Amazing meal.. Paula our server was outstanding
We had 5:30 reservations and were seated promptly. Service was slow with drinks and food. Two out of four of us really liked our meal, the other two thought it was just okay. Although it was quiet enough for us to converse, there was a lot of background noise just because of the marketplace-like setting it is in. Would I go back? Not necessarily. Yes, I would recommend this restaurant, but only after describing our experience there.
This is just a great place. The hanger steak was perfectly cooked and the pasta was some of the best we have ever had! We will be back!
I ordered their Wagyu skirt steak; didn't seem like it actually Wagyu but instead it seemed more like your average choice or perhaps prime cut. I was slightly disappointed with the toughness but the flavor was great. I asked for Brussel sprouts sans bacon but they wouldn't allow for changes which was a little disappointing -- they said it's premade. Bummer, you'd think you could whip up a veggie in a few minutes but I guess not. My wife's pasta dish, which I sampled, was amazing. Perfect texture and flavor. I thought the wait staff looked and acted fatigued and ready to go home. They were polite but certainly not energetic and enthusiastic.
The waitress was amazing and we found our new favorite red wine from Donafugata! Thank you for making our first anniversary fantastic!
The food was amazing the service was amazing. It is not inexpensive but it was worth it.
I would highly recommend Manzo!
Manzo is a must do for Italian food lovers in NYC!
I took a friend to Manzo for her birthday dinner. I have been to the rooftop restaurant on several occasions so this was a nice change. All the servers and service was great. Started out with an Aperol Spritz and then a Maris Cuomo Rose - both yummy. We order the Burrata and Arugula Salad for appetizers and the Papardelle and Short Rib w/Polenta for entrees - delicious. Zeppoles for dessert were to die for!! It was a bit loud but we were still able to hold a conversation without yelling. Definitely will be visiting again.
Excellent food. But seating was too close to other patrons, especially during Valentines Day which should feel more intimate.
we been to Manzo and has never disappoint. really good food.
I really enjoy going to this place each time I visit NYC. My pal Robinson was there working...it s always nice to see a familiar face. Food was great as usual. The mozzarella was prob the best I ve ever had.
My friend said it was a bit cold/drafty. Other than that I really enjoy the updates from a few years ago. I will def keep coming back - it s a NYC must for me
The food was mediocre but the service was decent. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone close.
Very good food. No rushing. Nice service. Not intrusive
It was a little cold in the restaurant but everything else was great!
It overpriced for the food I was served. I meant to book for NYC Restaurant week and only learned that they don't offer the discount on Sundays.
Great meal. Had the cabonara special and the tagliatelle with bolognese ragu. Both were fantastic. We started with the arugula salad and the meatballs. It was a hard choice because we saw so many dishes we wanted to try but didn't order - burrata, carpaccio, sirloin steak tips, and the list goes on. Didn't have room for dessert so can't comment.
We made reservations for Saturday night and sat at the counter which, as expected is high seating and had views of the grill chefs. We've had dinner at the bar before which is first come first serve - which we prefer since the bartenders are so great but it gets crowded.
Besides the touristy atmosphere getting into the restaurant, we enjoyed ourselves and would come back for another meal, but would probably do weekday night next time.
Overall, the food was excellent.
When we go back to NYC, definitely will go back here.
Wonderful service. Food was nice portions and delicious. Various options for restaurant week. Nice ambiance. A little noisy but nothing unbearable. A nice little taste of Italy!
We had dinner at Manzo and we enjoyd our meals so so much. The meat was great, the pasta was amazing and even the bread we got with our prosciutto was great. We definitely recommend this restaurant!!
Incredible food and atmosphere. We have been there twice and both times it has been incredible. Thank you for a great night and meal!
The 2 young hostesses were obviously very green to service business. Upon arrival, we waited our reserved counter seats while the hostess tried to offer some counter seats to some wall-ins ...
The spaghetti alla Chitara looked like a cafeteria food... while we waited for it for a good 40 mints..
The food is amazing! Portions are proper sizes and allow you to try apps and desserts in addition to your entree. The level of customer service needs a little work.
Had a great meal and birthday celebration at the counter. Excellent white wine and complimentary birthday glass, recommended by wait staff who were well informed.
Great birthday dinner! Will definitely be back!
Amazing food, careful touch, and beautiful setting. Stephanie, lovely manager with a soft spoken demeanor, Tiffany our server just adorable and great with tips; we sampled GF pasta, a 20oz steak with shaved black truffles and potatoes roasted on chicken fat. Outstanding. Will def go back, the personalized service had us just enthralled. Well worth it to navigate inside Eataly to find it.
We visited for my husband's birthday. We were seated on time and our server (who was great) offered us complimentary glasses of prosecco, which was a very nice touch. The truffle burrata was delicious, and I ordered a wonderful cocktail from their extensive negroni menu. Our entrees were good, but I did feel they were overpriced, even for NYC. Pricing is like that of a fine dining restaurant, and it's hard to get that vibe when you're dining in a market. Keep in mind Manzo = meat, so this is not a good choice for vegetarians/vegans - the table next to ours was trying to order something vegetarian and dairy free, and there's really nothing on the menu suitable for someone with these dietary restrictions. Overall, I'd come back for drinks and apps, but for dinner would likely stick to one of Eataly's other dining options like Le Pizze and La Pasta, which is more moderately priced.
Very good Cascio e Pepe. Hanger steak was great but not next time I’ll ask for the NY steak.
I went with two friends. We dine quite a bit. I heard good things but honestly if your going to have such high prices you need to put in a little extra effort. It started with the bread which would have been good if it wasn’t stale
I had the $35 chicken that was super dry and excessively small . Also everything is al la carte so my $35 chicken was quite lonely on the plate. My friends had pasta which they like
I don’t often review but I thought this should be said.
Very very bed service! Old wine on bottle and poor service... unsatisfied and disappointed
Would have liked a non alcohol beer, like Becks NA.
Food was excellent both the hanger steak and the monk fish were superb
service a little slow but it was New Years eve
The wine list can be a little overwhelming for those do not know much about wines but value wise is not bad. The Collepiano Arnaldo Capri Montefalco SagrantinoI had was not overpriced.
I did not need any help in making a selection but I am sure others not familiar with Italian wine would the staff perhaps can offer various wines to acompany the food selected.
Food is sustainable and from local purveyors. Only the highest quality ingredients! Can’t wait to go back!
Unforgettable,amazing knowledgeable service!...incredible food!!
We went for late lunch and it was excellent!! Ambience, food and service are stellar. Highly recommended!
Best restaurant in NYC !!! Went two nights in a row!
I have been visiting the Flatiron Eataly since its inception in 2010. I used to work in the Toy Industry and the majority of toy companies rented space there.
Lots of great memories.
Shared the space with everyone I know from the toy industry. I live here & they do not. They loved it too.
I always found prices to be high but it was an overall fun experience.
Yesterday I changed my mind. Had a 2:30 late lunch date with a former coworker.
We ordered a bottle of wine and shared an appetizer.
The service staff picked up our forks/knives without announcing why. My friend stopped him cause WE WERE STILL EATING.
Within minutes the entree arrives and we had to ask them to take it back. They were rushing us. Definitely ruined the relaxed atmosphere.
While my pasta was good I knew it just sat for 15 mins. No apologies were forthcoming.
Our main waiter was efficient and no complaints. However it was a pricey meal - 75 bucks each.
I found the overall experience to be pretty bad.
I am upset because I enjoyed visiting the various restaurants. And this was not my first visit to Manzo.
I’m actually sad about this experience. Doubting I will rush back anytime soon. Gave it 3 stars only because the food was tasty. But they really don’t deserve it.
Service painfully slow, food arrived lukewarm.
The food was incredible.
Best steak in Ny. The pasta was delicious.
