Manzanita at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe
A delicious restaurant - definitely the best restaurant in the entire area. Amazing scenery, great food, great service. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Brunch on Sunday is especially good and worth every penny.
Perfect evening in every respect.
We celebrated our anniversary at Manzanita. The ambience was great. The service was excellent. But the food was only ok for the value. Too expensive for our taste.
Amazing service paired with exquisite food quality!
Amazing food and excellent, attentive service.
Great food! Great atmosphere! Great food and great service! Would definitely recommend the Filet ! Perfectly cooked!
We had s lovely dinner outside with our dog.
It was cool but heaters helped.
We enjoyed our meal here, we had the brioche buns, the branzino ( perfection) ,the manzanita salad and the strawberry shortcake, the food was right on point, service was very good,
( Saturday early evening was a busy time for them as they had different parties to attend that evening)
Definitely will comeback
The staff weren't friendly from the moment we stepped in to be seated.
We were seated inside with all other guests sitting outside in the beautiful patio. We were literally the only people sitting inside. We were ignored by all the staff walking past our table positioned right next to the door to the patio. We didnt get refills on beverages even when I asked for coffee it took 10 minutes to get a refill.
Not the same experiences I've had at other Ritz locations.
Manzanita is a wonderful dining experience in the Mountains! We love going here for special occasions! Terrific food, great staff and atmosphere.
The food was AMAZING! My husband declared his filet mignon as the best steak he has ever had. I had the halibut and it was one of the best fish I have had in a long time. The ambiance is beautiful and the service was wonderful. The only thing I was little annoyed about was that you had to pay for the dinner bread. Overall, delicious food and worth every dollar.
Dining at the Manzanita was a special treat, although not an inexpensive one. First off, take the gondola from Northstar Village, a short ride, but adds to the ambiance of the evening. The service was friendly, attentive, but not over powering. All courses arrived in a timely fashion. The portions are good size and enabled my husband and I to share an entree, a dessert, and have our own salads. The Manzanita Salad was superb. Loved the Yuzu Vinaigrette. The PAN SEARED ALASKAN HALIBUT was thick and very tasty. We added the mash potatoes which was plenty for the two of us. If you like spicy, I recommend the dessert with the spicy chocolate ice cream. Yum!
Service was slow!
Our new go to place in Tahoe
Excellent service and delicious food!
Food was delicious. The wine list has been reduced quite a bit. Travis, the somm, is a Dwight.
Lovely food & decor and wonderful wait staff!
Thank you very much!
We have had dinner at Manzanita multiple times. The location is always spectacular and the food was the best it has ever been this visit.
Great atmosphere and friendly service. The food was fresh and very flavorful. Delicious. I would go back, just need a few more options on the menu.
We could always count on the manzanita touch to impress & savor the tasty yet the light and delightful. Impeccable service. The cocktails are marvelously creative.
Humm, the new chef has really added some extra dimension to the menu. If you like octopus, it is amazing!
This place has gone downhill, especially in service. We used to spend special occasions here, but will pick another restaurant in Truckee. So sad to see, must have had a change in management?
Wait staff ( hi Sofie) was amazingly professional, friendly and helpful. Their avocado toast was delicious and the fried cauliflower mouth tantalizing.
Excellent salads... rolls/ with unique spreads. .
Staff are always engaging and knowledgeable of their menu items. Chef is also flexible with some ingredients that may cause allergic reaction to others and is more than accommodating to modify yet still keep it consistent.
We hadn't stayed in Lake Tahoe in many years and chose to revisit to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary at Manzanita at The Ritz-Carlton for dinner. They were aware of our celebration and our waitress, Gabby, arrived with glasses of champagne. Pleasantly surprised the dinner kept getting better. Good service by Gabby, good food, wonderful dessert. This was a very enjoyable, relaxing dinner with gracious decor, service and nice people. We couldn't be happier! Thank you
Excellent food, service and it has always been a first choice in the Tahoe area.
We were there for the Mother's Day brunch and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves .....starting with the Bloody Mary bar to ending with the fabulous Strawberry Shortcake. The assortment of foods available insured that there was something for everybody's taste....even for the kids.
We enjoyed both dinner & breakfast! We split our dinner with no complaint. We enjoyed their duck dinner. We got the fried cauliflower, as a side & it too was delicious! Their leak bread is incredible! Finished with the s’’mores dessert! Yummy! There is an extensive wine list, a little pricey.
My husband enjoyed eggs Benedict & I had The avocado toast with poached egg. The toast was massive in size. This is not a small breakfast!
We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton and booked dinner one of the two nights we were at the hotel. My wife and adult daughter accompanied me and we had a wonderful dinner. We each ordered something different accompanied by some of our favorite wines. The chef came out and asked how we liked our dinners. Service was attentive and this was one of the highlights of our stay.
Very small portions and hugely overpriced.
Excellent place for a high end dining experience. Relaxed environment and amazing staff!
Went there for brunch and tried their buffet. I probably had high expectations because this is at the Ritz but very disappointed. Besides the ambiance, there’s not much to say about this restaurant. I’ve had way better food at cheaper places and other five star hotel restaurants.
Limited selection and very basic. My pancake was hard and couldn’t eat it so tried the waffle and I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw the person at the omelet station using that instant waffle maker you’ll see at hotels with free breakfast. I’ve had better pancake/waffle at IHOP.
And let’s not talk about service, they’re obviously short staffed and no one came to our table until we’ve been seated for almost 20 mins. Service was almost non-existed as we had to keep flagging different servers to help us. It’s a shame because we’re a group of 6 and was immediately charged service charge which I didn’t think they deserved. We frequent Northstar for skiing but this restaurant, we will not be back.
It's Ritz. Good service and delicious food but most customers are family with children so it is not romantically quiet.
My old friend started this place, and it is excellent! I will go back every time I visit my house in Northstar. Also great for apres cocktails and appetizers. The Salmon was awesome.
Wonderful lunch - all the food and drinks were delicious! Atmosphere was great and relaxing!
Even though we had a reservation it took about ten minutes to get the table setup. The kitchen was able to quickly produce two kids bowls of pasta, but we were put into the back of the restaurant when there were several open tables towards the front near the kitchen.
I would conditionally recommend the Manzanita.
Gondola ride from Northstar village to ritz Carlton for high quality high priced late dinner. Service was and had to be really fast to catch last gondola down hill.
They gave us the poorest seat in the house. Parking is $45 without validation and $15 with.
Better food in Incline. Not worth the drive.
