good ambiance; good food; great service; high priced. Great for a special occasion.
Was in town visiting my daughter and decided to have a bite to eat at Malios on my own. Had always gone with others. Sat at the beautiful bar and was served by Nick one of the most fabulous bartenders I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Food was a 10. Wine that Nick recommended was a 10. The whole vibe in the bar area was great. Polished and high end without being stiff. LOVE!
Not worth the money. We had NY strip, sea bass, Caesar salad, and smoked Gouda mac and cheese. The steak lacked flavor and was not very tender. The Caesar salad had very little dressing, and the Mac and cheese (which we were really looking forward to) was pasta with a watery cheese sauce. Would have been better off eating at Ruth’s Chris for this price.
Great service, even better food, and lovely table & view. It was a tad bit too cold for me in the restaurant!
The menu had great options and the meal was fantastic. Everyone ordered filets and they arrived at the perfect amount of doneness that was requested. Waiter was personable, knowledgeable, and kept a good pace.
Only problem was noise level. Difficult to maintain a serious conversation around the table without speaking loudly.
Malio’s Is always a good alternative when looking for a great steak or Italian specialties. The service is prompt but not invasive. Ribeye was cooked perfectly. Blue crab pasta was awesome. Try the lobster escargot for a great appetizer.
Always great food and service. Great place, especially before a show at the Straz.
Malio's was very good. The decor was very elegant and well kept. The wait staff was very polite and generally very attentive, but we were handed off a couple of times throughout he evening and really didn't understand who the lead waiter was. The BIGGEST downfall is the UNNECESSARY kitchen noise. We were sitting nearest the hostest stand and the noise coming from the kitchen non-stop was deafening. Dishes were clearly being stacked and cleaned along with silverwear. A simple door or curtail between that area and the patrons would make a HUGE difference. This was a Saturday night at about 8pm. It wasn't like it was closing time. Again, the food was fantastic and we tried items from all over the menu. Quiet the place down and it would be a real gem.
It was pricey and tbe food was not as spectacular as I expected.
