Horrific! Went there Valentine’s Day. Instead of asking for a deposit for reservation my partner and I had to pay upfront weeks before for our whole meal before even attending. I thought to give that the benefit of the doubt. Until going there then to see the music all night in a romantic night was louder than a club in shoreditch maximum volume. Racket of music. We had to scream to each other to talk on a romantic night. Never gave us a moment to be a couple and enhance the actually day. From start to finish a racket. Even had to shout my order to the waiter. Then the food ...absolutely useless. Tasted like microwave Iceland food very bland and tried to give us sauce on the side to spice the blandness. It was sooo bad. For a location in Mayfair I’ve never come across those standards in that area in my life!!! Don’t be fooled by the belly dancers absolutely whack £140 for nothing!!!!
Excellent food, poor service. Wait time between courses too long and extremely inattentive service, asked for a glass of wine which took 15 minutes & no apology. Nearly a 1hr wait in-between the starter and main course. Very poor.
Amazing ambience, great service, lovely friendly staff, excellent food
Perfect in every way
Gabriela our server was great the starters were good the mains poor and the whole thing was much too dear even with the Curzon St address
We arrived before our reservation and we were welcomed and taken to our table. We were then attended by the most polite and brilliant person called Gabrielle. We were well looked after by her. Thank you soo much for making our day extra special.
Disappointed in the food, ambience and service...very poor considering the location especially with Noura opposite. Possibly only good for shisha
The meat for the mixed grill was some cooked so perfectly, some of the best meat I’ve ever had, so tender and moist
Food pretty poor to be honest, we arrive at 845, we left at 1030 and never saw the belly dancer once. We had to continually ask for our wine to be topped up. It was so frustrating as we had asked to just keep the wine on the table and top up ourselves.
When we went to leave the restaurant upstairs, colleague came up to us and asked us to move on if we weren’t sitting down for shisha or dining! We had to say ‘we’ve just eaten downstairs thank you!’ Didn’t like the attitude of a lot of the staff and overall pretty disappointing from what could be an absolute gem of a restaurant! Now we know why we could easily get a table downstairs & half the tables were empty !!!!
Great place to eat and drink with friends. We had a great time and the DJ was excellent!
was a really good night out and the Polish waitress that we had was lovely. The food was very good and plenty of it.
Not really great if you are an open table member. Firstly they couldn’t find the reservation and as soon as they knew it was the 40% off food booking they told us it was the wrong branch. Then upon seating us we were told there was no fish or prawns available(they were served to the table next to us!) obviously as these were the most expensive items on the menu.
The waitress however was polite and did assist us in the order but it was the management who need to decide whether they want to serve open table customers or not?
When the food did arrive (we obviously were not the priority in the restaurant due to our discount!) it was tasty but it was obvious they wanted us out within the 1.5 hours limit.
So dont bother going if you are an open table customer as they don’t want us savvy types who are out to dine at decent establishments but look out for good discounts as as not prepared to pay the extortionate prices that are on offer!
Service good only for people they know , we waited for 1h for the food while table next to us were served instantaneously . Food OK but not worth it .
Nora across the street must be better choice
Amazing dinner and best shisha❤️
Always a blast
A bit of a hit & miss with the food
Too overpriced for what you get. We had to pay a £5 cover for belly dancer which never turned up and we weren't informed of it. Other customers got preferential treatment which made us feel very under appreciated. Really poor overall experience and no value for money.
I was allocated a table for two with my date period unfortunately this table was situated right next to an area for only staff access. However this area was then later used by the main patrons which kept bumping into my chair whilst I was eating without apology to which the management and the door staff became aggressive because I was complaining that I was eating my food and it was not fair. The only people that made a stay for the main course were the blonde female and the bar staff their service was on point
The staff was extremely polite
Delicious food, cosy table, efficient nice service
Food was delicious. Dessert was epic. Cocktails were amazing. Slightly overpriced for the quantity you receive but the quality was definitely there.
Shisha was cramped and very expensive. Would like to see more flavour options available. Plus it was very cold and the heating was not having any effect on us.
Overall good experience.
Food was absolutely delicious. Good service drinks and music! Would definitely go back.
The restaurant was nice and quite wasn’t busy on a Friday night which was good.
The waiter so brilliant lovely young guys.
The food not so great the platter is for 2 but not filling need to offer more on the platter taking in mind of the price just for 5 pierce of meat.
Standards definitely have dropped here as I returned here only due to a good experience last time I visited here but not impressed with this place at all now !!
1) the booking - I used open table to reserve a table and I didn’t hear anything or receive any confirmation. I took it upon myself to email them also to see if they had received my booking to which I got no reply. When we got to the restaurant and we were rudely told downstairs was dull and to sit in the lounge by the most unhelpful & most unfriendly host olga who was trying to usher us to our seats quickly in the lounge area which is as soon as you come in and is the bar area which is drafty and no entertainment!
2) Service - I requested we sit down stairs as that’s why we came here for the entertainment. I have been here before for my birthday previously and highly recommended this place to my friends for which we were celebrating our birthdays. Olga was super rude and just dismissed requests and said no you can’t sit downstairs. I felt like she was looking at us up & down and being like “you don’t belong here” I asked her if we could be seated downstairs when a table is available. She said “have your meal here and then go down and can sit at the bar to watch the entertainment “
I was furious and wanted to walk out there and then but I didn’t as had planned the night around Mayfair but I wish I did leave then !!!! What kind of service is that when she was so abrupt and rude and doesn’t realise we have plenty of money to spend here that’s why we are here! I was offended as we all were dressed smart, elegant & sexy, maybe we Made her feel insecure who knows?!!, STILL NO EXCUSE FOR THAT BEHAVIOUR.
The only decent service came from our waiter Zakeer whom we later discovered was the manager and he was the most attentive waiter with great service for which I give this review I 2** for otherwise it would be 1.!! He was actually the manager and said he will speak to her about her behaviour.
The staff excellent but the Arabic band Disrespect and harassment with girls totally didn’t recommend for classy couple . Don’t go bad place
Excellent service and great food! Went for anniversary and the wife loved it. Music was good and the waiter was very helpful always checking up at the right time and offering more bread for hummus etc and offering drinks. Food was served well and in good presentation. I highly recommend this place
Lovely service and great entertainment. Food was okay, small portions but everyone was very friendly. Nice place.
Food was good, but the portions were very small for the price but this was expected due to the location of the restaurant. The shisha area is very basic and small and the member of staff managing the area was very rude. Waitering staff inside were pleasant.
Bouncer was rude and greeted us with a very unwelcoming look I told him I have a reservation he answered with a rude glare “I don’t think you do” he walked us through to the lady at the desk who took my name and then showed me to my seat. We ordered drinks that took 15 minuets by that time we was starving we asked for black currant syrup in the lemonade we was look at us like we was stupid... ordered the mixed 5 starters a shisah but by the time we ordered another drink and the waiters attitude had gotten to us to much we just decided to pay the bill and leave. Would not recommend to people who are not of that culture don’t waste your time feeling out of place and uncomfortable. Upsetting tbh.
A very nice place with great food. Sheesha is expensive though .
The place is beautiful, the restaurant service is very friendly and pleasent but not professional, our starters were served at the same time as main courses and we were told we needed to be clear that we wanted the starters before. Wine list is nice but again wine servers need training on the basics of how to pour and how much to pour. After dinner we move outdoors for Shisha which was superb, excellent service and ambiance and would rate this part 5/5 and while very expensive, the quality and the service justify the price
Pleasant staff and good food. However, we felt watched over possibly due to the small size of this restaurant. Our bill arrived almost as soon as he had put our knives and forks on the plate.
We didn't leave immediately and was then told the table was needed even though there was no one waiting.
The service was amazing, our waiter was French marocain and he was sooooo lovely and very smiley.
Food was nice and staff were friendly. Place is too noisy. Deserts could have been better overall enjoyed the evening with another friend.
Good was nice but service was very slow and intertainment was an absolute joke. Music extremely loud. Would not recommend!
Lovely night as per usual - had lots of fun
Knightsbridge Mamounia it’s winning.
Food and dining layout we loved more.
Mayfair it’s nice spot to Socialise who likes more Shisha and get together for some cocktails.
The food was all really good and the service was great. The menu is slightly overpriced in terms of the portion size and there was a recommended spend per person despite the restaurant being fairly quiet for a Friday night. The entertainment is good however maybe a bit too loud for the number of people seated at the time. Overall good experience! Probably better for a special occasion!
We had a fantastic Valentine's dinner here. The food was outstanding (and my mother in law is Syrian so I am used to good Arab food), the waiter (a Spanish guy) was terrific and everyone was welcoming and warm.
Only downside was the volume of the music and the lady singing which prevented us from having a civilised conversation. They should address that.
Will definitively come back.
We did not feel welcome on this place. I was there last tuesday and the waiter did not make us feel welcome at all, i think she might be tired or sleepy but that was not our problem. She made wrong order twice but the manager was quick to react.
I was looking forward for my last night in London in Mamonia but it was a disappointment for me and my friend.
Fabulous evening xx
