Server was rude and food was horribly bad.
I had lasagna and it tasted like Chef Boyardee!
Great Italian comfort food.
Always a good dining experience at Mama Louisa's. Great service and excellent food!
First time at this location and will be the last. Poor food quality. Gnocchi dish was not worth even a one star rating. The staff noticed we were not eating it and graciously took it off the tab even though we did not ask.
Very loud depending on which room are settled in.
For Italian food this wasn’t bad, would of wanted a better selection of appetizers and maybe priced more reasonable.
The food was excellent. Some unique Italian which is nice. Definitely our new go to Italian place.
The food is just not very good.
Amazing food, amazing interior, amazing service! Really appreciate their food to take me happiness and healings. I experienced a terrible day but once I tried their food. I definitely feel better and fully recovered from the bad memories. I would like to come back this restaurant again in the future if I come to Tucson! ❤️
Highly recommend try their DESSERTS 🍮! Pretty authentic and delicious ! Tiramisu and strawberry cheesecake. 🍰
Amazing homemade food that we love to experience again and again.
A great longtime place to indulge in tasty comfort food and good service.
We had a wonderful experience at Mama Louisa’s this week. Post pandemic my friend and I are slowly getting back to eating in restaurants. Service was attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious as always! So happy to be returning to the dining scene!
The employee wiped our table with her hand and they seat us next to another couple when there were many opened tables away from other people
My family always enjoys Mama Louisa's. This time, there was a large very noisy group in the same room as we were which took a lot away from the enjoyment but the food and service were excellent. I love their lasagna and the portions is large enough to take some home to have another meal. Our waitress did a great job though was very busy. Some of my family love the Joe's Special. They have gluten free pasta which is great for one of us. The bread sticks are good as swell. It's a casual place that has been here for many years and one that is comfortable to return to.
Not good Italian food. Not good ambiance. Will not ever go here again.
Wonderful and relaxing experience. The people and food were excellent.
The best Italian food in Tucson
casual dining, but excellent food and service!even the salad plate was cold!
Worst food I’ve ever had. Frozen food cooked in the microwave with way too much salt.
Old fashioned Italian food. Excellent service. Generous portions
Nice meal, pasta delicious. Bread sticks and bread superior. Waitress polite, accommodating and attentive. Overall, very nice dinner experience.
Fabulous service and food!
Very few Italian restaurants served ravioli which is my “go to” meal when one does have them on the menu. Yum!
Service was terrific by our solo waitress. However, the taste and quality of the food was just average. We had the zucchini appetizer, free breadsticks, pesto pasta, chicken parmigiana, and manicotti
Had not been in awhile we forgot how good the food is!!
It was quiet and the food was great.
Restaurant had a smell of mildew. Kitchen was out of the two items we wanted. The menu is not the same as the website photos.
Great experience! Great service and great food! Will come again! Thanks!
Had a wonderful dinner at Mama Louisa's with some family friends while passing through Tucson last week.
If a restaurant has been around for ~65 years it's safe to assume that it knows what it is doing. Mama's knows what it is doing.
Delicious food served in large portions for a very reasonable price. What's not to like!?!
I ordered their signature dish- Joe's Special and it was fantastic. Homemade linguini, tomato sauce, pepper flakes, cheese, and a white sauce that blended together for a terrific flavor.
Some of the best Italian food I’ve eaten and I spent years traveling to New York
Overall everything was awesome. Oh boy was the lasagna and Joe's special pepper sauce is the best. My only gripe is our waitress was sub-par. Felt like we were being rushed. Brought our check without asking if we wanted dessert. I NEVER forget the cannolis...... so we made her get the cannoli....
We had a wonderful time along with great food and warm service
Out of wedding soup disappointed
Drinks were AWFUL! Ordered a Margarita, with call brand tequila, on the rock. Sent the first one back - it was loaded with simple syrup and NO LIME! Got a second one at no charge ! Same problem
Had a desire for some Italian food and read good things about Momas. I had the Joes special and it was excellent. Old school Italian restaurant. We will be back!
The red sauce used in the dishes was very nice. The food was not bland, but nothing special.
We have been driving over 150 miles round trip to enjoy Mama Luisa's great food and service for over 30 years. It is our absolute favorite Italian restaurant. We are very happy that the restaurant has weathered the COVID pandemic.
We are traveling and love to eat at local places. This was a gem. We are a late lunch and so the lunch rush had dispersed. We had spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna and caprese sandwich. We all had left overs for a meal at the hotel. The food was awesome and very reasonably priced. Service was very good.
Well, sometimes you can't believe the Open Table reviews! We chose Mama Louisa's Italian Restaurant based on the Open Table reviews, which we usually find very reliable. First I must say the waitress was very nice and provided good service!
This was the worst meal we have ever had in frequent visits to Tucson from out of state. The coating fell of the calimari as we scooped them up on to our plates and they were quite chewy. The bread was not the crusty Italian bread we were expecting. My husband thought his chicken piccata was tasty, but he could not eat the pasta which was extremely salty! My chicken Marsala was awful! There were only a couple of very thinly sliced mushroom pieces and the sauce was very thick and bland. It reminded me of a gravy one would put on a salisbury steak, not a light sauce where one can taste the Marsala wine. If you are looking for authentic Italian food, I do not recommend this restaurant! I should know, I'm Italian!
We enjoyed our dinner at M.L. Waiter was personable / likable, but not very communicative. Loved the flavored lemonades, and the food was quite good.
