   Alexa was the BEST server we’ve had in the 16 years we have been frequenting Mamas Fish House. She went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable and gave great menu recommendations. The beef short rib was unreal! The Haleakala Beef papaya and vanilla Tahitian coconut shrimp were phenomenal. Highly recommend trying some of the non fish options, although all the fish dishes are great! We will be going back again and asking for Alexa! 😉

   Lives up to all the hype! Reservations were nearly impossible to get 4 months out but glad we got lucky. All flavors in each dish were complimentary to each other. The Lobster Lau soup was outstanding. Had Arctic tooth fish for the first time. So tender and flaky. The signature Black Pearl dessert really was a giant black pearl (mousse) inside a cookie shell. Beautiful and delicious.

   My mom and I had a wonderful time. The service was incredible. Our server, Karen, was very knowledgeable. The atmosphere was intimate and quaint. The food was perfect—the presentation, flavor, everything was awesome! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

   One of the most enjoyable meals I’ve ever had. Everything I put in my mouth was wonderful. The highlights were the beef and papaya, crab cakes, shrimp wontons, whole fried fish special, and the banana crisp dessert.

   This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I can now understand why it is booked out 6 months in advance. It truly did not disappoint. The service was also fantastic, our waitress made the experience that much better. She really catered to our tastes and took the time to understand what we might like and what we wouldn’t. We got to try a bunch of new things we normally wouldn’t and they all ended up being our favorite parts of the meal. They change their menu every day so it’s always a new experience. And their fish is caught fresh daily, so you’re always getting the best. Overall, this is a must-go in Maui and worth every penny.

   What a great evening. The atmosphere was lovely and elegant, the space is quiet with a gentle hubbub, the service was exceptional and the food was pretty amazing. We enjoyed everything about the meal. The price is a bit steep, but worth it. What fun.

    Have been to Mamas Fish house for my birthday for several years .. wasn’t able to get a reservation in 2019 , then Covid and couldn’t travel from Canada in 2020. Couldn’t reserve in 2021 due to being all booked up .. finally was able to reserve in 2022 ! Never disappoints ! Was the best waiting ever ! Hope to get back for 2023 !

    Was the food good? Yes. Was the service excellent and friendly and welcoming? Yes. Is the ambience great? Yes. Is it worth the price? I guess so, because it is hard to get a reservation. But it is not that extraordinary that I would either routinely dine there, or even go for special occasions. It is a “checklist” place, where we went for a special occasion and we happened to be on Maui. If you are like us, be prepared to spend over $100 per person, and just enjoy it. Once.

    Best trout ever. Mac nut Mahi-mahi with lobster outstanding. Gil our waiter was personable and attentive. Nice ladies filling our water glasses kept us hydrated and were also very friendly. We have been coming here since the 80s and love the experience every time.

    The experience at Mama’s begins with the beach area in front of the restaurant. Lovely cove with a soft surf. The restaurant itself is tastefully decorated with island decor. In one dining room long canoes hang from the ceiling. The food was very fresh and well prepared. Mostly fish, but a few beef dishes offered. Dining at Mama’s is a special experience.

    Mama’s Fish House was off . the . hook!!!! Alexa was our server and absolutely hit it out of the park! My wife has to eat GF and DF and she knew everything about the menu, what my wife could or could not have, and also what substitutions could be made for ANY menu item! She was fantastic! The food? The best meal we’ve had in a LONG time. We already have a reservation to go back Saturday before we leave to go back home.

    We came to celebrate my boyfriend's 44th birthday. As locals we don't have the budget to dine out often and especially fine dining of this caliber, but it was well worth the splurge. The ambiance and scenery are so beautiful and welcoming. The level of service received from the staff was top notch. Our server Jeff and bartender Pono were so accommodating and attentive. The food was AMAZING!!! Every aspect of the meal was timed perfectly, plated beautifully, and absolutely scrumptious! We thoroughly enjoyed this evening and hope to come again in the future.

    We visited for our 47th anniversary dinner. It couldn’t have been better! Starting with the valet parking, continuing with the beautiful view and grounds, on into the beautiful restaurant with awesome woodworking, to the exquisitely prepared food and excellent service, all was amazing! For a special occasion, it simply cannot be beat!
