The food was great, service was excellent. We went there to celebrate a birthday with good friends from out of town. The friend said it was the best meal she has had in her two weeks visiting California.

We have always enjoyed Mankas Steakhouse.
The mac and cheese with the bacon and white truffle oil is a must.

The food was great, the service excellent but there were two issues that I couldn't get pass, the constant flies and it's very HOT. Very unfortunate that they refuse to get their air conditioning system fixed in the building Or buy one. In the middle of summer you'd think human kindness would be a factor as first time customers spending money in the restaurant to eat.

We have come here many times & always enjoy it. There were 7 of us celebrating a birthday.
My Open Table WAS VERY SPECIFIC that I wanted INDOOR SEATING. When we arrived, we were put in the basement & I was not a happy camper.

I am not fond of downstairs & this was supposed to be a very special luncheon. We were offered outside, but it was too hot. We had no choice in the matter as it was very busy in the MAIN DINING ROOM. Don't assume your patrons want to sit away from everyone & next to the bathrooms. A call should be made before you seat parties down there & it's ugly, dark & boring! Very heartfelt this time.

We will continue to be good customers - we rarely have a big group.......

I went here for the first time for my mother n laws birthday - It was nice... However, they need a little bigger menu. They only had one chicken recipe,,, it was ok, the chicken was a little bland but all the appetizers were really good. Bought a bottle Dom Perignon, my biggest disappointment was they only had one chicken option...

Excellent food and ambiance. Service was excellent. The only drawback was that there was no air-conditioning and we were there on an unseasonable hot evening. We would recommend Mankas to our friends. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting.

I made reservations for an anniversary dinner through OpenTable. The Mankas Steakhouse phoned me to confirm the reservation. We arrived at the restaurant and were taken to a quiet table and wished a happy anniversary. Service was very good and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend the Mankas Steakhouse.

AC was broken. Outside, flies were terrible. Food was great and could have been a nice place but no hope of getting AC. Had been down for days and too sorry to get some fans or window unit????

Food was very good but the room was extremely warm and made the eating experience less favorable. We noticed that the waitress brought a fan for a larger group sitting near us but didn't offer the fan to our table of 5. Perhaps the airconditiong was not working that day.

Calamari was really greasy and tough, but the ahi tuna tartar was fabulous. Tables were kinda small for the amount of food we ordered so it had to come out at different times. Dessert was delicious. Had the molten lava cake and ice cream. Went there on a date with my husband, overall experience was OK. I was expecting a little Better quality food from a steakhouse. Waitress was nice.

As always the food was good, however, the chef needs to rethink his putting "puree spinach"
on the menu. It was ice cold, felt like it was spooned out of a can, or frozen package.

Otherwise the meal was up to its' usual standard!
Thank you

Lovely afternoon with friends. Sat outside and enjoyed the day. Appetizers were delicious. Excellent cocktails. Lunch entrees were good although the portion of salmon on the Thai salmon salad was quite light for the price. Desserts yummy.

Second time here. Prices on steaks now at top if market as in SF high end level. Only, they're good but, not that good. Outdoor ambiance is excellent on warm summer evening. But likely not so great when it's valley hit outside. Inside was too loud for our taste, even though they weren't that busy. Hard surfaces make loud environments as in modern sports bars like BUs. Thank goodness no blaring TV's here though!

Wonderful food! Brought my folks there who are visiting from out of state and they LOVED it. And they can be super critical. The petite filet and the Tuscan white bean soup is phenomenal!

The ambiance was quite nice. The side dishes were quite amazing. However, I have to say that the steaks had very little flavor. It's clear they did not salt the steak before cooking it. It's also clear that the meat had not aged at all (very fresh meat). You might think that's a good thing, but aged steaks are phenomenal (something professional chefs and steak houses should know). I will say, they did cook the food perfectly (medium rare perfection). One last thing I should comment on; the bar. The selection is a bit limited (for me, it was the bourbon selection... a steak house should have more than 3 options... which included Bullet). Also, the pricing was a bit high for the small amount of mid-shelf liquor given. All-in-all; not bad. The sides were creative and very flavorful, I just wish the steak could have been on the same level.

Lets start with the service...it was acceptable. Some unruly customers made life difficult for our server but she did great. As for the food...The food wasn't what we were hoping for, but it was edible. I think the steaks at other places are better for the money. The lobster bisque was delicious though. We really enjoyed the ambiance and the live music was perfect. The outdoor dinning area looked very nice. This cozy place is a good choice for a couples night out but the food is better at other places considering the price.

Mankas Steak house is THE place for outstanding food in Solano County. We have very few fine dining restaurants in this area, but this one is the exception. Unfortunately they know how wonderful they are and their prices reflect their quality, but if you are looking for a meal where every bite is a gastronomical sensation, this is your place. I did not realize a New York Steak could taste that good. The service is also excellent. Just a wonderful experience.

Visited for lunch on Father's Day. It was extremely hot in the restaurant!!!! We were told that the AC was checked a week earlier but it was not able to keep the temp down AT ALL. The food was great but we were so uncomfortable and sweaty that we had to wrap up our visit a lot faster than we would have liked. It was unfortunate.

Father's Day meal... great variety and super service. Leisure not rushed
The Restraunt forewarned us that the high outside temperatures would affect the dining room.
By the time we were finished (noon) the room was heating up.
None the less... a wonderful day

I always love coming here, food is always great!
But it was really hot out so we couldn't sit outside thinking it was cooler inside and it wasn't. It was really hot inside and made our special evening uncomfortable and hurrying through dinner to get out of there. I was disappointed in that. Not understanding why they didn't turn the air on.

Had the sirloin and Mankas salad, both were excellent. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium/rare, which I truly appreciate as some restaurants we've encountered have difficulty with medium/rare.

Disappointing. Will not return. Five people had a weeknight dinner to celebrate a birthday. We were put in a room where there were two large groups (about 20 people each) that contributed to the noise level -- not energetic -- very annoying and inhibiting our ability to hear ourselves. Four people ordered steak. Only one was cooked as requested. We ordered dessert and, upon receiving the dessert, were told there was no ice cream as it had all melted. Surely they knew this when we ordered. We were not charged for the dessert. The waitstaff did a nice job surprising the celebrant with a dessert with candle. I was previously at this restaurant with a group and thought the poor food was because of the size of the group. Turns out, the food is just not that good.

I was grateful for the food; I ordered Caesar salad and was not disappointed-it was truly the best one I have ever had. The dressing was a perfect amount, croutons were uniquely amazing, and the romain was choice! Superb! Wine selection was great! However, my filet entree was just ok; presentation was beautiful with the mixed mushrooms, portion was just right; the Demi glacé was tasty, but I like a filet with just butter, and hot, and properly cooked...I ordered medium and it came just the other side of medium with little pink.
The mashed potatoes were different from what I am used to; not rich in texture or flavor, not even warm when they were served....I ate them, and I was glad to eat, but not the best $$ plate I've had...
Oh, and the calamari was AWESOME in every way, and would definitely come back for a huge plate of that and Caesar salad!!! I'd even try steak again if promised it will be cooked proper medium! Staff was pleasantly attentive!
