This was one of the best meals my husband and I have ever had. The restaurant is beautiful and the ambiance with the ocean waves and breeze through the open air windows was just incredible. Our server was very informative, friendly, and helpful. From the drinks to the ceviche appetizer to the entree, the food was amazing. I can see how there’s usually a six month waiting list. If you ever get to Maui, you have to go to Mama’s Fish House!

Mama’s Fish house is AMAZING, it always is!! I have never been disappointed, today I tried something different, the Blue Prawns, OMG, those were sooooo good!! Dessert was the Chocolate Kyla pie AND Mama’s was so sweet and they brought us something sweet for our 25th wedding anniversary, that was way yummy, too!! We come here every time we come to Maui, this trip was special because we got to come here twice this visit!!

Come here for the whole package. The service is excellent, a well-oiled machine. The atmosphere cannot be beat, come a little early to explore the property and take in the aloha! Read about their story and how Mama’s came to be, make sure you order one of their amazing cocktails and drink your water! Food was excellent, no doubt…my mahi mahi was an 8/10 only because it felt a little overdone? The flavours made up for it and everyone else’s meals were divine! Don’t think about coming here just for the food….come to have an experience you’ll cherish!

Mama’s Fish House did not disappoint. Our meal was so delicious, each course thoughtfully cooked and seasoned. It was our first time there but by no means our last. It isn’t inexpensive, but they deliver on everything they serve. My husband loves fish, and I’m not so fond of it. The short ribs I ordered were probably the best beef I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The setting was also beautiful and romantic.

As always, Mama’s delights! From the minute you walk from the parking lot onto the beautiful grounds, you feel the relaxing vibes of old Hawaii. The food - from the appetizers to entrees to dessert were excellent- well presented and with wonderful and creative island flavors. Great cocktails and wine list as well. The service and setting were professional and on point. Can’t wait to go back

Our experience was so GREAT that we went twice in 8 days! From the hostesses to the bartenders to the wait staff and food runners, every single person was excellent! Mary was our waitress the 1st time & was outstanding, and attentive to our needs. Present, happy & responsible for our wanting to return. Kahea was our waitress last night & was amazing! Sarah the manager came over to chat with us & was extremely personable. Definitely a go to if you are in Kauai! The best restaurant on the island. Also, you can’t get a better view…..breathtaking!

Have been there several times before. Service and ambiance have gone downhill while the price has gone up. The management should give this a close review. Unfortunately the place was packed and one must book month's in advance so they probably think there is nothing wrong.

Worth it! The food was so delicious- get the Hawaiian Kanpachi with lobster and crab! It is delectable and every bite perfect. Table shared crab cakes and arugula strawberry salad, and crème brûlee. Even with months-ahead reservations you may wait a bit.

First time experience and it was amazing excellent customer service from valet to hostess and from there it got even better with the dining staff. Our waiter was Dominic, he was fantastic explained the menu offered suggestions and took the time to talk to us between his other tables. We celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary and we are already booking for next year. The grounds was like a tropical island. Mahalo, Michael & T

Very difficult to make reservations. A resident of Maui, made reservations 1 year in advance. Waited 20 minutes to be seated. Very expensive and totally over rated.

The view is SO beautiful! The food and service are always top notch. And it is nice every once in a while to take a weekday lunch that lasts 2 hours!!! It sure would be nice if there were a kama'aina discount.

I frequent Mama's at least 3 times a month. I always order the curry, at $78 a meal. It usually comes with rice but I've always request mashed potatoes (very small scoop) with no problem any other time. This last time I was charged $4.50. WTH? Not making enough so now charging whatever extras to make up for loss revenue over less tourists because of fire? Shame.

As always the food was great, but I think as expensive as this restaurant is there is no need to charge a 2% kitchen staff gratuity. Next time I will only tip 18% instead of 20%.

Our food and service was above and beyond the wonderful experience that we always expect at Mama's! This is our favorite restaurant on the Island. We celebrated our 30th Anniversary as well as any special occasions. Highly recommended!!

A lot a restaurants that have amazing views feel they don’t have to knock themselves out in the kitchen or, even, with front of house service. Mama’s Fish House does NOT feel this way. From the minute you hit the property you know you’re being as well taken care of as you’ve ever been. Complimentary valet parking, first check in, lovely beach patch through the palms to second check in, and finally at your table, you’re constantly welcomed and put at ease. And that’s before a single sip or bite. THEN the drinks and food start coming and each and every one is superlative. Worth. Every. Penny. Atmosphere. Views. Service. Cocktails. Food. All simply out of this world.
