Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent as always. We were celebrating our 41st Anniversary and they had a hand signed card from the owner at our table. Our waiter was outstanding, checked on us frequently and never let our drinks get empty. We love Mama's and can't wait for our next visit.

Ours was a beautiful evening. We had superior open air seating beachside. Jeffery, our wait person, did a warm and hospitable job. Overall a very special experience.

There is nothing better than Mommas! The food and service is so special. Then there is the most amazing location this side of Heaven!

Absolutely the best food on the island! Doesn't matter what day or what time of day you eat here, it's absolutely delicious! You can't go wrong with anything. I always get the lobster and crab stuffed fish. My husband got the short rib and lobster combo and it was really delicious.

I'm not sure my review would do justice. For starters, the view is amazing, even from back in the restaurant. We had a late lunch/early dinner, so the surf was on display. Well made cocktails. Beautifully presented plates, and the food was amazing. Nicely prepared fish. Service is attentive, but not obtrusive. It is on the expensive side, but a meal you'll remember.

My wife and I decided to splurge and were lucky enough to get a reservation for lunch the same week we arrived in Maui. The restaurant is a perfect fit for the grounds, which are beautiful. Brad was our server and we couldn’t have had a better one. The food and service was first class, in fact the whole experience couldn’t have been better. Thanks to the whole staff, as we know it just doesn’t happen unless everyone cares enough to make it special.

Great food. Promptly seated at the time of our reservation. One issue was my reservation was changed last minute to 7:00 without my having done anything, and when I called to correct this issue, the blame was placed on me even though I had confirmed the reservation via text the day before to be at 8:15pm.

Wait was a little longer than expected even with a reservation with a requested window seat. After other people were seated at the window after getting there after us, we just asked for the next table available.
I went there for a special occasion 50th birthday, and once seated at the table, there was a little bday card and the hostess said happy birthday and walked away.
The waiter was nice, but nothing extraordinarily friendly.
Food was delicious but my husband thought Dukes filet was much better.
Waiter brought my ice cream to the table stuck a candle in it let it and said happy birthday and again walked away.
This night was far from special.

Mama’s fish house is always a few steps above the rest! Our most favorite restaurant on Maui and probably our most favorite in the world. The setting, the view, ambience and exceptional service and cuisine are always the best of the best and our most favorite dining experience consistently. We love everything about Mama’s ♥️🌺🧜‍♀️🍍

Everything about this restaurant is fantastic! The mahi mahi melted in my mouth! The salad was so fresh! We enjoyed the turtles on the beach too!

We always splurge on one really nice meal during vacation and Mama’s Fish House did not disappoint. Our sever was amazing and so knowledgeable and the food was delicious. We would definitely eat there again!

This was my second trip to Maui in five weeks & second time visiting Mama's Fish House. Last month the wife did not want to eat there because she did not want to pay that much for a meal. We did not have a reservation that night for we were driving home from the road to Hana & just stopped to look at the menu. We might not have been able to eat there had we pursued it. The following month I returned with a friend that was open to splurging with a great meal. Again we had a problem with scoring a coveted reservation the 2nd day of our six day visit. There was a cancellation & we grabbed it. lt was worth the wait, both of us were happy with our experience there. We had an attentive staff and the food was excellent. I also had to have the creme brulee, another fine choice. Yes, it was more then I'd normally spend on a meal, but I don't do this often & there is only one Mama's Fish House. Just make sure to make a reservation a week or two before arrival due to Covid and limited seating.

Vacation dinner. Jeff was an amazing server and made our experience so enjoyable. The fish was delicious and the drinks were tasty.

Manager seated us with interesting and polite conversation. Our waiter, Joel, was superb with excellent recommendations and interesting local knowledge. Food and drinks were excellent.

We had a great time at Mama’s Fish House. As always food was first rate and we love the atmosphere in the restaurant. A must stop for anyone visiting Maui.

We come nearly once a quarter. I don't know why we seem surprised each time we visit because the food is ALWAYS amazing and the wait staff beyond wonderful. Don't let the unfriendly first points of contact throw you off. That seems to be consistent as well. Once you are inside, you won't be sorry with the service or food.
A few favorites: Bouillabaisse, lobster & crab stuffed fish, and curry dish. We always get the French pressed coffee for dessert and our current favorite cocktail is the Pau Hana.

A Paia, Maui tradition for a reason! The seafood here is outstanding. Everything was excellent from the sounds of the ocean to the dessert drink. The staff was outstandingly hospitable and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Certainly a "don't miss" if you make it happen!

Awesome food and staff. Coming from the Midwest, prices seem high. The quality was great, so won’t complain

Most beautiful restaurant location on Maui. Authentic tropical vibe. Service attentive but efficient. You are not rushed but food arrives quickly. Lovely presentation and desserts are faboulous. I had the passion fruit creme brûlée and my husband had the Polynesian Pearl which was exquisite. You are welcome to explore the beach area before and after your meal. There were two very large sea turtles in the sand which made things even more special.

ALWAYS THE BEST ON MAUI! Been to Mama’s several times and we look forward to returning. It’s the first thing we book when we plan our trip.

Absolutely amazing food, ambiance and service. This is Michelin star caliber for sure one of the best restaurants on the island for sure.
