Great experience on the patio!
We had an excellent meal at Mandu, introducing our nephew to Korean food. Most dishes were really excellent , including Bibimbop, kalbi, and eggplant with pork belly. The mandu dumplings were also delicious, as well as the kfc chicken wings, However, the vegetable appetizer with acorn and mung bean jelly was disappointing and lacking in flavor. Also, the panchan items were fine but not outstanding. For dessert, the Korean donut was fabulous and we enjoyed the panna cotta with sesame cracker. Service throughout was excellent: attentive, helpful, and friendly. We would certainly return and our nephew and his roommate, who live in DC, plan to add it to their rotation.
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Mandu. The drinks were great, the food was amazing and the service was top notch. Looking forward to coming back next time we're looking for Korean for sure.
Appertizers were ok, fried chicken was pretty good, other appertizers were ok, not great. The main dishes are really subpar. Had much better before.
The portion size fir the duru jjigae is not what it used to be. Not sure if it’s inflation or what but that’s a bit sad as it’s such a yummy dish.
Good food; great service. The Mandu are amazing.
Excellent Korean food! Kimchi jigae was a little sweet but dolsot bibimbap, Mandu, and banshee were fantastic!
Hector was our server n was pleasant and accommodating. The food is amazing and authentic. Avery the manager was so sweet!
The food and service were great. Loved the veggie dumplings! Everyone in our group had something that they enjoyed. 2 folks had cocktails and loved them also. Try the mango juice!
The food was amazing. Awsome server. Very respectful servers. Can't wait to go back!
Great. It was delicious. Quick service. Beautiful setting.
The heater was very helpful for outdoor seating on the cold day.
Overall good, they are still taking extreme measures in regards to COVID-19 in a bad way.
Asked to move table slightly due to sun, and the staff denied it mentioning some non-real reason as if it would bring impending doom.
We sat outside on a beautiful night. Our server, Billy, was excellent- very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was AMAZING, we basically licked our plates. Highly recommend!
Although they only have outdoor seating at the moment, the service was gracious and knowledgable. The food was amazing! The savory porridge appetizer and the vegetable mandu were standouts.
The food was excellent, and the service was friendly. Outdoor seating was appreciated.
Great food, BibimBap is delicious. Reasonable prices and comfortable outdoor dining.
Delicious food, with scrumptious beef/pork and shrimp mandu (dumplings) outshining by far the vegetable mandas.
I always have a spectacular experience at Mandu!! I loved the happy hour before the pandemic started, and I think the restaurant is so spectacular: the food is always delicious, the service is wonderful and I love the decor. Because of all that, I have made a reservation every time I’ve been in Washington DC even during the pandemic. They have made adjustments, which is reflected in my review. There is more noise than usual, because they are only doing outside seating. Also with no happy hour, I do honestly feel the prices are a little on the high side, but that’s to be expected for a large city, and I don’t expect the happy hour deals right now since their volume is so low. Frankly I’d rather pay more during this time to make sure they stay open!
I love the Sojutinis, and their mandu are delicious, But you can’t go wrong with any item on the menu!
I always enjoy bringing first timers to this restaurant and I can’t wait to come back! I’m also looking forward to sitting at the bar again once we have the Nations health crisis under control!
It had some gluten free options and I did not get sick afterwards, which means that they do know how to handle GF food and avoid cross-contamination.
The food was delicious.
sat outside in 30 degree weather because of COVID. can't wait to try the place again when everything is back to normal(?).
The food was fantastic. We ordered the shrimp dumplings, grilled cabbage, chicken wings and the galbi. Each was excellent. We sat outside in the tents they had set up and ate while a storm raged around us.
Excellent, authentic Korean. Wonderful outdoor seating with COVID masking and social distancing. Big bonus: they sell homemade, bottled gochujang so you can take some home with you. Will be back for sure (this was my second visit).
Food was very salty and flavor wasn’t really Korean.
Fantastic socially distant (and dog friendly) outdoor dining experience!
Really solid restaurant all around. Food's got that extra something, the portions are always exactly right. And the price point is spot on.
Good food, good service, good time
Always a favourite of mine. You can never go wrong with the flavours, and measures put in place for Covid-19 are well managed.
Outstanding service, outstanding food, plenty of space between tables, all of the staff was wearing masks and remained an appropriate distance from the customers for any necessary discussions, I’d go back in a heartbeat.
great authentic Korean food! Menu isn’t huge but there are so many good options!
Changed the beef to brisket. No good. Disappointing because I loved the food and the staff is so nice there.
New menus was amazing! Glad to see Billy and the rest of the staff back in action. Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent food and service. I had the Kimchi Fried Rice and will definitely go back again for it. It was the best I have ever had.
Highly recommend the mandu, the seafood pancake, and their special dishes! Service was very friendly too.
We had a wonderful time. The food was fantastic our server was awesome. The kimchi is the best I have ever had. We also had kimchi fried rice and bulgogi that was out of this world. We will definitely be back!
This is one of the best Korean spots I’ve been to. I would highly recommend - the staff is super nice and the food is legit.
It was a Valentine’s Day date! And we had a lovely time, loved the seating upstairs, the food was yummy and the service was awesome.
