What Insiders Are Saying
Maple & Ash sits in the middle of the Chicago steakhouse Venn diagram. It’s both new-school and old.
Couldn't ask for a better special occasion restaurant. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and they absolutely did NOT disappoint. The food was spectacular and service is top notch.
Fabulous service and food...we needed to be out the door to make a performance, and they timed it perfectly. The food was phenomenal...We had the Branzino, Salmon, and the Pork Milenese, with side dishes of Cauliflower & Brussel sprouts...each dish was prepared to perfection. Definitely one of my favorite places.
We had a wonderful dinner at Maple & Ash. Our server was very attentive and friendly.
The only thing that I was disappointed in were the Market Vegetables. They sounded great on the menu but they were just little pieces of asparagus and carrots. Morel mushrooms were supposed to be included but there were none, I was looking forward to those the most. They did bring me a tiny dish of some kind of mushroom ( supposed to be morels) )but they were not and had zero flavor.
So, I would recommend this restaurant just get a different side.
The room was beautiful with lovely candles and they do bring you a little vodka cocktail to start along with some warm bread- who doesn’t like that!!
Very nice vibes, excellent food, great for a fancy date night!
A most modern steakhouse with exceptional food, service and ambience. Packed with beautiful people on a Wednesday night. Pros: Perfect steaks; amazing wine list: attentive waiter opening cocktails plus chef's surprises; Downside: 2-3 raw oysters served dry in shell; should have told waiter but was distracted by conversation; should never have been served (quality control? when were the oysters shucked? I mean it was literally stuck to the side...) Will dine there again but be more vigilant.
Absolutely fantastic. Our server Michelle was a delight. The spring salad was incredible. Ricotta pasta starter was one of the best I’ve ever had. One suggestion: expand the beer list. But honestly this was almost the perfect meal.
Excellent Food and Service.. Will return again
Amazing service and menu. Im literally counting down the days until I return...the seafood tower was the best I have ever had.
I have been to many great restaurants and Maple and Ash if definitely on the top of my list. There is just something so special and unique about it that keeps bringing me back
Perfect for Fathers Day! Lamb was big portion —and nice extras (like olives ) before entrees
Great service from Meghan, but...
Wife has been sick for three days after eating bad oysters here.
My rack of lamb was fatty and was only luke warm.
We are regulars here, so this was a very disappointing visit.
We went for the brunch. I feel that it was outrageously overpriced, $90/person and the food was not memorable nor was there a large variety. It also did not include mimosas.
Our server was amazing! We were having brunch for Father’s Day with two small children. We’re planning a trip back soon!
The food was over cooked. Not impressed not very flavorful.
Absolutely top notch. Recommend this for anyone looking for a steakhouse in Chicago but traveling with a pescatarian.
What a truly decadent experience from the service to the food. Maple and Ash is truly an experience you don’t want to miss. When I come to Chicago this will be a place that I return to regularly and bring family and friends!
Amazing service and amazing food!
Top 10 dining experiences of my life. 3rd visit here (flew to Chicago just for this dinner) and it did not disappoint. We let our server, Russell, order for us and he nailed it. He was exceptional and made the evening that much more special. Food and ambiance also spectacular. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant!
Food and service were outstanding! Was very cold and my guests were freezing. It got a bit better after I asked our server to look into it. But the meals and presentation was excellent. Highly recommend, but bring a sweater or jacket just in case!
Honestly hands down the best meal I’ve had in Chicago. Get the “pillows of love” (small pasta dish) it’ll met in your mouth and the filet was unreal!!!
Sexy restaurant to celebrate something special. Great food and really good service!
Excellent service, delicious food!
We did the buffet, which was $60 a person. This was by far the best buffet food I have ever had and definitely worth the money if you eat meat. As a vegetarian it was a little pricey in my opinion but the food was utterly fantastic. The service was top notch.
Great restaurant. Definitely would go back again!
The Best in Chicago, the food spectacular, the service is the best of the best!!!
We going back soon!!
Awesome food and great service! Highly recommend.
So incredible that I’m going twice in one trip! Megan was the best service provider ever! Must. Do.
My overall review about maple and ash Is that the vibe was definitely different and cozy. Our server very outgoing, informative and professional.
I thought he handled our service vet well.
Outstanding menu, wine list, service and food quality
One word: amazing
It was the absolute best experience! We got the “I don’t give a f**k” option and was surprised with a million different delicious bites. Jamie -waiter-made the evening perfect!
After leaving the restaurant I realized we didn’t get part of order, I’m not sure if we were charged for it. Our server was nice, but he seemed overwhelmed.
Nothing special about another overpriced steak/seafood restaurant. Decor is pretty but food was just average.
Second time here for brunch. Incredible. Love everything about it.
Service, vibe was awesome. Food disappointed
Service was very friendly, waiter was very professional and friendly.
Our only complaint was that the food was very salty.
The restaurant interior was very cozy, nice vibe.
If we go again we will be selective of items and inquire about our salty issue.
What to say, what to say about M&A? The steak here was amazing or was it the EXCELLENT customer service?
This place is amazing! I would go over and over again. The ambience is great for birthday celebration or date night. The service and food was incredible. I would highly recommend.
Great everything, M&A is on our top 5 Chicago Steakhouses we frequent.
The 60 day dry aged ribeye was tender,
flavorful and can satisfy the heartiest of appetites. The roasted bone marrow is like butter, great accomplishment to the steak. My bride had the Filet Mignon and roasted cauliflower.
The services was exceptional, thank you Norris for a job well done.
