Mama's Fish House is a converted beach house in a coconut grove on a secluded white sand beach. Inside, hinged windows open to let in the trade winds and Polynesian artifacts and original oil paintings decorate tropical hardwood walls. The rooms are filled with spectacular flower arrangements and tapa print cloths cover the tables. Open air dining is equally exciting, and everyone enjoys watching the windsurfers performing offshore.

Must be the best seafood restaurant in US. Had the Ono and wife the lobster tails. Could not have been better. Service by Jenny was impeccable.

We had dinner here on the last night of our stay in Maui and it had to be the best restaurant experience! The Restaurant seated us at a table with window view, looking out to the ocean and even had personalized “Congratulations” card for us wishing us Happy Honeymoon! The service was excellent and the food was phenomenal! Highly recommended!!

Mama’s Fish House is the place you hear everyone rave about on Maui and there’s a reason. You definitely need to make your reservations in advance...like 3 weeks in advance but it’s totally worth it. This place is a well oiled machine, they have every detail covered. The service is excellent, the views are pristine and the food is phenomenal. We went for lunch and it was perfect. A must visit.

Frequent local customer...wish you still had Kama’aina rates. I bring in lots of out of town guests...and enabled a write-up for National Geographic Traveller Magazine.
You used to to give Birthday deals for locals,too...

We booked months in advance and it was worth it. Server (Michael I think) knew every part of the menu. He really helped us decide with suggestions and pairing ideas. All of the food was outstanding. The papaya steak appetizer was perfectly balanced. The banana crumble dessert was mind blowing. Any time food was delivered or cleared it was seamless, the staff definitely know what they are doing. It was our last night in Maui and this was the perfect final dinner. Thank you to the entire staff.

Mamas Fish house is the best seafood restaurant my wife and I have ever been to. Nestled in a cove on the North Shore of Maui the view from the restaurant is spectacular. The ambiance had that peaceful easy Feeling. Our waitress was relaxed, caring and very knowledgeable. She seemed to be there when needed without hovering around. I am a Seafood lover and would gladly have ordered anything on the extensive Menu. My wife and I ordered the Crab bisque for staters.......Not to be missed... Mama’s stuffed Fish was Our next choice. It was amazing. We finished off with Banana Crumble and Ice Cream and a cup of home brewed coffee.
All in all a wonderful experience !!!!!!!!!

We’ve been having dinner at Momas every year for 25 years on vacation. It’s always been fabulous but this year was the best ever. Can’t wait to go back.

The food is amazing and the view is gorgeous!! Definitely try the fish crispy wrap! The only down side is that it’s so popular it’s hard to get reservation so you either need to book way in advance or be flexible with your schedule, but definitely worth it!!

Mama’s is a destination. Reservations need to be made about a month before to have flexibility. On site parking by attendants is really nice. The lunch was a superb. We ordered a large shrimp served on vanilla tahician vanilla sauce we split as an appetizer. They used to serve as an appetizer, but no more.. Big mistake. Every main dish we ordered was superbly prepared and served. Before the appetizer was served the chef prepares a cup of taste setter. Outstanding.
Finally the deserts...The Pearl is a must. It looks beautiful, tastes even better. Also had an outstanding chocolate cake. Perhaps too much, but calories be damned!!! Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Kelsey greeted us at the bar and we ordered pupu’s. We left to take selfies while she was setting up and then our friendly hostess seated us at our table. The bartender found us and assured us that the food was on its way. Everything was delightful. Our busser and server, Jackie were extremely good and appeared to truly enjoy their jobs. Food was beyond our expectations. We had the stuffed fish and lobster, crab cakes and ceviche. Dessert was Chocolate pie. We will be back. We were fortunate to get table 241 and sat like a King and Queen. It was a truly memorable evening celebrating our love.

Four of us had dinner at Mama's at 8:15 on Saturday, February 22nd. The food and the service at the table was excellent. I found the people at the check-in desk (inside the restaurant) rather patronizing and indifferent. We told them we would wait at the bar. They said "OK". When we got to the bar, we were told, you need a "white card" to get drinks at the bar. When I went back to get the card at the check-in desk, they acted like they were doing me a favor. Not the kind of attitude I expect at Mama's.

Mama's Fish House was exactly what you would think a very nice fish restaurant in Hawaii should be. The food was very good, not exceptional but the service was pretty darn impeccable (easy going without being too casual, knowledgable without being pompous, tentative without being hovering). The ambiance was beautiful. Next time we'll have to go during sunset. From what I understand the view is something special. Unfortunately, we were there after the sun went down. The price is not cheap. But, it's one of those, "you get what you pay for" sort of things.

Mamas is an icon on Maui so after many trips to the island we figured it was tome to check it off our list. It was good but not the epic experience we had been led to believe it would be. Super fresh fish and good service. We were just a bit underwhelmed after all the hype.

The appetizers were all fantastic, we had the the Tahitian prepared Ahi from the raw section, the macadamia crusted lambchop special and the always popular fish rolls and shrimp wonton. The Mama's stuffed fish lived up to its signature status, the steamed arctic 51 special was amazing and the seared kampachi with kalua pig rice was spectacular. All in all a super enjoyable meal!

The atmosphere is unbeatable at Mama’s. It feels like being on a movie set, without feeling artificial. There is a warmth from excellent service and attention given to all the details. Our food was excellent, as always. I take great delight in the beautiful tropical floral arrangements all around as a reminder of what a special place the islands are. It is expensive, but I consider it like paying for theater tickets. You are immersed in something memorable for an evening, that you can not experience otherwise. We’ve had the pleasure of sharing Mama’s with our adult children on two visits, they were equally delighted. (One is a foodie who lives in Manhattan- thumbs up. The other lives on Island and was harder to convince of the value, but she too was won over). With luck, we will return for our sixth visit to Mama’s next year.

This was our first time having a daylight late lunch at Mama's Fish House. It was beautiful as always, but this time we were able to enjoy watching the beach scene and falling in love with the waves and shoreline. The evening is special as well with the tiki torches lit, but one can't see the ocean. Both are memorable experiences.

We love Mama’s and I try to get there every time I visit Maui. Always a marvelous meal - and helpful waitpersons and gorgeous scenery make the whole experience memorable. I am also delighted that you now sell tablecloths with your famous blue batik pattern. It is a nice reminder of many great meals.

We were treated like royalty and the food was phenomenal! The only thing that could possibly be a down fall is that the prices are a reflection of that. You definitely get what you pay for. We will be back, just not every day.
