Mama Ricotta's Ratings and Reviews
We waited until Saturday to have our annual Valentine's Day dinner at Mama Ricotta's. As always, the food was delicious. We sat out on the covered patio and it was so nice! The fire was going and it made for a romantic dinner. Our server Paige was wonderful!!
This was a return trip to Mama Ricotta's to celebrate Valentine's. Great choice! We're more interested in great food that white linen and candlelight. Mama's doesn't disappoint. We split the calamari, Rhode Island style. It was garlicky and spicy and not boring. Both of us had been craving lasagne so that followed half portions of Cesar salad. The Cesar isn't on the menu but just ask. We finished with the berry cheesecake special. Ridiculously good. Our waiter, Chris, was terrific. He gave great suggestions, was attentive and a pleasure. All around great night out. The lasagne is leftovers!
The food was fantastic. Many choices to choose from. Our service was a little lacking in that we requested extra bread and it was never brought. Had to ask twice for extra tomato sauce. With that being said, I will definitely return in the future and would recommend to friends
Mama Ricotta had a table ready for our family dinner at the promised time. They even changed us from booth to a table considering that it would be difficult for my Mom to get in to the booth.
Server "Anthony" provided excellent service. Drinks and food came out very quickly. Food was amazing as always at Mama Ricotta's. This was the first time my dad finished his entire serving!
We'll be back there soon!
The decor is very nice--big tables, pretty surroundings, not too loud. The food however, is not. We had hot bread rolls, but since the table was not set up when we sat down, we couldn't eat that--or our salad--for a few minutes afterwards, as that is how long it took for someone to finally come and give us place settings. They were really busy so that was part of the slow service. The Tuscan salad had too much dressing and was too chopped up, like they put it through a processor. The pasta primavera was terrible--really heavy sauce in angel hair that got mushy from the load. My husband's ravioli was OK, but the sauce again was too heavy and the pasta tasted like it was store bought. Wine was OK. Did not have dessert, options all sounded too heavy. Maybe their other menu items are better, we will see.
We went 6pm for 4 course meal on restaurant week with a group of 6. Server did her best as it was very loud and very busy already. Food was just ok. Really nothing great and very average. Salmon with cold mashed potatoes. Felt bad for server so didn't send back cold potatoes or veggies. Flank steak had no flavor. Chicken parm was good but not hot either. Obviously the kitchen just can't handle it. Chocolate cake was the saving grace. No cappacinos which is weird for an Italian restaurant. They had a coffee pod maker only she said. Oh well we tried it...
It was “restaurant week” that we unwittingly entered. We had a reservation but it took about 10 minutes to seat us. No real problem except that it took over 20 minutes for a wait person to help us and we had to ask the front desk to make it happen.
Once we were assigned a server, everything was great. Service from that point was great, food delicious and atmosphere had slowed down to small roar.
We have love dMama Ricotta’s for years and will continue to go.
Simply great. I had an amazing time. I chose this place for my bestfriends birthday dinner and we sat outside near the fireplace which was very cozy. Our waitress Bre was vibrant and resourceful. Food was also pretty great! Definitely recommend to a friend.
Lasagna pasta did not taste like fresh pasta. The calamari was very good, a new version I have never tried before with peppers.
The waiter was nothing special, he got to us when he could, out of water and wine for a few minutes, but he eventually took care of it.
We will be back, but probably won’t have the Lasagna again.
Both the meal and the service was well above average. The appetizers were excellent. Most importantly the price was extremely reasonable. I ordered two appetizers and two meals and when I looked at the check I was shocked at home much I was charged. VERY reasonable prices.
This restaurant never disappoints. Just a lovely dining experience all the way around.
They truly go out of their way to accommodate a table preference. The women at the hostess station are wonderful. Really like Corey.
The food is delicious no matter what you order. What will keep you coming back is the overall atmosphere.
The people that work here are a good team.
