It was great. The next best thing to going back to peru again. Food wise at least
Authentic peruvian meals....delicious food....nice location....friendly service
Never had a bad dish and tried everything on the menu. A little pricey, but dangit you don't care after a meal there.
Restaurant was moderately busy for a Tuesday evening. Food was good and the ceviche fresh. One of the attendees was from South America (Colombia) and classified it as good ceviche.
Authentic Peruvian cuisine with really flavourful dishes. Recommend the salad with salted beets and the trio of skewers for starters.
Amazing flavors. Great Service. Beautiful setting. Fantastic experience for colleagues visiting St. Louis for the first time.
From the moment I stepped in the lobby, I was treated like visiting royalty. Even better, the food was spectacular. I highly recommend the Langostino’s.
Great space, delicious choices of unique temptations. Love everything we tried. Newbies, server was very helpful and attentive. What's not to like about Pisco sours?
Dinner for 4, friends evening; menu and tastes were excellent; service excellent - we asked for an appetizer from the menu for special events (since we are planning an event there and wished to sample) - and the chef was able to prepare since we mentioned it at the beginning of our dinner.
Lomo Saltado and Aji de Gallina were classic - but I note seasoning outstanding, a bit of extra spice appreciated; the other dishes at the table all enjoyed. Always a major decision whether to choose the classic dishes or try others when we visit Mango - we usually end up combination of new/classic entrees, sharing a taste.
Ambiance is great, elements of the decor definitely reminded me of time in Peru.
We went for downtown restaurant week. Not impressed with the choice of appetizers, chicken wings or beef heart. Both main courses were great and we took home the left overs! The rice pudding was nice and although it looked tasty it was a bit disappointing. We all regret we didn’t order from the regular menu. Can’t say I’ll hurry back.
Our fourth time visiting Mango and have not been disappointed once. As always, service was good and the food is phenomenal. Can't wait to return.
Don’t be scared of the word Peruvian- amazing choices. Acoustics don’t soften those who are over-serves from the bar but didn’t get in the way - terrific meal
Great place! Love coming here for the flavorful food and pitchers of sangria.
Lofty and open space with lots of windows and light.
Loved the ceviche, shrimp and calamari appetizers. Cocktails were awesome and so colorful.
Desserts were also terrific especially the flan.
Excellent restaurant, tasty food, good service. Lots of vegetarian options, dairy-free and gluten-free.
Planning a bridal shower. Our waitress was so nice and helpful. The food was delicious. Parking was easy.
Excellent food and fun environment.. service once received food could have been better, waitress barely stopped by for drink refills, etc
Of the half dozen times we’ve dined at Mango, this was the least impressive. The shredded chicken entree was a bit bland and was garnished with olives that seemed to clash with the dish. The service was top flight though, and it seems that Mango’s staff is the most pleasant in town. We’ll go back, and people should. Our latest experience was not par for their course; everyone has a bad day now and then.
Great food! Friendly staff! Beautiful restaurant! Get in the mood by starting with a pisco sour (the national beverage of Peru). For appetizers, try the ceviche, salmon causa, fried octopus, or empanada - all were amazing. For the main course, beef tenderloin tips with french fries (comfort food Peruvian style), shredded chicken in a mild pepper cream sauce, and fresh fish baked in slightly spicy creamy sauce - all were delicious. I've already told a few friends and can't wait to return.
It was our first time there. Our server, Monica, was wonderful. She made great recommendations, and explained things very well. Highly recommend.
Mango always has delicious daily specials, as well as a regular menu. The sangria is a must-have!
We wanted to try something a little different, but experience Latin food; this was a great choice with wonderful Peruvian food choices! Love the atmosphere and bar area location. The service was excellent, timely and personable with good guidance on menu and specific description of the specials. We decided to go with sharing three small plates for dinner: Jalea Mixta which was fried calamari, shrimp and other fish served with two dipping sauces, Anticuchos which are skewers of meat served with fried yucca and roasted corn (we choice the trio: beef, chicken, and beef heart), all of which were delicious, and a special, Empanadas which were beef spiced perfectly with a perfect kick! They also had a good selection of draft and bottled beers and a good wine list. We topped things off with a banana mousse served with ice cream and toppings (fantastic). Highly recommend this restaurant as people are nice, great ambience, and fabulous food!
Myself and my Sister in law and a friend traveled from Indy to St Louis for the weekend and wanted a nice dinner place, that offered accommodations for my Celiac food restrictions. I had made contact previously with the restaurant and spoke to Heather, she was very friendly and had great suggestions ! I was not disappointed and neither were my dinner companions. It was tasty and a lovely environment! The service was on point and we really enjoyed ourselves...the only negative is that we do not, unfortunately, have one in Indianapolis. :( Will definitely be going back if and when we travel to St Louis in the future.
Delicious food and great service.
Incredible. An item in our order was delivered incorrectly which was immediately corrected. Complementary champagne for our anniversary was the cherry on top. Beautiful meal. Perfect unique flavor. I would go back just for the pitcher of Sangria and Ceviche
Had a lovely light supper at Mango. Food was great! Interesting, well seasoned, very tasty.
Service was very good. It was a pleasant evening so we were able to eat out side.
I will happily go back!
Food was great. Service was good. Stay away from the booths if you don't want a sore butt and back.
Creative Peruvian cuisine. Great chips and sauce to start. Food was quite good and was reasonably priced. Really enjoyed the food but the service was good and attentive except in the beginning when nobody came by our table for quite some time due to a big group hogging all the attention. The restaurant however made up for the service lapse appropriately.
Was looking forward to a wonderful meal, however the service was so poor that it ruined the meal for us. The food was wonderful, but it took 25 minutes to receive our salads and then after the salad plates were removed we waited over 25 minutes for our entrée -- had to ask for it. the excuse was given that there was a large party in front of us, we had made the reservations 2 weeks in advance will have to think hard before we return after the poor service.
Never had Peruvian before. Very good food. Service was excellent!
We made a reservation for a group 4 days prior and were sadly disappointed. We were seated immediately, but about 30 minutes after being seated and not being seen by a server we had to get up and ask to be brought water and have our orders taken. We had a 90 minute period to eat lunch and unfortunately our food had not even been brought until over 2 hours later. We had to ask to have it put in to-go boxes. Unfortunately there didn’t seem to be any concern about the poor quality of service from anyone in the restaurant staff. I hope this feedback is helpful because the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and a lot of potential to be a wonderful place for a group meal.
Good food, terrible service, tip included, bad choice
Server was awesome! Very helpful with gluten allergy options.
Excellent food, service, ambiance, value, and adequate wine selection. Always., a successful go to venue whether dining with friends, family, special someone, or out of town guests. Extremely unique blend of authentic Peruvian-Japanese flavors overlayed on excellent balance of meat, seafood, and begins offerings...always a special selection of off menu nightly items...
Mango never disappoints! We enjoyed a GREAT meal (Scallops! YUM!!), GREAT wine. and AWESOME service. Thanks Nellie! They have a super menu selection, long wine list, unique cocktails, and a generous variety of beers.
no very peruvian tasting food. Cebiche was ok but needed to be more spicy. Sangria was too sweet. the Flan dessert was not very good.
Great food and service.
Try the Ceviche and the Yuca Frita, you won’t be disappointed.
The food was good. It was not particularly child-friendly, although there was a kid's menu. We had to ask for mugs to be given instead of the tall glasses (for a 3 and a 5 year old), which weren't even given with straws until we asked.
