Food is an essential part of all family and social interactions in the Middle East where people grow up with intense flavors, colorful, vibrant foods fresh from the marketplace, prepared simply and with a lot of passion. Aromatic herbs fill the streets and a spirit of warmth and generosity exudes welcome at any table.
Here at Mamnoon, we share these strengths brought with us from Lebanon and Syria to the new world of Seattle – where modern curiosity, compassion, progressive values and tolerance are paving the way for harmonious integration and celebration of cultures and flavors.
What Insiders Are Saying
Mamnoon in Capitol Hill makes the best Mediterranean food in Seattle, and also works for just about any dining situation.
I always love the fried cauliflower, this time was no exception.
All the food was solid, hummus was the only real stand out. My problem with the meal was how rushed everything felt. Ordered cocktails and ordered small plates and entrees half way through our cocktails. Small plates arrived while still drinking out cocktails and the spacing between small plates and entrees was not nearly long enough. Decent meal but hate being rushed
Our drinks took a while to arrive but they were delicious when they finally did. Our server offered apologies for food coming out a few minutes before cocktails but that was it. Would've been nice to have some type of accommodation for waiting but it's not a deathblow to the meal at all. Which was quite delicious, although sat heavier in my stomach that I would have thought.
Absolutely the BEST filafil and baba I’ve ever had PLUS terrific service
Delicious and delightful. Order anything, order everything. Impossible to go wrong.
We love it!
Second time visiting. The food is always good, this time it took a little longer to get our food. Our waiter asked us if he could offer us some desserts but by that time we were ready to go. Overall a good restaurant and would recommend!
Willow was our server and what a great job!!!
The food was good a little pricey though, I think the price is expensive. I noticed the chef kept licking his fingers when he was preparing the food, not a good sight.
The many layers of flavor .Ade every bite an experience.
We had kafta, the meat quality was terrible.
Mamnoon was fantastic. Our server was perfect- offering good advice on dishes and quantities. The sommelier helped us choose a great, interesting, food perfect wine. We loved every dish. It is such interesting food and tastes healthy and satisfying and fun.
Our first time eating there, and it was fantastic! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Will definitely be back!
After many unsuccessful attempts to secure a reservation on a weekend, I was finally able to get a reservation mid-week. And, boy, I can't believe I waited so long to make it happen. This is currently the best dining experience in Seattle. The decor is somehow both eclectic and elegant at the same time. It's comfortable and good for groups, yet not too loud. But most important, let's talk about the food. It is AMAZING. I suspect there are some people who might be inclined to skip this restaurant because they don't like middle eastern cuisine -- but that's only because they haven't tried this place. The food is simply perfect. If you haven't gone yet -- GO!! Make a reservation RIGHT NOW! You will not regret it.
The appetizers were amazing-best hummus, ever. Good service! The food is way too spiced-up (was burping for hours). Place can get noisy (lively)
Excellent except for a very drunk and loud party behind us.
The kafta was exremely hot .it should have been noted on the menu.
The tawook chicken was dry.
The wait staff person we had was outstanding. And it's the perfect venue to go to and then walk down the street to the Paramount for a show.
The service was excellent. We did the sampler menu. Great value for the variety. Their custom drinks were complex and tasty. (Old Beirut was my favorite) The physical space could use a little refreshing but it’s easily overlooked because the service and food is so amazing. Thank you for a great evening!
One of the best places I have been for brunch in Seattle. Everything we had was tasty, the ambiance was relaxing and comfortable. We especially appreciated that there were lots of vegetarian options on the menu - a rare occurrence around here. The service was a little slow but it was actually very nice because we were just sitting and chatting and enjoying ourselves - it was nice to not feel pressured to get in and out as quickly as possible. I highly recommend the rose pancakes and also the breakfast plate!
Great location in a hip part of town. Great and attentive service - everyone was very friendly across the board whether it was the host, the server, or the busters. Not our first time, and we always recommend for both special occasions AND regular meals.
The only sour note came after we ordered dessert. It took about 20 min for a simple dish to be served. The server was apologetic and the dessert was tasty.
Food was good. But used to be excellent . The Falafel was very very salty and pita bread was very doughy in texture. Unpleasant to eat, seems food has taken a dip. Some dishes missing the correct flavor profile associated with Lebanese cuisine they were off the mark. But I question why they don't serve theb pita bread straight from the oven. It looked delicious, fluffy and fresh coming out of oven but then it sits in a container before being served. Positive the dolmas and kibba were both excellent.. but ill give them another chance to improve as Lebanese cuisine is still one of my favorites..
That was the second time I had dinner at Mamnoon. Both experiences were absolutely commandable. The food was exquisite , prepared with care, presented with elegance. We also enjoyed the wine, aptly recommended by our excellent waitress.
Brilliant! I’ve organized several dinners of 12 or more persons and Mamnoon ALWAYS delivers!!!! Everything was spectacular. Several folks at the table hadn’t been yet and they absolutely loved it! Merci Mamnoon.
Food great but very noisy due to table of 10 party right next to us.
I loved the food and drinks. I want to come back and try all of the foods and deserts I didn't try the first time! It's quite loud and busy so not ideal for a quiet romantic date.
Everything was good-but it’s on the pricey side
The service was quite slow. Why not different menu for fast food ?
Food arrived cold. Chicken on shvarma seems to be a leftover from previous day or so.. too dry.
There are plenty of food and drink options--especially those likely to not be offered at other local restaurants/bars.
Had a great dinner at Mamnoon Sunday night with friends. Our waiter recomended ordering 2 entrees and 5 meze’s for our party of 4. We ordered 3 meze’s and 2 entrees and were full by the time we got our entrees. The cauliflower, beets and eggplant with meat were outstanding. Entree’s were a bit salty for our tastes but on the whole, an excellent dinner!!!
delicious! the fish stew was incredible and Aaron paired it with a fun and interesting wine. Everything was delightful, as usual!
Fabulous place to dine. The food is delish! It is our go to restaurant!
Bens birthday dinner was extra special
We used to love Mamoon. But our Friday dinner was ‘meh’ and forgettable. We were on the wait list via open table for 7:30p first on list...didn’t get seated till 8:15p. The service and kitchen was too backed up. The pita bread was raw...we send it back to get fresh crisp ones. Our waiter got same ones back but dried up. Hummus was excellent.
We ordered immediately but the entrees took ages to get it. We checked twice but finally arrived and was cold! No sorry or apologies
Definitely not going back till they improve. Need to find the next Mediterranean restaurant. :(
For date night. What we got: the "shamandar"-- 6/5 stars! Our entrees were mamnoon taouk and kibbet yaqteen-- both delicious. My spouse tried a tasty Lebanese wine, and because I'm pregnant I ordered a mocktail. We can recommend all. Finally, we rounded off dinner with the dessert recommendation from our server-- it was the halawet jibneh. Wow, wow, wow-- put this in your mouth at your earliest opportunity.
Always delicious and fun for friends or work! Get their sampler platter and go for a ton of small plates if you have a sharing crowd!
