Manuel's Bread Cafe
Went for our wedding anniversary. First time for dinner we had been for dessert in the past they were very accommodating we had a reservation for the table like they gave us was right next to the door. After a brief confrontation with the hostess the manager came over and move the table back further in the restaurant where it was far more comfortable. She was also a waitress for the evening and did an outstanding job,, we had a cheese plate french fries and the steak au poivre for 2. All were excellent we also had a liter of wine and all this came in under $100 before tip. Great value great food great service
The crispy flounder is everything and more. I've tried other dishes and although they were delicious, the flounder is always my go to meal.
Went with 7 coworkers. All of our food came out at the same thing, everything was as ordered and tasted great. Our waitress was attentive! I have been many times to Manuel’s but it was a first for several of the ladies and they agreed they would be back soon.
AWSOME as always!!!
We never grow tired of eating here. When the weather is nice, the outdoor seating cannot be topped in the Augusta area. We usually order the specials, which swap out every few days and are always either fresh takes on classic European continental fare or rare and interesting dishes which compel us to broaden our pallets. The dishes are always accompanied by locally grown vegetables when in season, the desserts are top notch and the beer and wine list is pleasant.
The steak was the worst steak that I have every had. My wife’s seafood was under cooked
We love Manuel’s! Great food with an amazing location. It’s our “special place”.
What a fantastic way to start the day!! Sit outside and soak it all in. Perfect!!
Great food. Great atmosphere. Will definitely go again.
We have introduced Manuel’s to a number of friends. One of our very favorite places.
Been a few years since we ate at MBC, but good to see the quality and atmosphere are still top notch!
Great hidden gem
We bring all of our visitors to this Restuarant and everyone is so happy we did. The food is great, fresh and yummy
I love this restaurant. Their chicken piccata is hands down my favorite meal in this town.
The food was not that great, the Fried Ravioli was the only thing that was good. The servers did not act like they cared and did not check up on us except when food was brought to table and we were getting ready to head out. I am not one to complain as I work in food management my self, but on this occasion, I would of rather ate at McDonald’s with the service I was given today. Every other time it has been well, I’m not sure what happened this time.
My salad with chicken and the Lemon vinaigrette was amazing! Chicken was juicy and tender too. Patio was shaded. My husband ordered sandwich and fries. He enjoyed it. It may seem a little pricy, but the quality of the food was fresh and excellent.
My wife & I have dined at Manuel's Bread Cafe several times and have always enjoyed it. The food is of high quality and sustainably sourced. The service is excellent and we enjoy the outdoor dining. They have an extensive selection of craft beers in bottles and a variety of wines, along with wine cocktails. Enjoy!
Thanks for a great meal and for providing a great outdoor dining experience. I look forward to next time.
Went for Easter Sunday brunch. Was expecting something beyond the regular Sunday brunch menu, but the regular menu is fine.
Waitress was prompt and attentive but not obtrusive. She made helpful suggestions.
We had the pork medallions (special) and a beggie omelette.
Noticed the wine list could use a boost, but had a good glass with the meal.
Love this restaurant for the area.
Brunch was amazing! Everyone’s food was wonderful! I had the breakfast casserole that was a special, my husband had the pork chop, my Dad had the salmon cakes....they were all excellent!! Can’t wait to go back!
Great food and service. We sat outside and it was chilly but they had heat lamps and blankets.
Always enjoy Manuel’s! The food is great and the service always good! Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants a nice meal in a friendly environment!
We were let down. They were very accommodating to my food allergy, but my fish was mushy and had many bones. My husband’s steak was either was a really bad cut or it was freezer burned and tasted microwaved. But the dessert was AMAZING. Upset $100 meal was not enjoyed.
Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Waiter was engaging. We had a guest with us who was very impressed. We come often, especially when weather is nice enough to sit outside. We tried dessert sampler for first time. Choices were delicious
The food was delicious and the service was excellent! We will definitely visit again.
Masters week menu was to die for! My boyfriend got the surf & turf and I had the veil. Both meals were amazing.
Our party of 4 on Palm Sunday and the last day of Masters was very disappointing. Our reservations were for 7:00 PM. Arriving on time we were seated at a very nice outside table. Manuel’s was still serving off of a limited scope “Masters” menu. Dinner rolls were chewy almost to the point of being rubbery. Crab cake appetizer which showed as 2 on the menu was served as a single portion and looked more like a smash burger. It was very tasty, maybe one of the best I have had but why only 1? Makes it a hard to share with the wife. Rack of lamb had to be sent back twice to get it from raw to medium. The pasta In the pasta with shrimp and chorizo dish was over cooked and chewy with limited pieces of each protein. The remaining 2 people had a scallop dish that both found acceptable. We did not stay for desert. This was my wife’s and my first time eating at Manuel’s. Our friends had eaten there maybe 4 other times. We were all disappointed.
Sara was fantastic!
Friendly wait staff, and very good food choices and quality/quantity of servings.
My favorite restaurant in this area- casual or special occasion- just a sweet place with a special ambiance!
Special Masters week menu was way over priced. Steak was undercooked, tough, and very fatty. Not worth $49.
We were a few minutes late for our reservations during a busy time of the year for the area and they were still accommodating with our group and were seated outside. Tammy was our waitress and was attentive as well as suggestions for our meal including their amazing desserts options. I’m a pescatarian and do wish they had at least one vegetarian option available.
Yes, I would recommend this place to others. Dinner was not all that though.. For the prices, this place is slightly overrated on its food and the quantity they give you. Had the surf and turf,, filet was two small pieces, cut quarter inch thick and turf was a normal size prawn with a little stuffing. Desserts was the best part, carrot cake was very moist and tasted great.
Everything was awesome! We will be back.
Food was delicious and service was impeccable. They were crazy busy due to Masters golf weekend and a pop-up rain storm ran some of us dining outside to tables inside. Nonetheless, they were unflappable and we had a wonderful dining experience as we have come to expect there.
PS - Get the dessert sampler.
Changed for masters
Wine good limited wine menu but ample to choose from
The food was decent but the menu did not include any salads or soups for starters. We had to ask twice for bread, which by the way, the name of the restaurant is Manuel’s BREAD. When delivered, they had cut a roll in half and gave us 3 pieces.
Whem reservation made on open table did not contain masters week menu which had “special” prices
Excellent service and great food
