We were last at Mani’s for Sunday brunch. It was great. Shrimp and grits— yum, Caesar salad - excellent with special presentations of a soft boiled egg fried in crouton bread crumbs. Bacon and egg panini, and the variation of eggs Benedict done exactly as ordered (lightly poached, well done English muffin). The restaurant is attractive and lively. I’m looking forward to going back. By the way their pizzas are a delight.
We sat outside and had a lovely lunch with colleagues celebrating a birthday.
We will definitely return the next time we are in Ann Arbor.
Excellent pizza! Outside tables looked enticing but first member of our party chose to dine inside so that's where we were. Difficult to hear people at other end of table due to noise level but it would not dissuade me from a future visit.
Great dinner! Food is fresh, authentic Italian. The Sangria is amazing!
Mani's ALWAYS delivers a great meal! The Branzino is to die for! Calamari app is the best. ENJOY!
We had 3 pizzas and one appetizer for four people which worked well. Nice cocktail list. Each pizza had a fan so almost not important to review. All were well made and the key ingredients came out. The octopus appetizer was really nice. Tender octopus is hard to do and this was tender and flavorful. Really nice meal. Remarkably not expensive so best value in Ann Arbor.
Terrific dinner with family. Loved the roasted eggplant spread.
Went here for the first time to meet up with some friends. Definitely lives up to the hype. The steak tartare nearly killed me it was so good.
“Ran out of Bucatini.” Waitress later comes back and states they now have it; then 15 mins later after ordering the bucatini reaffirms they’re out of it. Gemelli substitution was raw and doughy. Cocktails left much to be desired.
Great food that changes regularly to use fresh ingredients. Our server was amazing but i can't remember her name. She made great suggestions and everything was spot on.
Luckily the food was excellent as always because the service was not. Our server was very inattentive. My daughter’s breakfast came a good ten minutes after the rest of our food arrived. When we were finally able to flag down our server, her response was that the food is brought as it is prepared and that the breakfast sandwich took more time. No apology. Also did not make sense to us that it would take that much longer than other dishes. The food will bring us back but if service is still as bad , it will be the last time.
Great food and great service -- every time and you can't beat the bottomless mimosas for brunch!
One of my very favorite restaurants. Each dish is prepared for the person at the time -- no sitting around under a lamp. Imaginative cuisine - Italian, with flair. The pizzas are superb. But I usually order pasta and salad. Amazing salads (the Caesar is my favorite, but they are all good). Really nice wine selections. Overall attention to customers is excellent.
Had lunch there
Wonderful overall experience
Service and food were phenomenal
A hit and miss experience... there were a few impressive dishes(salad, ribs), but the fritters and calamari was a let down... and both me and my husband had stomach ache after the dinner, but I will likely not attend this place very soon...
Great appetizers- all 4 were delicious. Had three different pizzas and all were outstanding. The three pasta dishes were completely finished and there was only praise. Negroni’s and beer selection were great. The cannolis for fresh and delicious. Service was perfect.
Good food, fairly good service. Definitely on the pricey side with dinner for 4 with 2 rounds of drinks topping 200 bucks!
We all enjoyed the marvelous small plates, the super fresh gourmet pizzas, and the arugula salad! Mani is the perfect place for a multigenerational family get-together!
The food and service were excellent. Everything we ordered was great.
Ate here with colleagues and it was a lovely meal--great food, great service!
Very accommodating and amazing staff. Very attentive and helpful. We had a guest in a wheelchair and Mani was very helpful with that. Enjoyed the meal a lot!!
Outstanding food as always and the service was friendly, timely and welcoming.
Really enjoyed our first visit to Mani Osteria. Fun, interesting, creative choices designed for sharing worked out great for our group of 8. Service was attentive throughout the meal, though I had to remind them to give me our leftovers. Unfortunately, too noisy for us to visit with half of the group.
Amazing! Great unique dishes. Beautifully executed. My favorite place in Ann Arbor!
Mani has become my favorite location for Sunday brunch in Ann Arbor. The brunch menu has something for absolutely everyone and the deal on the mimosas is unbeatable.
Great service, drinks and food. Ambiance nice but casual at same time.
High energy great service and good food
One of the best spots in Ann Arbor. Love everything we've tried here. The Caesar salad is unique and fantastic, topped with a breaded soft boiled egg that melts all over the salad. Can't come here enough!
I've been to Mani many times, but have to put their $28 Restaurant Week dinner among the best values in town. Two courses of individual small plates off their current menu, followed by a split-for-two-people pizza, followed by pistachio and chocolate cannoli. A few dishes stood out: the smoked eggplant dip and cucumber crab soup among them, while everything else hit their usual high standard. We arrived during an off-hour and were showered with attention by a skilled, personable server. The ambience started quietly but rose to Mani's normal buzzy level by the time we were finishing up.
Very loud, food average
My father literally called the spaghetti and meatballs "out of this world." He is not an emotional eater.
Everything was great except the noise level. It was soooo loud that you could barely hear the people at the table with you.
Not a good place if you want value for your money. The salads and pastas dishs are extremely small.
came here on a visit to UMich. Great place to eat with college kids. Fun food, family style
Amazing meal, but sorely missing the Mani Chop! Hoping it returns...!
We went to Mani when visiting our daughter at UM. Great atmosphere and food was great. Pizza crust delicious. If your r from NY, u will be impressed.
The food was great! Atmosphere and service too! I would recomend it to a friend.
We all had the fish which was amazing.
One person had pasta which was too salty to consume. Otherwise--all was fantastic!
Found the restaurant through mlives best MI pizza list 2 years ago. Had to try it for my birthday because of my love of great pizza. The food doesn't disappoint! Very tasty. They use the best ingredients and the resulting flavor is incredible. Last year we had a chef salad and 2 pizzas. This year we had the pork belly and some other pizzas. The taste of the pork belly was good but I wouldn't get it again. It was very very expensive and you only get a tiny little sliver. My favorite pizza we had was ham picante. Just the right amount of spicy and amazing flavor on the ham. My biggest complaint is the ridiculous reservation policy. Minimum party of 5. If you're not in a party of 5 you have to wait til you're 20 mins away to call ahead. They also really need more space. The tables are crammed in making you feel like a sardine. The lack of space makes it very loud and difficult to carry on a conversation with your table. Overall I enjoyed going.
