Most ordered some type of seafood and salad and loved everything. The pear salad was very good. The sampling, variety of 4 different rolls was consumed quickly at our table.
Our drinks arrived quickly and they chilled our remaining wine for us during dinner.
The crab crusted seabass on shrimp risotto is what I had and it was amazing!! I sampled someones vodka pasta and it was excellent. Thanks Mangiamos! Always a great dinner!

Been coming here for years and it's consistently strong! Their chicken marsala is one of the best dishes I've ever had. My sister loves their scallops. A solid space without feeling like you're in a scene...

Food average at best. Meatball appetizer very good. Service very attentive. But food? Meh.

We come here a lot. It’s one of my friends favorite restaurants in Manhattan Beach. So for his birthday he wanted to come here again. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. My friend and I both chose the special of carbonara, it’s one of our favorites. We were with two other people one had Sandabs and loved them and my friend had the special halibut which she thought was not up to par. So that makes three meals that were disappointing. Carbonara had about seven specs of pancetta in it and very little flavor. They were nice enough to bring us a dish of pancetta to add to it but it did little to help. It was also my friends birthday and it was noted in the OpenTable reservation that it was a birthday celebration and we mentioned it to the waiter at the beginning and I expected a small dessert for the table however nothing came. We ordered ice cream to share and after that was finished a plate of bread pudding showed up. I found out that my friend went in and mentioned it. So that was a bit of a letdown too. I’m sure will be back again but it’s going to take a little while.

Happy Hour is very nice. Dinner on Saturday night too loud to have any reasonable conversation. Food is very good.

Great food, good service; but very close quarters, especially when surrounded by unruly children.

Probably your best option for authentic Italian dining in the South Bay. Has a great wine list, and everything I've had there is good.

The food is always excellent and reliable. Not always easy to park as it is Manhattan Beach, but we enjoy it enough to drive a bit.

We love Mangiamo’s and eat there often. I have food allergies and their staff and chefs are very concerned and diligent about how it’s handled. I am grateful for that. Their food is always excellent and service is all outstanding.

THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. IN HOUSE SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD. HOWEVER, LEFTOVERS SIMPLY STUFFED IN A CHINESE STYLE CARDBOARD BOX THAT HAD TO BE CAREFULLY SEPARATED THE NEXT NIGHT. VERY HIGH NOISE LEVEL! PARKING AVAILABILITY WAS TERRIBLE AND HAD TO PARK SEVERAL BLOCKS AWAY ON A COLD THURSDAY NIGHT. OTHER THAN THAT WOULD RECOMMEND TO OTHER DINERS.

If you are looking for the mixture of great food, service in Manhattan Beach, then look no further. I have been dining at this restaurant for years and always leave having had a great experience. They have added a special Sunday pasta menue which is both excellent and reasonably priced.

Food was not good at all. Back room is cozy front room is too loud. I came here years ago and was hoping it would be better. Service is good just menu needs a redo. I got gnocchi, friends got wild bird - none of us finished.

We came here for a Friday dinner and enjoyed Mangiamo thoroughly. We had the pear salad and the spicy king crab diavolo and both were awesome and delicious. It's close to the water and many other bars to head to afterwards for a night out. There is a good noise level, which is fine for us and great for 99% of occasions, but if you're looking for a very intimate, quiet setting, it might not be the best choice. Other than that caveat we will be back for sure.

Good but not great. Have been here many times and it is a reliable go-to. Unfortunately this visit they were trying to pass off something as sea bass that clearly was something else. The dinner special was described enticingly enough as sea bass over shrimp rissoto but what was served was a firm swordfish steak, possibly yellowtail, instead of the generally more delicate sea bass. Not an acceptable substitute and really easy to catch-no pun intended.

I’ve dined here a number of times and I’m never disappointed. Last Saturday’s dinner was exceptionally delicious and service was great!

We’ve been going to Mangiamos for over two years. Their food is consistently outstanding. We enjoy the ambiance and the pride they take in all areas of service. When we want to know we’ll be happy with dinner and not have service issues, great food, this is the restaurant we choose.

The main room can be very loud. Ask to sit in the wine room in the back , much quieter and intimate.

My girlfriend and I were celebrating Valentine's Day and we were more than happy to be there until they gave us our glasses of water and one of them came with lipstick on the rim like someone in the kitchen drank out of it. I doubt that it was freshly washed when they gave it to us. Honestly it was horrible experience to have at a restaurant that seemed very nice

I haven't been there for years. Used to go in the early 80's. We were staying up the street at the Shade and thought, why not go to dinner to a tried and true place. Glad we had a reservation. We were seated immediately. Others were given impossible wait times. There really isn't a great seat or table in there because it's so tight, but you go there for the food. We were seated in the main room up front, at the last table before there hallway of wine storage. Our waitress was great. understanding with us as I have food allergies to tomatoes (I love them, miss them and have to substitute a lot). Easily found something that would work.

This is the third wedding anniversary we have celebrated at Mangiamo restaurant and have enjoyed the food, drinks, and ambience for each. The food is excellent and the cocktails + wine are refreshing. Look forward to our next date night with Mangiamo!

Restaurant is quite small and VERY loud. It was so difficult to have a conversation. Service was far below what I excepted. We had to ask for water, bread and fresh pepper. Our server never asked if we would like coffee/ after dinner drink to go with our dessert.
The food was tasty and the potions were generous. We had a tomato tower to start. Pasta carbonara and penne vodka were flavorful. The chocolate soufflé was delicious!

Loud. Really loud. Really poor service. We were disappointed. Usually this place is spot on.

Do not know why I haven’t tried this neighborhood gem before. On a cool evening the wonderful, authentic pasta dishes were true comfort food. The service was wonderful and the environment was welcoming. Can’t wait to go back to try some of the wonderful looking fish and meat dishes I saw coming out of the kitchen. ...and the cauliflower appetizer was incredible!

Mangiamo never disappoints. The food is always tops no matter what you choose and service always attentive. Bartenders make great drinks too!

They were very organized and made all the customers that night feel welcome.

Amazing food like always. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for and would recommend anyday.
Only complaint is that the music is a little on the louder side.
