By far one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in Boston. If you’re in the north end it’s such a good option, and I definitely recommend getting the summertime ravioli!
Amazing experience! Had Mario as our server and he was perfect from the wine all the way to our dessert. Would recommend this place to anyone, just make sure you ask for Mario!
What an amazing setting! It’s located in the same area as Paul Revere’s home and a little open square on the middle with tables set out for the two restaurants! It’s as close as you will come to being in Italy! The food amazing!!! The setting fantastic! So so good! And my children (20s) and husband could not say enough about how much the enjoyed it!
The best Italian food, the best service and the best experience!
We loved our night at Mama Maria’s! It started out rough though… we were seated in a corner, upstairs in a very loud and crowded room. My hub asked if we could sit at the bar instead and it changed the night! The bartenders were amazing, the food was outstanding and we left the restaurant with a wonderful experience!
Outstanding food & service! Best I have ever had for "upscale" Italian.
For truly everyday homemade Italian food, go to Pagliuca's on Parmenter.
We were able to get a reservation the same night, this place came highly recommended by a lot of online reviews/friends etc.
The staff were all courteous and professional. We were able to sit on the second floor, which I think is the best seating area because the view of the North and streets and alleys is really nice. The interior is beautiful, like eating in a fancy old-timey house. Loved how it was decorated and was happy to sit facing inward while my fellow guests faced the window.
The food was really awesome. Some dishes we ordered were definitely better than others. Some blew your mind, while others were more "yeah that was good, but not very exciting". I think it may just be a matter of going a few times learning the menu. The portions were good, we were able to order a lot of things and split them all between us, because everyone wanted to try everything.
The real standout here, though, was our server: Mario. He was a spectacular server who was very attentive and charismatic. He told us stories, helped us with questions about food and such, and really looked out for us. Super awesome experience, so much so that next time we go I'd definitely ask to be served by Mario again if possible.
This is our first experience of such a beautiful dinner with you! It was a most wonderful evening..from the greeting to the server Mario to the assisting staff, wow! The food was exceptional with nothing but exquisiteness. Thank you!
Dropped a few coins for sure, but it was worth it! Food was fantastic--cooked and seasoned to perfection. Waiter was attentive and generous with wine pours, but never hovered. Other staff was just always there when you needed them, put were not a bother. Bravo! Bravissimo!!
Excellent food and service in a wonderful environment!
Wonderful experience with my wife for our wedding anniversary!! Thank you!! Franck
Very authentic Italian ambience and food. The lobster agnolotti was extraordinary and the rabbit ragu was moist, creamy and rich in flavor. Extensive wine list, but we went with the waiter's recommendation and it paired perfectly with our food. Overall, exactly the experience we were looking for.
Wonderful experience! The good was excellent and the service was terrific. The rabbit pasta dish was great and fresh pesto was delicious.
Our favorite restaurant in the North End
Fabulous food, quality service and wonderful atmosphere in the beautiful outdoor square. We had an unforgettable dining experience on a pleasant summer night.
Outstanding from beginning to end. We ordered the baked oysters, carpaccio, lobster agnolotti and summer ravioli. Everything was prepared to perfection! Can’t wait to go back!
Romantic atmosphere, five star service and food.
Wonderful food, wine and service. Highly recommend.
One of the best and traditional Italian restaurants in the North End in Boston. Not pretentious, warm, and homey atmosphere.
Went with my teenage daughters. Server was professional and helpful. Wonderful meal.
Wonderful restaurant with consistent high-quality food and service. You always feel welcome.
It was delish. Our server was so helpful with recommendations. Will visit again!!
My absolute favorite restaurant in the North End! You’re always impressed by the quality of the food, the presentation, the ambiance, and the service at this place. You can’t go wrong with any of the pastas. The best.
Another great meal at Mama Maria's. While we planned to eat outside ... the rain drove us inside and the VALET was very nice. Food and service fantastic as always. A+++
Our server, Guy, was incredible! His menu recommendations were spot on.
Superb food and service. Outdoor dining is in a beautiful location.
Wonderful dining experience
For a romantic dinner or fun with friends who enjoy an exquisite meal
Lobster Pasta was outstanding! Romantic and quaint.
Service was painfully slow. Had to ask for water three times and took 20-25 minutes for the waiter to come back after greeting us. Sure it was a full restaurant, but we were ignored for way too long. The ambiance was very flat, compared to most restaurants in the North End. Great place for a quiet meal if you have plenty of time.
Food was phenomenal. I had the Lamb Three Ways and it was out of this world. It’s a standard item on the menu and for good reason. My wife had the Rabbit Pasta — meaty and hearty and the perfect serving size.
Delicious! Fabulous menu, excellent staff and perfectly prepared dishes!
Good food yum i like i eat good yum food it enjoy yay yummy
Outstanding service and food. We had a wonderful evening
Very nice restaurant in cool historic building in the North End. The food is always fabulous. In particular, the Oso Bucco is just amazing! Highly recommend!
Great as always!
Best Italian food this KY girl had ever had in Boston
Great atmosphere and delicious sophisticated menu.
This restaurant was outstanding. We had our own private room and the food was incredible.
couldn’t have asked for a better meal and staff. they were able to accommodate us when our reservation outside had to be canceled due to weather. would recommend for any local and/or visitor in Boston!
