   The food and drinks were amazing. We sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited for our table reservation. But when we got sat at our table we never got waited on, I had to go back to the bar 40 min later to get a server.

   One of my favorite places to get sushi! Customer service is always very good and the staff is very kind. Sometimes it takes a while to get our food but it’s worth the wait 100%.

   Was really excited to come here because I heard it was great and we love sushi! However, the dining room was awkwardly quiet. The cocktails were watered down, we didn’t even drink them. It took over an hour to get an appetizer and 3 sushi rolls. And the food was very mediocre. The menu looked great because they had tons of specialty rolls to choose from but we were not wowed. Unfortunately will not return :(

   Food is good - but the last 3 times I've ordered food here the wait is exceptionally longer than stated. By hours. The service is minimal bordering on rude. I don't understand how they have so few tables and service is so poor, including the bartender.

    Our server was kind and polite. The food was fine, the prices were fine, the atmosphere was fine. Although we are not from here, I was expecting more. Considering the reviews from yelp, but it was just fine. Not great, not bad, just fine.

    Maki is my absolute favorite restaurant to go for sushi. I have been coming to maki for over 10 years & I’m always impressed at how delicious & fresh everything always is there. Best sushi ever

    Our first time at Maki and definitely won’t be our last. The sushi was great and the plates were beautifully presented. The salad and miso soup were good, too. We also had dessert which we don’t usually have at a Japanese restaurant. Delicious lava cake and ice cream. We’ll be back!

    Food was delicious, as usual. Overall experience was not great. One glass of wine took an excessively long time to get to the table, the one bartender was not efficient in making drinks it seemed. We waited for (2) sushi rolls for almost 40 minutes after ordering. Restaurant clearly short staffed and having kitchen issues/miscommunication, maybe. Server was sweet, not very attentive but the issues were not her fault, we left a great tip regardless. We were in no rush and patient, other folks may not have been as pleasant in the same circumstance.

    Maki is always great, they’re short staffed so the wait time was very long for drinks food etc. that is something that can’t be controlled though unfortunately but maki is excellent

    By far THE BEST sushi in Peabody! We love going to Maki whenever we get a craving. They always have a maki on special that is ALWAYS worth the try. But you can’t go wrong with the usual menu maki either. The Mexican roll and volcano roll are always a must!

    We split edamame, and enjoyed miso soup and 2 rolls a piece. The edamame was delicious - perfect texture and salt. The miso was a little bland, but fine. We both savored our rolls. So many options on the menu and so hard to choose. I asked for one of my rolls with "light on the spicy mayo" and it was served exactly as requested. Our waitress was very attentive, and we enjoyed our evening out. The renovations/expansion are truly remarkable, although the tiles to the bathrooms are very slippery.

    My husband and I love Maki! We love the miso soup, garden salad with ginger dressing (so good!), and sushi rolls. I personally love the sweet potato and large vegetable sushi rolls. The green tea also has a great flavor. When we're in the area, we always stop for dinner. Highly recommended!

    The wait for food was too long. They had a lot of people milling around, but everything took too long. We ordered a couple of apps to start and some sushi, and one of our party of 5 had not chop sticks. the Server said he would bring them right over. After at least 10 minutes, they still never appeared and my wife went up and grabbed some off the bar. They must have been prioritizing the take out orders over the dine in people. After 2 hours, I cancelled the second round of sushi. I will never go back!

    The food was good, selections were ok. Most of their rolls are a take on similar rolls seen at other sushi places. If you’re into sake- you’ll be disappointed, as there isn’t much of a selection. The other drink selections were ok as well, nothing special. The service was poor, I understand most places are under staffed, but the communication was poor as well in terms of any delays. We waited around for a long time for our food, which impacted our overall experience.

    Drinks too a very long time to come out, restaurant was not even full. Sushi took over an hour to come out. Waitress had entered some of our order incorrectly and did not communicate food allergies to the sushi chefs correctly. We ordered 2 orders of Eel Dragon Roll and 2 orders of spicy tuna. We asked for 1 of each type to be with crunchy Panko and the rest without - to accommodate a gluten allergy. None of the food came out with Panko and instead of tuna we got salmon. Waitress made it seem like it was too difficult or annoying to ask the chefs to make the food as ordered. Rolls were much smaller than expected so there wasn’t enough food for everyone. The bill was almost $100 and we left hungry.

    This is a great place for sushi. They have some very creative original rolls as well as standard classics. The firecracker and the blizzard are sure fire go to’s. The tempura Oreos are to die for so be sure to save room.
