Roasted boneless duckling topped with a luscious Chambord liqueur blackberry sauce, served with stone ground grits
Seafood-stuffed jumbo mushroom caps, oven-baked and finished with Romano cheese and chardonnay lemon butter
Service was excellent; a very loud & large table celebrating a birthday became irritating. Sautéed mushrooms & sauce were way too salty.
Dinner companion found her entire meal to be very salty.
Food is amazing as always. The special was great and I love the people who work there.
Great last meal before social distancing is a must.
First time there. Athens Sensation salad. With redfish was just delicious!!
All I can say is wonderful
Nice evening. Traveling fish is always a delight as are the crab cakes. We also enjoyed the Veal Oscar. Wine selection is somewhat below par, but the Speciality cocktails and the food never disappoint.
Absolutely fabulous food.
Absolutely wonderful food and service. David was an excellent server. Ryan was very helpful in selecting a red wine.
I believe the food here is good, based on the locals that seemed to be enjoying their evening and the number of birthday celebrations. Maybe we just did not order correctly as it seems their are lots of options and for northerner we were rather plan In Our selections. Looks like should always add a topping,
Excellent food, service and great menu. This is the best restaurant in Louisiana outside of New Orleans!
Great dining experience from beginning to end. Can’t wait to return.
Great food and service!
As always outstanding food and service
Service was courtesy, helpful and prompt. I drink a lot of water, and my glass was always filled. The Brie and crab soup was very tasty! A bit of lump crab would have made it even more delicious. The duck was delicious, it needed a bit more sauce. The overall experience was good, but a few improvements would make it outstanding!
I have always trusted Mansurs to be consistent and very good food for the money. I was disappointed this last visit. The trout was fair at best. It had too much sauce and too much shredded crab meat for my taste. As I like to say it was too tricked up. They took away from the flavor of the fish and apparently tried to over do it.
Great service and great food including their signature cedar plank resting!
We were staying at the hotel next door and decided to try Mansurs and made a 7:00 reservation because traffic was awful. We arrived at hotel earlier than expected and called and was able to move our reservation up. Service was wonderful! I had the corvina special which was great served on green cauliflower. My husband loved his visiting fish entree. We shared a regular sized seafood salad which was the perfect size. A bottle of wine and some bread made a perfect dinner. We are on a 28 day road trip and have had some GREAT meals and this one fits in the top 5. We were so pleased we could walk to the restaurant.
Great place for lunch with coworkers. Crab & Brie soup never disappoints, and the blackened redfish was excellent. Crab cakes were also delightful as usual.
Very pleasant evening. Piano playing was quite nice, volume just right, comfortable level of conversational noise in the restaurant. Our server Mac was quite pleasant, engaging, and contributed to the enjoyable evening. New at his position, Mac did not try to fake it. He consulted his tip sheets and made every effort to answer questions. He enthusiastic attitude was appreciated.
Started with 2 cocktails. A berry sweet tequila concoction and a the 'a avocado walks into a bar' cocktail. The Avocado cocktail was basically a avocado infused margarita . . . refreshing and tasted great.
Appetizers of gumbo, crab bisque, and duck egg rolls. All delicious. I was particularly partial to the gumbo. Smoked duck and andoulle sausage infused the Gumbo which had a rich and mellow taste. Loved the gumbo, please get you some.
Main courses were the house specialty red fish with the added crab sauce topping that Mac recommended. Recommendation was spot on . . . I savored the entree. My wife had a house special that included crawfish with fried oyster topping. I tried an oyster and it too was just delicious.
We did move on to dessert and this was the only disappointment. My butterfinger creme brulle was fine but not memorable. My wife's chocolate chip pie felt like it was once frozen then microwaved. Over about 5 minutes the pie was very firm and almost stale.
Outside of the dessert, the appetizers, drinks, and main course was outstanding. Service was just terrific. We will return and I absolutely recommend Mansurs to others
Wonderful dinner. Charbroiled oysters are a favorite. Great service, great food. Looking forward to returning soon.
Everything was excellent as always. We just thought that $36 was a little pricey for the grilled fish of the day with mashed potatoes.
Excellent bread pudding as a birthday gift.
Excellent service. Delicious redfish and grilled oysters!
Good food and service. The bar did a great job with our drink order
Great food. Great service. Always consistent
Dirty mirrors and the server brought the wrong food. Nothing was done about either. Not impressed.
My first time at Mansurs. Business Lunch with first time meeting. Client choose the Restaurant. Service, food everything EXCELLENT!
David was an especially attention everyone server. The food, as always, was excellent.
I enjoyed lunch and dinner for my birthday...both times Chris waited on us. He was fantastic, lots of fun!
Excellent food and service as usual.
In town for the Louisiana Marathon and had one of the best dinners here in a long while. Outstanding food and service, friendly local atmosphere with a first-class pianist. Highly recommend.
Our favorite restaurant, always sit in the bar, great food and service
It was our first time dining and we will definitely go back
Been a couple of years since my last visit. Food was great, had the sensation salad and the flounder special. It was great. Have to go back soon.
Great place for fresh seafood
We brought friends from Dallas who only fine dine. They both loved everything about Mansurs! They both had the Redfish on the Cedar Plank and said it was the best meal they had ever eaten! The birthday bread pudding was the bomb!!!
We went here in back-to-back weekends and the experience was wonderful both times. Our waiters were both excellent and the food was better than anything else I’ve had in my 20 years in Baton Rouge, even at higher price points. It’s reasonably priced, great quality, and we got our 4 courses (soup/salad, appetizers, main dish, dessert) in roughly an hour. This is our favorite restaurant and everything is top notch- I could go on and on, but “top notch everything” is the best way to put it.
Our friend was in town for this particular visit. We wanted to show her our favorite spot in town. Mansur’s has been the go-to restaurant for my wife and me. We spend many date nights, engagement night, birthdays and anniversaries here. The food and the service is always first class! I recommend Mansur’s to any and everyone no matter the occasion.
Lights to bright in bar
I was in town for business and sat at a high top table on a Tuesday evening. It was a little noisy in the bar area, which I didn’t mind at all. The service was on par! The food was extremely delicious. I had the Tuna Salad appetizer to start and then the Redfish. They were both great. I would highly recommend this place (dining alone all the way to a large group).
