The most reliably superb restaurant in this city!!! Excellent is an understatement!!!
The food and the service was outstanding, but it was just two of us and we were seated at a table for four. Our table was near large groups of people in a small area. It was quite noisy around the two of us. I wish we were better seated, but we were well served.
Mansur's food is always fantastic. The service is very professional and always attentive. The only thing to be careful with at Mansur's is the location of your table. If you are seated on the runway at the main entrance the traffic is very distracting. There are about 5 tables that are just in bad spots where everyone who enters the restaurant has to pass. Other than that be careful sitting too close to the piano. Despite her delightful sounds, it can get loud if you are at a table front and center. Otherwise, Mansur's is a delight and one of the finest places to dine in Baton Rouge.
This recent experience at Mansurs was average largely due cost. My wife and I each had a small salad, she had a steak and I had a piece of fish, and we shared a dessert. She had one drink and I had a soda. The bill for this was over $120 plus gratuity. I have been able to get a steak dinner for two at a upscale resturant for under $100. The quality of service would have been good except that the resturant seated four tables at the same time with the same waiter. It was impossible for him to provide quality service to all four tables at the same time. There were other service issues that I do not expect from an upscale resturant. On a positive note, the food was excellent. Unfortunately, due to cost and service, I would only give my overall experience as average/good. I will avoid going to this resturant again due to the cost of a meal.
It was my first time here and it was a date night, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was very nice and the grilled oysters at the bar were wonderful. We both thoroughly enjoyed our entrees and the desert after was perfect! I will most certainly come back again.
Made our reservation through open table since we are out of towners! Sat us at table next to piano and needless to say we could not have a conversation! Our waiter gave us only half of specials on menu as we found out our choices after dining! Menus, water, bread , and drinks came out together! Our appetizer came out in a few minutes, followed by our entrees! Felt hurried with whole experience and just not pleasant! We use open table often because we travel
frequently and usually have good experiences!
Enjoyed romantic dinner with piano - cedar plank fish and mushroom appetizer were amazing.
Mansurs is the best restaurant in Baton Rouge. My husband and I love to dine here.
Had a great helpful waitress (Treva) and loved the duck and redfish was the biggest filet I have ever had and the soups were delicious--all 3 flavors-yummm. Charbroiled oysters were best ever. Will go back.
