Makoto Ratings and Reviews
Excellent! Everything about this place is great. I drive 45 minutes almost every week to enjoy lunch here on the weekend. I only had one bad service experience in about 50 times dining there and the manager made sure to make everything right after this happened. Absolutely love it and everyone should try it. Excellent food and not extremely overpriced. 5 stars
Quite simply, it was the best meal any one of the five of us had ever eaten. The food was spectacular and the service was wonderful. From the mouth watering small plates (tuna pizza, dumplings) through the dessert, everything was visually stimulating and delicious. The flavors were unique, even for the basics like miso soup.
General comment, not specific to this restaurant, I would love to see more slave-free/ fair trade chocolate options.
Dinner for 2 was thoroughly enjoyable. The reservation was respected, the service was friendly, attentive and professional and ultimately, the food was excellent. The one drawback was that the food came out so quickly that dinner was over too quickly. The pace could have been a little slower. As
tourists, Makota is on the list at each visit. Thank you!
A beautiful South Florida day at a lovely location. The crab salad was excellent but service was only fair. Not too busy, we had to ask for a server about ten minutes after being seated. And, service remained pretty mediocre during our lunch. Servers seems busier socializing with each other than attending to guests. This once outstanding restaurant has slipped over time.
A little bit of confusion seating us, slight bit of arrogance between the maître but the manager had it covered, hence the loss of a star rating. Server was excellent food just as good. So other than the maître being unhelpful (and more from being busy and a little disorganised rather than flat out rudeness), it’s 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
