First time there. Cortly was our server.Excellent job, excellent food
This remains my favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge. I took my 3 children for the first time to experience fine dining for a Sunday brunch. The live pianist "happened" to play several child movie themed pieces that captivated my and another dining family children's attention. The brunch menu was excellently balanced for light to heavier options (I'm an eater!). The atmosphere could not have been better - not too crowded, so we enjoyed the middle dining hall adjoined to the piano. The waiter was patient, knowledgeable, and quite amiable. The busboys were likewise quite hospitable and friendly as they turned adjacent tables. Whether a date night with my wife, a business lunch rendezvous, or now a family brunch...they get my 1st reservation option EVERY TIME. Kudos.
I always eat here when in Baton Rouge. Great food and atmosphere.
While the food is always a hit, I find the wine menu a little lacking. When bringing my own wine, the corkage fee of $20 seems a little high for pulling a cork. I can bring my own wine to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and there is no charge for Corkage.
Excellent food, great ambiance and exceptional service. The sensation salad is truly sensational. Great flavor! I ordered the Creole Chicken Piccata with vegetables instead of pasta. Both the piccata and the veggies were cooked to perfection and the presentation was well done, with generous portions. The waitress must have overheard me mention to my friends that I’ve been doing a low carb diet and she brought my salad without croutons. I didn’t even ask! Loved this place and will definitely return.
Absolutely the best seafood/fish in Baton Rouge.
First class dining experience. The place to be.
The catfish chips as an appetizer was excellent. I would enjoy it as an entree. The mahi mahi was also excellent and my friend's salmon looked good too.
Delicious food. Always consistent.
The food was delicious. We had the eggplant Camellia as an appetizer and my date and I both had steak. She, the fillet and I, the ribeye, cooked to perfection. Though the restaurant was full, it wasn't noisy and still had a cozy and romantic feel.
Dinner was exceptional as usual. The chef provided a unique appetizer for our occasion and it was delicious as well as the meal. We look forward to our dining experience at this restauarant and highly recommend it.
Celebrating my aunts’s 85 th birthday was the occasion. The crab and Brie soup is absolutely amazing. The eggplant with crab and hollandaise sauce was disappointing...like frozen fried eggplant... the crab and hollandaise was fresh and yummy.
I will certainly go again as my aunt enjoys her birthday celebrations there!
We chose Mansurs for our second anniversary because it’s our favorite restaurant, and this meal lived up to it. Our service was impeccable, and they did everything possible to ensure we had a truly special evening. The oysters are an absolute MUST.
I made the mistake of trying one of the "visiting fish" that was a "Tile Fish" -- terrible.
But the other guests' meals were excellent.
I have always had great meals there before this one -- my mistake of ordering a fish I knew nothing about.
On the other hand, the "Green Gumbo" -- which was also not known to me -- was excellent!!!
We had a wonderful time in the wine room. Food and service was fantastic. Plus, we ordered flower through them and they were on the table when we arrived. Loved the entire experience.
Simply outstanding! The service was superb, the food was out of this world.
We took my friend’s daughter there to celebrate her birthday. Our server Amanda did a great job to make it a wonderful evening.
Had a reservation for early Sunday brunch for Mom and me. Was disappointed to be placed at small table for two, when several other twosomes or couples enjoyed larger booth tables. Food was up to usual standards, and I enjoyed the grits and grillades very much. Our server, Luke, was pleasant.
We dined here for our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised for a Friday night. The special of the evening was out of this world. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the "Bean Me Up" cocktail as well as her meal. Our waiter was very prompt and courteous. The food was amazing. We would have enjoyed the piano player more if the overall noise would have been a bit lower. A young crowd the evening we dined.
A lifelong favorite that always comes through when I want to celebrate someone else or treat myself.
Mansurs is always high quality with excellent service. Although it is considered fine dining, the cost is not much more than lesser restaurants.
The waitstaff were very professional and attentive. The food was great. I especially enjoyed the berries and cream. This place never disappoints.
Great Night. Awesome fish dishes - always great fresh fish selection. Best Select Oysters.
Experience, as always, was excellent!
I've been a fan for decades and the experience simply continues to bring me back!
From ambience to quality food, I'm never disappointed!
Wonderful food presented beautifully by expert wait staff. Chargrilled oysters best around. Truly a lovely dining experience to celebrate our daughter and son-in-law’s anniversary. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food, professional staff. We always enjoy dining at Mansur's!
Excellent food and drinks., as always!
We had a group of 6 for a business lunch. Everyone ordered a different entree and all were extremely pleased with their meals. Great food and service! It's always consistent and reliable.
All the food was excellent and so was the service.
This is our "go to" place for special occasions. When we want to have a nice evening with friends Mansurs is our choice.
Mansurs is a rare restaurant that has maintained its excellence over many years. It has a diverse menu that has inventive and classic dishes. The food and service are outstanding.
Always great for fine dining. The food is great, and the service is always the best.
Our server was delightful. Always a great meal.
The most reliably superb restaurant in this city!!! Excellent is an understatement!!!
The food and the service was outstanding, but it was just two of us and we were seated at a table for four. Our table was near large groups of people in a small area. It was quite noisy around the two of us. I wish we were better seated, but we were well served.
Mansur's food is always fantastic. The service is very professional and always attentive. The only thing to be careful with at Mansur's is the location of your table. If you are seated on the runway at the main entrance the traffic is very distracting. There are about 5 tables that are just in bad spots where everyone who enters the restaurant has to pass. Other than that be careful sitting too close to the piano. Despite her delightful sounds, it can get loud if you are at a table front and center. Otherwise, Mansur's is a delight and one of the finest places to dine in Baton Rouge.
This recent experience at Mansurs was average largely due cost. My wife and I each had a small salad, she had a steak and I had a piece of fish, and we shared a dessert. She had one drink and I had a soda. The bill for this was over $120 plus gratuity. I have been able to get a steak dinner for two at a upscale resturant for under $100. The quality of service would have been good except that the resturant seated four tables at the same time with the same waiter. It was impossible for him to provide quality service to all four tables at the same time. There were other service issues that I do not expect from an upscale resturant. On a positive note, the food was excellent. Unfortunately, due to cost and service, I would only give my overall experience as average/good. I will avoid going to this resturant again due to the cost of a meal.
It was my first time here and it was a date night, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was very nice and the grilled oysters at the bar were wonderful. We both thoroughly enjoyed our entrees and the desert after was perfect! I will most certainly come back again.
