"We are two food and wine loving French New Yorkers who are bringing an exciting restaurant to Harlem, one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the borough."
Good food and drinks. Very casual. The leg duck was great.
Great Place to go and have either a quick bite or a full meal. Super friendly staff.
Will be coming back again.
Great place. Great food. Great service. One of the best places in Harlem.
Excellent as usual. I had the a generous portion of the Daurade with asparagus and potatoes, and my husband tried the Merguez with French fries for the first time. No live music on that particular evening, but I often enjoy it when I pass by the restaurant leaving work. We ate outside in one their sheds, so safe and quiet, thank you.
Have been many times with good results, but on Labor Day the kitchen and service were exceptionally slow, though the restaurant wasn’t crowded. Our waiter did did his best to compensate (took appetizers off the bill) , but it still was a BAD EXPERIENCE!
Tonight was a lazy night . I myself am a chef which leaves me
Super picky at times but i didn’t feel like cooking dinner . This place i walk past on a daily but have never actually went inside . I am so happy i did . I tried shrimp cocktail for the first time and it was delicious. I ordered the grilled ny steak and it was delicious, that garlic butter was perfect !! The fries Perfect and the truffle Mac and cheese is to die for !! I don’t remember my servers name but he had a strong French accent . His service was exceptional!! So polite and kind and made sure my friend and i were accommodated!! I will definitely be back for more .
We have loved this place for years, but something has gone wrong recently and we hope they can figure it out. The past few times we have waited and waited… for everything. And when it arrives, it’s wrong. Apologies and excuses. A mess.
Maison was great. The food drinks and service were all amazing. I had the mussels- so tasty!
Inside Maison Harlem was noisy, so we ate outside. Service was slower than I have experienced in the past.
Brilliant food and service, as always.
The food was amazing. Drinks were top notch. Overall great experience. Will come back to dine for sure!
Consistently great food. Had the mussels and they always have the best shoe string fries.
Great food, service, and a lovely brunch spot
Catching up with old friends
Lovely place with terrific food. Soup, escargot, mussels and coq au vin all on point. Worth the trip to Harlem.
I always love the Fried Oysters at this restaurant and last night was no exception. Everything was great. Look forward to going again.
Wonderful vibe, great staff, great food, excellent people watching. Can’t do much better than this spot.
The food was good, the service friendly and excellent. We were seated outside as requested but subjected to a very loud group of people. Also a rat!
Came to visit . Very unsettling and not the fault of the restaurant.
Very good food and nice environment! Service a little slow but was ok.
If you're looking for a quiet place, check first to see if they'll have live music. As enjoyable as both the meal and music were, the room was just a little too loud for catching up with an old friend.
Lovely atmosphere, delicious food. Server Gabriella was outstanding- friendly, knowledgeable and capable.
Delicious food as always! This is my go-to spot for top of the line French dishes.
Great ambiance, music, food and service in the heart of Harlem
This could have been a great meal, but the waiter did not serve our food until we had waited over 45 minutes. When it came, it was obvious that the food was ready a long time previously and had sat under a heat lamp for too long. The duck was dry, the fish was dry, and only the stews (coq au vin and mussels) were still quite good. Everything would have been excellent if the waiter had brought us our food as soon as it was ready.
Love the restaurant but service was slow unfortunately. Love the waiters and food.
Good date night. Will return.
Food was amazing, ambience awesome and service great. Disappointed that they ran out of fois gras but we loved this place. No pretensions / who would have expected a down to earth/modern vibe French restaurant in Harlem. Great job - cannot wait to visit again!
We just stopped in for brunch, everything was fine. Bloodys were strong and tasty, dishes were better than average, coffee was good. The day was warm, so all the windows/doors were open, and the main room was comfortable.
It was a quick meal, so not much else to say. Service was efficient and polite.
One small thing: Open Table said there was no outdoor dining, but there was, there were two street sheds, only one of which was in use.
It was ok. Novice server. 20 minutes wait for lemon slices. Flies everywhere. Food tasty.
The wait staff needs to learn how to properly coarse their service....NOT bring EVERYTHING out at once....would help if waiters, no busboys, were doing table service. That being said, the food was very good...,,
Always consistent, always delicious, a neighborhood gem!
Music was too loud!
We had an excellent experience. The food was excellent and the menu varied and interesting. The service was excellent and well worth an extra tip. We also enjoyed the live music. We would not hesitate to return again.
I like their food, which is really delicious. The service was perfect. The price is in accord with the cuisine. I asked to lower down the level of music sound, they did without any problem. I was sitting right under the speaker. But the music is always great.
We had a wonderful brunch. Service was great (slow a few times but overall great). Our food was delicious. We came back in the evening for drinks, too.
Restaurant is extremely disheveled and dusty. Random brooms and mops were strewn about in the outdoor dining space. Would definitely benefit from a thorough deep cleaning. Overall, the uncleanliness of the establishment took away from what could have been a more positive dining experience.
It was my last dinner there before my move west. I invited a friend uptown to have dinner and it was the worst experience. They were extremely short staff but kept seating tables. It took 30 minutes before someone came to our table to greet us. It took an hour for our food. We were there for 2.5 hours and only engaged with our server 4 times. How awful? The server kept apologizing but didn't change anything. An apology with no action means NOTHING. Our food came out and it wasn't cooked properly. The steak was well-done versus medium-rare as ordered. The server kept saying, I wish I could do something. He never suggested taking off an appetizer or anything or the fact that we didn't eat the steak because it was well.
My seafood risotto was good per usual. But the experience....
It was just a mess. I wish them well — but they do not have to worry about me dining there again.
I had a great experience and truly enjoyed the drinks and fresh seafood !
My experience was ok, we waited a lot for service and our service was just ok. Nothing special. I actually expected better service than what we received. Other than it was pretty much ok.
The temperature dictated your food choice. They left the doors open so it was cold enough for me to keep my jacket on, and I ended up ordering soup just to keep warm. The chef doesn't know how to cook meat anyway but we'll done
Both steaks and sliders were cooked well done even though we asked for medium and medium rare.
Bench was uncomfortable. Food ok, waitress really nice and always available.
