We love the wait staff, host, food, everything! Such a great place to go for Italian! We will be back next year!
We decided to go to Mama Della’s for our anniversary dinner this year, as we’ve often heard it’s really good. We were not disappointed. The food was absolutely amazing and cooked perfectly. They have roving musician’s to add to the ambience and the singers have the voices of angels. I would highly recommend Mama Della’s for a special dinner out, and I can’t wait to return.
Great experience! Would definitely return. Food, service and ambiance was amazing. 100% recommend for date night or family dinner.
Food was excellent. Entertainment was fantastic. Got the honor of meeting Mana Della who has been in business for 20 years. Great example of person to celebrate for International Women’s Day. Always eat here when we are at Universal.
Good food, good atmosphere bring your wallet. You get what you pay for.
Great Food and atmosphere. Will go back next trip.
We had a very special dinner, our twins turned 5, all the staff was very attentive, food so good. Great experience
We eat at Mama Della’s every time we are in Orlando, as it is the best Italian restaurant anywhere. The exceptional live music is the icing on the cake.
Great Food! Great Service! Went to Orlando for a short weekend getaway. Found some reviews about Mama's so we made reservation and went. What a great surprise. Had the Calamari - outstanding. Was torn between Bolognese and Short Ribs. The manager Carl gave me a sample of the bolognese and I was sold on it. I had it with homemade pappardelle and it was outstanding. It has chunks of shortrib in it as well - 2 for 1. My wife had the homemade Lobster Ravioli and it too was great! I would definitely go back and recommend this restaurant. We had Calvin as our waiter and he was excellent. Not pushy and let us enjoy our meals.
We even met Mama!!!
Thanks for a great meal!!
This was really a memorable dining experience. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic. The waiter was very helpful and very friendly and did a great job. I highly recommend Mama Della's.
Great spot, this is our forth time and we have gone every time when we have stayed at Universal Orlando. The Best Atmosphere!! A must do!
This was our first time here, I am an UOP annual but seldom go to the hotels, it was OK my wife did not like the ravioli and it was not fresh and a little chewy, my lasagna was good but nothing special, we liked the music
Had a great experience! It was a magical experience that was enjoyable
Our third time to dine here. Is always A+.
Food quality outstanding! Our waiter was exceptional. We also enjoyed the table side music very much. Mama also was super sweet! Will definitely be going to that restaurant again when staying at the Portofino
Great as always.
Everything over the top. The tenors were also very good
We are Annual Passholders and visit Universal 5-6 times/year, mosty staying at Loewes Portofino hotel. Until now we have not been able to secure a reservation at Mamma Dellas until this visit because I made the reservation a week in advance for our family of five. Upon arrival, we didn’t have to wait long until we were seated at our extremely uncomfortable and very cramped table. It was obvious they sat us at a table for 4 and just added a seat at the end to make it 5 seats, but the space was inadequate. At one point, I had to eat my appetizer on my lap as there was simply NOT enough room for drinks, bread, oil and butter and appetizers. A bit stressful for a mother who is trying to relax and unwind at dinner, I was focused on the puzzle making of where all the plates and drinks could go. Add to this the most uncomfortable rickety old wooden chairs which may have added to the historical old italian theme, but they hurt to sit in. The meal itself was very good, so kudos to the chefs. Our family enjoyed the salmon and shrimp dish, lobster ravioli, the lasagna, the chicken carbonara and a pizza. The pizza, chicken carbonara and salmon dish were all excellent. The lobster ravioli was okay, with ravioli a bit hard as if it were reheated too much and the gravy was well it was like gravy and not so much like sauce. The calamari as an appetizer was outstanding and plentiful. There is a lovely lady singer and an accompanying guitar musician whom stop at each table to sing a song. She was wonderful, and we felt compelled to tip her so we did ($10). All and all, it wasn’t great enough that I would recommend this place to others, but it is a good place to try out.
The Food was basic italian, Nothing great. we split the antipasto which was the best part of the meal. I had the mussels in which were heavily -over seasoned with the pesto. my husband had the seafood saltimbocca which was just ok. Remember its universal studios and your a captive guest Don't expect the same great food or service you would get from your local eateries.
Food and service excellent!
Mama Della’s is hit or miss. We enjoyed it on a prior visit, but tonight the carbonara sauce in the chicken carbonara was like glue and the pancetta was notably missing. I’ve had good carbonara in Italy and the average version we usually get in the US. This was just bad. So was the Caesar salad, which was tasteless and not fresh. On the other hand, my daughter loved her spaghetti and meatballs. Given the high prices, the food should have been far better.
Amazing as always! A must do if you are at Universal!!
Great place to bring ghe family or just your special someone. Will be coming back soon.
