Manzanita at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe
The food was amazing. Service was great.
Spring menu in the fall, although the menu claims to be seasonal. Food was served cold. I had to ask for the wine list. Appetizers were brought to the table when two of my companions were away from the table. Overall so disappointing. We have always enjoyed delicious meals and excellent service. Not this time.
Having gone to the Ritz for more than 10 years now and eating at Manzanita most times we go, I have to say that they have truly stepped up their game recently with the addition of some new hires in the kitchen. My wife and I split the scallop appetizer, then she had the monk fish and I had lamb chops. All were perfectly cooked and outstanding. Definitely very happy with the entire experience.
Our favorite restaurant in the Truckee area. Delicious meal and wonderful setting and service as always.
Brendan was a great waiter. We were celebrating our anniversary and he and the restaurant went out of their way to make us feel special. Everything was delicious. Great evening.
Our favorite restaurant in Tahoe area. Never disappoints. A local that lives in Incline Village. DH
We were lucky to have server (Kristen) whom we bonded with last year to serve us again on this trip, one year later. Kristen is great, the Manzanita bartender's drinks were great and the food was great:
filet mignon, scallops, veggie pasta and Manzanita green salads. BTW, Kristen (and the bartender at Manzanita) went out of their way to get us specially drinks prepared earlier in the day by Naysha in the Living Room bar. We really love and highly recommend Manzanita!
Always a fabulous experience at this very special restaurant at the Ritz. Our waiter was particularly impressive and every dish amazing! One of my world wide favorites!
Excellent service from start to finish. Very attentive and the food was amazing!
Waitress was unengaged and seemed annoyed that she had a table at the end of the night. Food was good but nothing spectacular to justify price.
As we’ve experienced before the food and service were the best we can find in the area. Being from the local area we still find the forced valet parking at $15 to be undesirable. We almost feel like the Ritz doesn’t want us there.
Food was very good. Service was good at dinner not always at breakfast. It was very pricey for what it is but that maybe normal for the area
We started our weekend stay with a ride up the gondola for our dinner at Manzanita. Got there early so enjoyed drinks at the bar waiting for our table. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Appetizers and dinner was amazing - halibut ceviche followed by pan seared alaskan halibut and brown butter asparagus, Dungeness crab pasta and crispy cauloflower and beef tenderloin pappardelle. Can't wait to go back again.
Everything was fabulous the wait staff was very good food was excellent price well not so much
Overpriced. The meal and service were acceptable, but no view and extremely overpriced for the quality
Our server, Ryan, made our dinner experience over the top.
We celebrated our 14th anniversary in Manzanita by staying at the beautiful Lake Tahoe Ritz-Carlton and this was our second visit in three days to Manzanita for dinner and dinner was excellent again. Chef Alexis and the dining room staff are very talented and impressive.
Thank you for the warm memories!
We had a Social Hour meetup at Manzanita... Venue is lovely... Staff was so friendly and attentive..
Appetizers were very nice.. Great value for money... Super nice time...
Never had a chicken cooked to such perfection- great dish! Cauliflower app was to die for.
One is always taken care of; from the valet etc; should you valet park the car fir lunch it’s only 15.00 and they cater to you; worthwhile for being spoiled
The menu is VERY limited! They really need to provide more options for diners. The 40 ounce porterhouse for 2 is ridiculous. Seating is not user friendly - very few round tables for parties of 5 or 6. This location has the potential to be a wonderful restaurant, but currently TOTALLY misses the mark.
A delicious restaurant - definitely the best restaurant in the entire area. Amazing scenery, great food, great service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Brunch on Sunday is especially good and worth every penny.
Perfect evening in every respect.
We celebrated our anniversary at Manzanita. The ambience was great. The service was excellent. But the food was only ok for the value. Too expensive for our taste.
The ambiance and food is Excellent! The food was delicious and the Quesadilla is a must! We loved the open kitchen and seeing the chef prepare the food.
Amazing service paired with exquisite food quality!
Amazing food and excellent, attentive service.
Great food! Great atmosphere! Great food and great service! Would definitely recommend the Filet ! Perfectly cooked!
We had s lovely dinner outside with our dog.
It was cool but heaters helped.
We enjoyed our meal here, we had the brioche buns, the branzino ( perfection) ,the manzanita salad and the strawberry shortcake, the food was right on point, service was very good,
( Saturday early evening was a busy time for them as they had different parties to attend that evening)
Definitely will comeback
The staff weren't friendly from the moment we stepped in to be seated.
We were seated inside with all other guests sitting outside in the beautiful patio. We were literally the only people sitting inside. We were ignored by all the staff walking past our table positioned right next to the door to the patio. We didnt get refills on beverages even when I asked for coffee it took 10 minutes to get a refill.
Not the same experiences I've had at other Ritz locations.
Manzanita is a wonderful dining experience in the Mountains! We love going here for special occasions! Terrific food, great staff and atmosphere.
The food was AMAZING! My husband declared his filet mignon as the best steak he has ever had. I had the halibut and it was one of the best fish I have had in a long time. The ambiance is beautiful and the service was wonderful. The only thing I was little annoyed about was that you had to pay for the dinner bread. Overall, delicious food and worth every dollar.
Dining at the Manzanita was a special treat, although not an inexpensive one. First off, take the gondola from Northstar Village, a short ride, but adds to the ambiance of the evening. The service was friendly, attentive, but not over powering. All courses arrived in a timely fashion. The portions are good size and enabled my husband and I to share an entree, a dessert, and have our own salads. The Manzanita Salad was superb. Loved the Yuzu Vinaigrette. The PAN SEARED ALASKAN HALIBUT was thick and very tasty. We added the mash potatoes which was plenty for the two of us. If you like spicy, I recommend the dessert with the spicy chocolate ice cream. Yum!
Service was slow!
Our new go to place in Tahoe
Excellent service and delicious food!
Food was delicious. The wine list has been reduced quite a bit. Travis, the somm, is a Dwight.
Lovely food & decor and wonderful wait staff!
Thank you very much!
