Mangiamo Pronto Ratings and Reviews
This restaurant had good reviews but we were very disappointed . Our first clue should have been that it was virtually empty on a busy Sat eve. Server was nice but they were down wait staff. The Mediterranean Calimari was the highlight of the eve. Pasta was stuck together & very hard & chewy. Sent it back as it was inedible & came back the same way ☹️ Unless this place gets it together they will be out of business.
Food was good. It was nice of the chef to come by our table to make sure we liked our pasta dishes. However, service was terrible. I had to ask multiple times for the check and never got it. I decided to try this place for the 1000pt reservation however they never gave me my credit for my reservation. Don't be fooled by the points they offer for reserving through open table. They won't give you credit. I even called the restaurant when I found out they didn't credit me for dining there and they still haven't credited me. :( very disappointed
Mangiamo Pronto is one of our most favorite restaurants! We discovered it after we got back from our trip to Italy several years ago. The owner and staff are wonderful and attentive . The food is excellent and unique. Each time we go, we try something different and are never disappointed. We recently celebrated our our anniversary by going to Mangiamo Pronto and the owner presented us with a hand written note wishing us a happy anniversary. Plus, we received a free dessert. How could you not love this wonderful restaurant?!
Should have put 2 and 2 together when we arrived on a Saturday night and we were the only other party in the restaurant. Appetizers were fair. Asked for extra bread 3 times before we got it and then we're charged for it. Meals were horrific. Waitress "highly recommended " several dishes that were not even mediocre. Carbonara was downright disgusting and inedible. Cannot believe this place has been open for 8 years. The lamb was so tiny of a portion that we had to leave and get more food elsewhere. Pizzas were the only highlight here but not even enough to return.
We went before the Rockies game on a Friday night and had a great experience. They have a new creative menu, and everything we tried was excellent. Loved the cannoli and gelato for dessert. A very friendly place with good service. Great pre-game and pre-theater choice.
This restaurant was a find. It has fantastic food, great service and a fabulous wine list. My sister said that she frequents this restaurant for lunch and did not realize that they served dinner. the meal was great we ordered all different entries and shared. I will be coming back with my family for a nice night out downtown without all the crazy hustle and bustle that can be found when dining out in Downtown Denver.
We went here before going to the theatre, and the food was great! It felt a little slow, but we still had plenty of time to get to the theatre after our meal. The dessert was outstanding, especially the tiramisu (flavorful, yet light).
I highly recommend it, especially for dessert!
Our server (and I believe he was the restaurant manager as well) was outstanding - friendly, informative and fun. We went for restaurant week for dinner and did a wine pairing with each course. He explained the history behind each wine, why it was paired with each food and gave recommendations on where we could find the wine outside the restaurant. He gave us samples of certain drinks to see what we liked and even let us try the homemade pasts (even thought that was not what we ordered). He was very knowledgeable, but not uptight (which i sometimes feel when talking about wine haha). It was a casual, comfortable atmosphere, with high quality food. They are not known for dinner (more for lunch), but I would recommend going for dinner any night!
Always a pleasurable experience. Dana and her team create such an enjoyable atmosphere. From charming Matthew and his amazing wine selections & hand crafted cocktails to the delightful Justina.
This has and will continue to be a regular spot- just to grab a cup of great coffee & a treat or to sit down and enjoy the full dining experience.
Overcooked pasta and sloppy service at dinner ruined the meal. Our server asked us how things tasted as soon as she set down each of the three courses we ate. It took 30 minutes for our (tasty) salads to arrive and then another 30 for our mains. Flavors were decent, I can see how this place might do a good lunch but table service was poor at dinner.
Best homemade pasta dishes ever!!!
We started with fried mozzarella that wasn't fried at all but wrapped with prosciutto and it was phenomenal!! The homemade mozzarella alone is well worth checking this gem of a restaurant out. All pastas are homemade as well and made to order-which is rare...
I had the pollo pasta and my husband had the BLTA sandwich.
For dessert we finally found a place that knows how to make tiramisu-which I highly recommend as well.
Service was friendly, and quick making for a great evening. Can't wait for spring to eat out on the patio!
