagne.
I travel 85% of the year for missile defense contracting jobs w the DoD and look for gastropubs because my brother is the executive chef at his in Jackson, MS (Barrelhouse). This is one of the best ones I’ve come across; the service and atmosphere are definitely worth the value of the food (just make sure your dates worth it lol). My bill was $168 (w/o tip) and I got full and drunk, which I’d rate a overall A-. I would’ve bumped it up to A but my date, although beautiful, did not think the same of me. Lots of history. The hotel is supposed to have a rooftop bar during summer and JJ Grey and MOFRO killed it at the National after we left (it’s close walk and I was drunk). Thank you for your consideration. Recommended.

I had a FANTASTIC time. Our waiter, Antonio was nothing but amazing. The service was top notch as well as the food. Will got back for sure!
The chicken and waffles were fatty and not very good. Musicians were playing during our meal and it made it very difficult to converse with our large party.
Really excellent in every regard. One of the best in Richmond. Truly exceptional
We had a lovely time at Maple and Pine! The soup was divine, the oysters fresh and full of flavor, the dumplings delicious, and my wife's salad was perfect. As was our server, Tory. A perfect pre-theatre dining experience.
Service was slooooow and the food was creative but missed the mark a bit.
We had a great dinner at Maple & Pine before a play at Virginia Repertory. The restaurant accommodated our need for valet parking through the entire evening. The valet was prompt and polite. We enjoyed a fine meal in the cosmopolitan surroundings of the Quirk Hotel and restaurant. The hostess and our table service were warm and welcoming. The rockfish entree and the vegetarian pasta entree were delicious, accompanied by a nice Broadside chardonnay. We appreciated how attentive our servers were, enabling an unrushed experience and on-time arrival to the theater across the street.
The Sunday brunch was wonderful. The restaurant has a really cool vibe. There’s a long bar toward the back and uniquely shaped tables throughout that offer some separation from fellow diners. The Bloody Marys were excellent — nice and spicy. The brioche French toast with blueberries got rave reviews — it looked like dessert! The breakfast burger with bacon, cheese, and a fried egg on top hit the spot. It came with a ridiculously good biscuit bun and a fresh side salad. The only disappointment was that the eggs Benedict came out warm rather than hot, but the taste was phenomenal, so the temperature was overlooked. The leek Hollandaise it came with was divine.
It just was not worth the money. The food was just ok and the menu was very limited in terms of options for entrees and side dishes. I have been there for lunch and loved what I ordered, so I had high expectations. Probably would not go back.
Pretty setting but mediocre food at best. Food was also served cold. Service was friendly.
First time for two of three customers for lunch @ Maple extra great service, fabulous food and and very cool (yet warm) restaurant - a neighborhood gem, for sure. I'll be back!
Simple dinner with wine, $90 per person. Small but savory menu. Very large retro-modern space with different seating types. Open kitchen. Beef was a bit cool when served, other entrees were fine.
Our waiter Michael was a dream. The food was outstanding, the drinks were great, great ambiance and overall awesome experience.
Took my wife here for brunch for Valentines Day and we were treated to a booth with a special note and complimentary champagne! Our waitress was very sweet and offered advice on Richmond as well as helped us with food questions we had. We got to walk around The Quirk Hotel afterwards and see all the great artwork. We will be back for brunch and are excited to try dinner here as well!
One of the best meals my wife and I have ever had. We got the Chef’s tasting menu and thought everything was absolutely delicious. On top of that, they make a good old fashioned and have honey butter.
Had a table for 2 for Valentine's Day. Table was ready on schedule. They had a fixed price menu @ $65/person which included 3 courses. Also included a pre-appetizer appetizer, and a post-dessert dessert, and some incredible bread (they order from NJ) and butter.. Every course was stellar. Parmessan custard with diced green tomato and fried sage leaves (5 out of 5. Never had anything like it), a roasted beet salad (5 out of 5), beef short rib covered in phyllo dough with sweet potato puree and some kind of delicious sauce (5 out of 5), a chocolate/coffee mousse with coconut and banana (4 out of 5), and some extremely potent chocolate cordials flavored with rose, lavender and I don't know what else (i'll be generous and say 2 out of 5, but I think that they are probably just not my thing, and they were complimentary). Service was top notch. Timing on courses was perfect – plenty of time to talk and relax in between courses. Never felt like they were trying to push me out the door to seat the next table. In fact, there are so few tables that it feels quite intimate considering you are in a massive open hotel lobby. I'd go again in a heartbeat for a special occasion.
This place was first class! From our waiter to the extraordinary culinary experience! We lived in Europe for ten years and Maple and Pine has been the closest we've experienced to a fine dining European restaurant! The semi-formal atmosphere brings an outstanding ambiance. All we can say was WOW!
Enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner. It was a pre-fixed dinner and our meals were pleasantly presented and eye appealing and delicious. Will go back there again.
The service was very friendly and courteous. The food was delicious. I had a wonderful experience
Recommended by a local when I inquired about a good place to entertain a few guests while in town. Beautiful setting, service was off the charts, and food superb. Seven people had lunch and all raved about it. Salmon burger was best I’ve had. Very accommodating when we added a person at the last minute. Two of us had breakfast the next morning and more of same: great service and food!
Fantastic restaurant. Service was excellent. Food was delicious.
Such a lovely experience- I was out with girlfriends celebrating my birthday- we were given the best table in the restaurant- the waitress must have overheard that it was my birthday and brought over a glass of champagne- so thoughtful! The food was delicious and they were able to accommodate my vegetarian and my friends gluten free needs. Wonderful place!
