Excellent fra Diavalo sauce, great burger, gave us plenty of time with friends. Always fun.
Food outstanding. Veal melted in my mouth. Made a substitution because of lactose intolerance graciously with a lovely alternative. Excellent service. Not too noisy for conversation even full up
Really nice restaurant. Good food , nice ambiance, friendly atmosphere.
We always enjoy Madison Carlos! Great food, great service in a cozy and comfortable setting. Highly recommended!
Went with a large group on NYE ... Accommodating staff and excellent food
Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere!
As always we had a great time with friends, a great meal, and the owner Carlos has become a friend
It's a good restaurant, although I dont believe that some of the dishes are worth the money. Some dishes were just mediocre, granted that I haven't tried them all. I took a 50 min drive to get there and I could've found a better choice for dinner on the way there. The ambiance is beautiful and it seems like a nice place for late night conversation.
We had our Christmas Eve family dinner here and it was EXCELLENT! The service is friendly and food was marvelous. It is the beat neighborhood restaurant, loved it!
Five of us dined at Maison Carlos on Dec 21. We were generally disappointed in the food. The zuchini chips came out hot when we first arrived, but they tasted like they had been reheated and weren't fresh. We ordered another order, and the second order was not fresh and not hot. Two people ordered the arugula salad and had to send it back because the dressing had too much lemon. I ordered the veal special which was a cutlet prepared with a pancetta sauce and blue cheese. It wasn't good. The sauce was barely noticable, but the blue cheese overpowered the dish. My husband's duck breast had too much gristle. I have always made a point of dining at Maison Carlos when we visit in December, but I will not go there in the future. They have lost touch with providing quality food.
Excellent service and the food measured up to the price. The portions were smaller than the usually huge
sizes served at other restaurants. Definitely no doggie bags.
We had a lovely meal and really enjoyed Maison Carlos. We will be back again!
As always food and service were very good. Carlos was his hospitable self. Veal, fish and pork entrees were well prepared and were reasonably sized portions. Nice to see the restaurant full. Previous couple of visits, attendance was sparse. Don’t know why? Possibly location and lack of public knowledge. Would recommend this spot for food and ambiance.
I love this place! Awesome food and even better service! The owner, Carlos, is one of the kindest gentlemen that I have ever met and is interested in the experience of every single customer! Literally lives up to the name, Carlos’ House! Wonderful place for a date night or a special get together with friends, you will NOT be disappointed!
Like alot great for a quiet evening. Service so pleasant
pleasant evening with wonderful prosecco and flexibilityin the kitchen- they were able to do the risotto the way i specially asked at the last minute. Carlos is most pleasant and service is OK but they needed to be waved down several times to attend to corrections and completions such as cheese on pasta. Good time was had by all.
This restaurant is always welcoming. Love the pictures on the wall and the owner is always there with a welcoming smile. Vegetables are really cooked well here and the menu while standard always has a few great surprises.
Everything was great and we could actually talk!
It goes without say that I love Carlos and his team at the restaurant. I love bringing friends when I need a quiet night. The team is entertaining and make every dining experience special.
Carlos is one of the best restaurateurs you will ever meet! Food and service is outstanding!
Can’t wait to go back!!
I love Carlos and his restaurant. It is always a pleasure to dine there
Small gem with wonderful food and service. The owner is very warm and gracious. Takes personal care of all of his guests
This is one of those hidden jewels of Palm Beach. So worth a drive over the bridge! Every dish is fabulous and yet still innovative. Perfect for everyday dining or that special occasion. One of my favorite spots!!!
Nice and romantic, the food needs to be a little tastier and more portion. Overall nice restaurants.
warm and inviting from the front door to the bar. service was impeccable, genuine conversations and genuinely interested in getting to know us!
food was fabulous and key lime pie was as good as any found in Key
I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a lovely and lively dining experience
Food, service and quality all acceptable. Would certainly eat at this restaurant again.
Fantastic meal, amazing service, great wine and beautiful ambience. We had a wonderful dinner with friends and can't wait to come back.
Disappointing because everything was ordinary. We expected something special — had read about it, reviewers all wrote about how wonderful it was — but it was just ordinary. Not bad, mind you — but nothing to rave about or write home about. Just ordinary.
If it was closer to our home, we certainly would go back (although we missed a female presence!).
This is a lovely small venue that is quite charming. The way some are greeted upon entering you can tell they dine there frequently which is usually a positive sign in the industry. We went for Flavor Palm Beach and the Flavor menu was given to us along with the regular menu as we were seated which I appreciated that we didn't have to request the menu.
Within minutes of being seated we were brought a plate of fried zucchini chips. A great little treat as we studied the menu trying to decide on what we were ordering.
The food was very good, my simply grilled Branzino was cooked perfectly. Veal saltinboca was also delicious although sized perfectly for a smaller appetite.
Service could have been turned up a notch, It went downhill once the order was placed. My husband wasn't offered more wine until his meal was almost gone and my ice tea glass sat empty.
Cute little venue, very good food, service can use some fine tuning.
Food and service was very good. Would have preferred a full bar but only beer and wine is available. Air conditioning unit is to the back of the restaurant and didn’t appear adequate to cool down the front where we were sitting.
Great food and water was always refilled!
Nice and cozy dinner. Delicious French onion soup, fish and veal!
Food is always good but service was extremely slow. One of the meals was incorrect and had to be remade.
I have been to this restaurant several times. It has steadily declined over the years. We went to Maison Carlos for a celebratory dinner. The waiter did not acknowledge that we were there for that reason, even though I wrote that on the OpenTable reservation and he didn't know that I was allergic to mushrooms, which I stated on my profile. Every other restaurant I have been in the waiter/waitress always ask who is allergic to mushrooms and the manager walked by and welcomed other guests and didn't bother to come to us until later.
The food was not good. The pork belly was dry and tough and it was not like any pork belly I have ever had before (taste-wise). The rissoto was very salty and took 3/4 of the meal home so I can somehow take the saltiness out of the dish. The dessert and the fried zucchini chips were the highlight of the meal. Not worth the amount we spend. The place was stuffy (It caters to the older Palm Beach and El Cid crowd) at first before some "regular" people came in.
There are better places to go within two miles of this restaurant where you will be valued as a customer ad get a great meal! Pass on this establishment.
Our delicious meals were off the prix fixe menu and included clams in broth with chorizo, spot on chicken Marsala, and delicious creme brûlée - which I never tire of as long as it’s like this: perfectly prepared. Thin crisp sheen of sugar over a luscious custard. A deal at about $35. Waiter recommended an excellent yet not terribly expensive wine to accompany. (They serve only beer and wine). Gracious and friendly service - attentive but almost invisible. The space is done very nicely. Once you are in its easy to forget you are in a little shopping center on a fairly busy street. Serene seascapes by owner’s father-in-law add to the experience. No paper over the tablecloths here. We had a great evening and highly recommend.
Loved their food choices, especially their summer set prix which was very delicious and had a wonderful set of choices to eat. Their wine menu really went well with the food that was provided. The owner Carlos was very attentive and interactive with his customers. Although, some of his waiters were okay in terms of service they weren't very social. Maybe they need to hire a younger group for employees. Despite all of that, like I said Carlos made the experience excellent and I would definitely come back just to receive his service and his food. Would definitely recommended to anyone who will be going to West Palm for a visit.
Always an incredible dining experience when dining in at Madison Carlos. The food and service are TOP NOTCH.
Still the best quiet little romantic restaurant in the neighborhood. The staff is friendly and entertaining, and they know their menu. They also know when to engage you and when to leave you to talk to your table of guests. The perfect balance of food, wine and atmosphere.
Always wonderful gracious dining😀
