"We are two food and wine loving French New Yorkers who are bringing an exciting restaurant to Harlem, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the borough."
What Insiders Are Saying
Maison Harlem is a casual French place that’s one of Harlem’s best neighborhood hangs.
Wonderful Sunday night at Maison. The food, the music and the wine were only outmatched by the impeccable service . This is why I became a regular !
Very very good salad classic French fun atmostphere charming lively
The food and drinks were both delicious. They also have a happy hour which is a great value. The service was great.
Went for V-Day with my SO. Food was overpriced. Lobster Bisque tasted like someone had taken a bowl of gruel and added lobster flavoring. Lardon salad was good. The cassoulet was underwhelming, as the meats were almost indistinguishable within a heavy helping of white beans. Lack of depth in flavor profile. SO’s seafood pasta was fine, but featured a really overwhelming bland cream taste. Service was good. Atmosphere was frenetic—intimate seating, loud music, and peculiar decor. Bathrooms left something to be desired. Really underwhelming and overpriced. Will avoid in the future.
Absolutely delicious food, impeccable service, in a sunny space with fun album-record menus. Our server Raul was a delight: thoughtful, attentive, friendly, charming and effective. They adjusted the music volume for us, accommodated our group of 8, and nobody was ever waiting for drinks. Such a great restaurant. Highly recommend. Everyone licked their plates clean - seriously - there was no food left at all.
Super fun! Delicious food!
A great and different experience. The ambience was very nice and the staff was very helpful
Been eating here for years. Excellent as always. The key is that it's traditional French bistro fare, le cuisine grand mere, "grandma-cooking", and it's authentic. No attempt to interpret, update or otherwise change the offerings. And perfect execution. A jewel
Great local Harlem place. Well done French bistro cuisine. Boisterous lively. atmosphere with great energy. I look forward to going back.
This restaurant is one of my favorite in the city, but when I went to cancel a reservation last week Open Table's site had crashed...this is not the first time...very annoying
Very speedy service on the food. Server was nice and polite. Overall good experience
Not easy to serve a group of 12 but our service was more than up to the challenge. The food was good too. The music was a bonus. We were at the Apollo Theater and this was the perfect place to dine after the show
Great place excellent vibe staff the best
We were a group of 6 celebrating Mom & Dad’s birthdays-we each enjoyed our food very much. The escargot & oysters were excellent! Our server was very attentive. We will come again.

Lovely, quaint place, steps from the subway, great customer service and delicious burgers. Especially loved the singer Leah (Go on Sundays "Live with Leah") and her musicians. She is a breath of fresh air with a beautiful voice, smile and energy. It's impossible not to enjoy yourself here!
Such a nice place, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and an inviting menu.
We ordered burgers and the fish special; all were outstanding. Great fries. A relaxed, comfortable dinner for a moderate price. Loved it.
As usual it’s one of the best casual comfortable place to eat weather alone or a group it’s great.
Awesome best in neighb!
Maison is my go to restaurant when I crave good French cuisine .0
The food was delicious and well-priced but make sure that you're not starving when you go because the kitchen is SLOW. In addition, our waiter showed attitude when I called him to take our order: he said "I have other tables" and walked away.
Other than that, a great experience. I will go again (but will sit at a different table!).
The food was excellent as usual. However, the service was a little off. It took over an hour for our appetizers to come out.
Cute cozy restaurant in Harlem. The carbonara and mussels were amazingly good!
We love this restaurant...authentic French food, big portions and a wonderful atmosphere!
Best couscous royale I’ve ever had. Better than all the top spots for couscous in Paris.
Great vibe, good food, friendly service; really fun night.
A little loud.
Fun restaurant! Great food and great music. Excellent
Very special place, great food, and good times!!
A Harlem staple. Love it there. Breakfast/Brunch never disappoints, drinks are awesome, very nice portions of food and great hospitality.
Great food and service has been consistent since inception. Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Great energy and terrific quality food and vino at reasonable prices. We’ll come back again!
Loved the restaurant...food was delicious! Three of us ordered the day's specials and one ordered from the regular menu. Very nice size portions and everything was cooked perfectly!
Energetic late night experience. The music was jamming. I definitely will return. Service was timely. Server was friendly. Hostess was ready to find me a great seat when I walked in.
Really enjoyed the poulet ratatouille. And great location near Apollo Theater
Delicious food, friendly service, excellent bloody mary. Warm, shabby chic environment.
Nice work meal with colleagues. Everyone was satisfied with their entrees. We shared the calamari, foie gras and kale salad. All three were great. The foie gras was EXCELLENT.
Next time I will sit at the bar with my wife and order the Happy Hr oysters, foie gras and a drink.
Noisy but not too noisy. We could still easily converse as a party of 6.
Our reservation was honored on time, as usual.
I came here once again - likely my 10th or 12th visit - this time with out of town friends and family.
Everything is really always completely on-point. Mussels were perfect; broth and bread just irresistible; french fries just perfect. The seafood risotto was the star of the visit with a generous amount of seafood and truffle! Homemade sausage was exceptional and the standard burger was way above standard.
One person was a vegan and had no problems with the menu. Another was a carnivore and also had no problem with the menu. Another doing Paleo and also no problem with the menu.
The staff is completely accommodating, friendly, natural and attentive.
Even the kid's menu item was prepared in an 'adult' way.
It is always refreshing to come here as it is a never miss kind of experience. Everyone I bring here is always surprised at the quality of food and care and expertise in preparation.
I would say that the ventilation system needs to be improved as I always find it a bit too warm in the restaurant - winter or summer!
The noise level is a bit too high but not terrible - some additional attention to the acoustics would be nice.
But I do have to think to find things I don't like about Maison Harlem.
Bar scene is almost completely different vibe but separated from the dining room by a few steps.
