Manzana - Lake Oswego Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I take the kids here on special occasions: Valentine's Day, Christmas Eve. The kids love it and it is a very nice restaurant. We love the food and ambience. The staff makes you feel welcome. You do not feel out of place for the average person with kids.
We had a wonderful Valentines dinner starting with happy hour drinks from an extensive beer and wine list. Our bar waiter was completely knowledgable, offered spot on wine suggestions, was attentive and warmly friendly. Definately a 10 out of 10 professional. Our dinner waiter was also exceptional on a busy fun evening. I followed his advice for the pork chop entree and it was perfectly prepared and delicious. We also had the halibut and again it was a home run. Big booths allowed side by side seating on a memorable romantic evening. Manzana is a can't miss world class restaurant. Day in and day out the best in Lake Oswego!
We have been to Manzana in the summer and enjoyed outdoor dining with a beautiful view of the lake and the sunset; but this is our first time visiting in the winter. We were not disappointed!! We were celebrating Valentines Day, and were seated in a quiet booth by the window. The service was fast and friendly. The food was again excellent. I am a seafood lover, and have enjoyed their salmon in the past, but decided to try the pecan crusted halibut this time and am SO glad I did! I thought I had died and gone to Heaven!! Perfect! Fresh Halibut, too!! And the cilantro rice was amazing. We were so glad we decided on Manzana to celebrate our 37th Valentines Day together! We look forward to coming here for our 35th Wedding Anniversary dinner in the summer and enjoying the warmth of the sunshine outside and the beautiful lake view as well as the delicious food!!
Sunday Brunch at 1015AM. Service was excellent. Coffee was outstanding! I had the bacon, mushroom, and cheese omelet served with roasted potatoes - the omelet was done perfectly with lots of stuffing and the roasted potatoes were delicious. My date had the vegetarian omelet and was also pleased. We couldn't eat it all and the bill was $28. (no liquor). Manzana has an eclectic menu, featuring Latin dishes and good old fashioned comfort food. Since there were five of us, all of us on our first visit, we each got a different entree (pasta, fish tacos, scallops, hamburger and a french dip). Each dish was report to be very good to great. The food is properly prepared, and properly spiced. It was a busy Saturday night, and a little noisy, but the service was good and the casual atmosphere very comfortable. This will not be my last visit.
This was the best dinner I have ever have. The best food ever. Beautiful setting. So worth it. Prices are reasonable. The only thing that was negative was the server. He kept forgetting things. He even forgot our appitizer, then he kept it on the bill. It looked like he had too many tables. Other then our experience with him, the place was great!
Manzanas is our favorite restaurant in all of Metro Portland. We make the trip from Gresham over to Lake Oswego to enjoy their great food and cozy atmosphere. The parking is handy in the nearby parking garage and the staff is so accommodating. Best Thanksgiving dinner in town and wonderful setting for any special occasion. We have brought out-of-town guests here and they loved it. I would recommend Manzanas to anyone looking for an affordable, delicious meal.
We frequent this restaurant quite often and this was the first time we ever had a problem! It wasn’t a biggie but was bothersome.
We were greeted quickly and seated in our favorite booth. Our server approached and took our drink and soup order. He brought beverages and chowder and took our order. We split a crab and artichoke sandwich and a chop turkey salad. Our sandwiches were delivered and I thought our server would be right back with the salad. We waited about 3 minutes before he returned and asked if everything was going well and if we needed anything. I answered our salad. He replied it’s up there and departed. I figured he was going to bring it back but it was another 5 minutes and we were practically finished so asked for a to go box. When I mentioned that it was late he stated he was the only one here to run food. The sandwich, by the way, was delicious.
Hadn’t been to this restaurant in a while, won’t be back any time soon. Too many better options in LO.
Noisy, were sat on table right by kitchen and bussing station, despite asking for booth.
Cold, were sat by window and under A/c.
Fried Calamari app was small, lukewarm, oily. $12
Fish tacos described as steelhead and cod, but was just coated, fried cod. Beans were good $16 for 2 tacos.
Rotisserie chicken ok, food lukewarm.
Was pricy for the quality, we only went as we had a $20 off $50 mailer sent to us.
Server was good.
Hostess that seated us was abrasive and unapologetic to us and other diners about the wait, despite reservations.
The restaurant was out of chicken when we got there at 7:30 pm. If I would have known that before sitting down then I would not have stayed since the rotisserie chicken is the reason I chose this restaurant in the first place. The server did comp our dessert to accommodate but I was still disappointed
The hostess told us there would be at least a 45 minute wait. We went to THEIR website and made a reservation through Open Table and waited only two minutes to be seated among a sea of open tables. The hostess became rude and confrontational when we questioned the logic of this situation. We will not be back. They are obviously not managing their seating/reservation process appropriately.
This restaurant is "fine" for Lake Oswego. It's not going to wow your mind but delivers a consistent meal for the family. They have a decent happy hour. On this occasion, I had the seafood chowder and the apple/Gorgonzola salad and they were fine. Kids has burgers/fries. Wife had a the quarter chicken.
Very yummy food from the chicken tortilla soup all the way to the chocolate banana cream pie. Waiter was very attentive but service was slow in general, not sure why that was. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone mainly for just how yummy the food was, expensive but yummy.
We dined for a special Christmas Eve dinner. There were plenty of items on the menu and that made choosing very difficult. We chose to start with the wicked shrimp which was scrumptious. We also chose to share the pork chop and the halibut and both were delicious. Service was great and we never felt rushed. A great way to start off the Christmas holiday!!
