Elegant and inviting; with a sumptuous decor awash in the hue's of India's signature spices and decor, the senses were meant to be indulged. Every aspect of Mantra; the food, the decor, the ambiance was designed to excite your senses while also ushering them through the passage of Culinary Nirvana.
Great food. It reminded us of being back in London two years ago. It was exactly what my husband wanted for his birthday.
Excellent food selection and preparation. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed and quiet. Service was outstanding with good suggestions and without overbearing presence.
Food always amazing. Great service. Tandoor chicken, lamb, prawns, naan Kashmiri, mango lasse all wonderful!
Food was outstanding!
This is a no-brainer. I love going to enjoy ethnic cuisine where the ethnic community goes themselves. If it feels like someone's grandma is cooking then it must be good. Welcome to Mantra!
Waiter was helpful and food was bold and exciting. I only wish they wrote the descriptions of the items on their menus.
Service great! Good yummy! Outside seating was lovely. Overall great experience
Was a great service and great food... definitely will return :)
Lovely ambiance for semi- outdoor dining with open air but a roof over your head.
Of the half dozen or more Indian restaurants I’ve been to this is the best. Superb food. Curry lamb. Coconut eggplant. Naan. Shrimp and chick pea lentil appetizers. Great servers. Reasonably priced. Good portions. A real find in an unexpected area. Will definitely return!
We dine at Mantra whenever we are in the area. The entire experience is so enjoyable. The food, service and ambiance make it a happy place for us. This is the second time we took friends who claimed to not like Indian food. They loved it. Highly recommend Samosas, lamb Rogan Josh, Murgh Makhani, Murgh Tikka Butter Masala, Palak Paneer, Spinach Pulao, and garlic naan.
The service by Maaz & whole staff was awesome & the food was delicious!
Food here is always super. Host said he couldn't find our Open Table reservation. I had to show him the confirmation. Then they threw together a table not usually used. It was fine. Our server was excellent and offered us a larger table later, but we declined. Overall very good and we keep going back.
Good place for family and friends. Food was okay this time but usually its good. Alot of people. Good sitting also but a bit loud.
Good food & service!
Prices are little higher for the food portion served!
Fantastic first time at Mantra! Can't wait to go back with friends!
Best food I’ve had in a long time!!
We always suggest Mantra to our friends and family. Great food and ambiance.
What a gem! Looking for something different on New Years Eve, my wife and I made our first visit to Mantra and we happy we did! From the atmosphere to the food, everything exceeded our expectations. The tandoori chicken was the best we ever had! We’ll be back with a group as they have nice tables perfect for a party of 8-10.
Wonderful meal. Mantra has to be one of the best Indian restaurants in Chicago and there is no buffet. Fabulous
Beautiful restaurant. Love the decor. Service could have been better, in the middle of taking our order the waiter left because his cellphone rang. Another guy replaced him. Food was amazing and we will definitely go back.
The experience always like the first time I went to the restaurant great food great service friendly people would always come back for gatherings to eat here
The food at Mantra is spectacular. Phenomenal service as well. Go there now and enjoy. You won’t be disappointed!!!
Food was excellent!
Best Indian food! We ordered the murgh makhani (butter chicken), palak paneer, egg curry, saffron rice, and butter naan. The butter naan is sooooo delicious, especially when dipped in the best butter chicken we’ve ever had. We also ordered mango lassi and masala chai. We were so stuffed at the end, but love trying new things so we still ordered some dessert. We tried the kheer and mango kulfi. Both had a nice flavor and interesting texture.
The staff here are cheerful and accommodating. And not once did they judge me as I dipped my naan and added sugar to my chai 😅.
The only negative is that they are located so far from the city, so we only come when we’re out in Rosemont.
Fantastic Indian food! Highly recommend!
Excellent food and ambience. Service needs improvement
Food was ok this time. Need some quality improvement in food first time and last time. Service was ok too.
Good food, clean place, but poor service.
The interior of this establishment was fitting with the food genre; a nice experience for sure.
Mantra is a pretty place and convenient location. The food was good. The service was okay not great. The waiter forgot one of the dishes and I had to go find him. They were not great at refilling the water and checking in after the entrees were served. Food was good enough to overlook the mediocre service.
The decor is very nice and the food was excellent. They could use some some training of their staff to make the service exceptional. Servers are not overly friendly or accommodating. I would go more often and recommend this place more if they stepped up their service. They are order takers and they bring your food, not personable. Minimal interaction with guests.
great food, excellent service, will definitely go back
The restaurant lacks service. What’s worse is they constantly keep running out of food on Sunday’s. No pappadum and shrimp were available last night. They just don’t care. I have sworn this place off for a good six months. I think the management team always turns an eye to the issues etc.
Food and service was wonderful. Our server was very helpful and kind.
We had a great time! Food was delicious. If you don’t like spicy food like us, your choice is limited, but still you will be happy at the end. We had the safron rice, butter chicken, chicken kabob, garlic-mozarella naan and mango bruleé. Everything besides thhe desert is family style good for 2-3-4 people - depends on how hungry you are. More than enough for two tho. The naan is also fresh, I guess made to order, and when they say garlic, there is a good amount if fresh garlic. So if your going somewhere else after that you might hold on to it.
Happy woth the food and the ambiance and will be back for sure.
Overall the restaurant was good, with good food, ambience and the feel of the place. I just wish the service was better. Every time we had to call for the server. This started right after we were seated, we had to call them for water and drinks, for taking our order, for additional food and even for the check. It was not that the place for super busy, it was just lack of attention to service. Hopefully it was one off case but we were disappointed with the service.
Absolutely loved the Mantra. It was my first time there and the company I had brought along had never experienced Indian cuisine before. The whole experience turned out terrific. My friends and I will certainly be back soon.
To our taste, this is currently the best Indian cooking in the Chicago area, including the Devon and downtown choices. Really a wonderful restaurant.
We love the food and service at Mantra. Had awesome time with friends and family on Father's Day
