Great food and service. We felt safe because they did a great job spacing the dinners out.
They were obviously short staffed and the servers were working hard. But this resulted in long waits and mediocre service. The food was not like what we've experienced in the past. The steaks were tough and grisly, the seafood was meh, and the kitchen was out of several items. I think all restaurants are struggling a bit right now, and it's not the staff's fault, but this was a rare dinner out for a 50th wedding anniversary and it was sub par. We won't be returning.
We ate on the patio at 7:00 PM. It was pleasantly warm and the view was nice, we could see the nearby green area and a sliver of Lake Oswego. We enjoyed the food, the service, and the people and dog watching. A very enjoyable evening.
I know it has been difficult to get back to normal with staffing and service post Covid. With that in mind, my review is a 3. The waiter was pleasant, seemed a little distracted. But he was on time, friendly encounter each time. The food was just ok. Nothing special. My husband ordered an old fashioned which was not done properly. We were told there was a new bartender. I can see how this could in normal times, be a $100 dinner for four restaurant. But this experience did not come close to meeting that value. I will eat there again, once staffing levels normalize everywhere overall.
Our waitress was superb and made our special evening extra special with her kind attentiveness! We enjoyed a delightful umbrella table on the back patio with a lovely view, while dining on our favorite prime rib roasted to perfection!!!
chicken avocado sandwich is very tasty. Mazana has had very good food for the last couple of years.
Love the patio area! Their cornbread is still THE BEST!
Family get-together, visitors from Chicago
Great service, limited, boring menu
Had a group of eight fast seating and nice table. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and it was all served at the same time. Would go again
The food was amazing steak just as good if not better than Portland city grill, our server (Lura h) was amazing. Definitely our new favorite date night spot
Great menu selections and food was delicious. Fish tacos are great, and the apple gorgonzola walnut salad makes it all worth the trip!
Sitting on the outside deck at Manzana on a beautiful Saturday in summer was a fabulous way to introduce an old friend to what didn't get destroyed in Portland.
Wonderful service, most of the food was great except our beef was a bit tough to chew.
Salads were really good.
Food and drink quality seems to have changed, very disappointing.
Drinks weren't available that were on the menu, server came back twice not being able to make the drink. Food wasn't as ordered, and although the server said she'd get it removed from the check, she came back and said she couldn't. Disappointed.
Justice the server was great!
The steaks were tough and chewy.
The crab and artichoke dip, although delicious, was cold in the middle.
We’ve been here before. This time was a disappointment.
Wonderful food, service and location!
A couple disappointments: they were out of a couple of the items we wanted to order, namely the watermelon margarita and crab and artichoke dip. But we didn’t let it bother us.
Service was great: quick, friendly and helpful. Prime rib dinner is probably one of the best things on the menu, though my mom loved her bbq salmon dish. We’ll definitely be back!
It is clear that you are understaffed but still filling your restaurant. This causes your staff to be overworked and is a crummy way to run a business. Seating should be based on the capacity of the full team of staff not on other factors like making money. Our waitress was hustling, but the whole process was slow and she clearly could not give us much time. This is not her fault, it is the result of over-seating based on capacity.
One of our favorite restaurants by far, and our go-to for brunch when they used to have it. Still a frequent spot for lunch and occasional dinner. We wouldn't go so often if it weren't for the superior service and reliably high quality.
Excellent service. Waitress was very helpful. Place was clean and orderly. We forgot a birthday card and the server found it on the floor and kept it for us until we could get there to pick it up. Will recommend it to our friends and family. We live in Vancouver and
Will come again.
My husband and I went to Manzana Rotisserie Grill for our anniversary. It was a nice experience from beginning to end! The server was attentive, and everyone who came to our table was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were Delicious! I chose the steak salad with the Lemon drop martini and my hubby the fish tacos and Old Fashion. We had the Guacamole with chips as our appetizer, the guacamole was tasty! Both meals were excellent! We enjoyed ourselves immensely!
Cute bistro with great food!! The day we were there was free parking due to the Great Heat Wave and the server kept the ice water coming!
Securing a table, on a weekend evening, in the pandemic, during the hottest weekend in the HISTORY of the city proved challenging. Driving from downtown to LO was 100% worth it for our experience at Manzana. Table was ready on time. The A/C was working as hard as possible to keep the place comfortable. Food, drinks and service were all excellent. A+ experience.
The servers were very nice and helpful and the salmon was awesome. Get the Key lime pie.
Food was our big disappointment. My prime rib was equal amounts of meat and fat. Excessive fat, being to the point of gross. I could barely cut the fat off. My husbands steak on his salad was the same, the meat was tough. Asparagus was stringy and overcooked. The mashed potatoes were good. We brought our own wine to celebrate our anniversary and the corkage fee was $15 dollars, which I thought was a bit high. No complimentary bread. Not my idea of a special occasion. We tipped 20% due to the struggle businesses have gone through and the fact that it is not easy to work in a mask all day. Doubt we will be going back.
We had a wonderful waiter who even mixed cocktails sauce for us. best ever. we went early so there weren't many people there Saturday evening. we had great food and fun visiting. the joys of being vaccinated.
Great location, free parking, nice outdoor seating. Service for full meal was efficient but quite rushed - we had the distinct impression that turning the table was important to the restaurant. Food quality depends on what you order. The fish tacos are dismal and smothered in a gloppy 'guacamole' that was a strange shade of brown-green and contain only tiny little squares of fried fish. However, the fish and chips was great, the tortilla soup is great. I think it's a place where you need to stick to their most popular dishes and avoid the rest of the menu. Maybe just go for happy hour and bar snacks and people watching outside- but I wouldn't recommend it for a nice dinner experience, it's just OK.
Found the hostess to be extremely rude. They had no sign saying whether masks were required or not. I walked in without one and she was a true B**ch about how she handled the situation. I will never frequent the establishment again
Very disappointed. Not what they used to be. We won’t be back
Manzanas is our favorite restaurant. The atmosphere is lovely, the food is always excellent and the service is the best in town. We always go there for special occasion dinners. Highly recommend it.
Fantastic dinner, delicious deserts, A+ service, highly recommend!
Waitress was not the best. Food was very mediocre. Been here multiple times over the years. Quality took a nose dive.
Server was very attentive and quick to check in. The food was delicious too, with a variety of options and costs. I wish more water side tables were available available guests...no one sitting at them?
Perfect drinks, delicious food and friendly service. ❤️💕
The menu options are very limited as expected with covid however one guest is Vegan and no options. Disappointing. Considering so many dietary restrictions many people have were hoping for some chef assistance.
Our Father's Day dinner was great, the food was good, generous portions and the steak tidbits were made of high quality steak, i.e. no chewy pieces. The service was fantastic, attentive and friendly, overall highly recommended.
