Nice and romantic, the food needs to be a little tastier and more portion. Overall nice restaurants.
warm and inviting from the front door to the bar. service was impeccable, genuine conversations and genuinely interested in getting to know us!
food was fabulous and key lime pie was as good as any found in Key
I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a lovely and lively dining experience
Food, service and quality all acceptable. Would certainly eat at this restaurant again.
Fantastic meal, amazing service, great wine and beautiful ambience. We had a wonderful dinner with friends and can't wait to come back.
Disappointing because everything was ordinary. We expected something special — had read about it, reviewers all wrote about how wonderful it was — but it was just ordinary. Not bad, mind you — but nothing to rave about or write home about. Just ordinary.
If it was closer to our home, we certainly would go back (although we missed a female presence!).
This is a lovely small venue that is quite charming. The way some are greeted upon entering you can tell they dine there frequently which is usually a positive sign in the industry. We went for Flavor Palm Beach and the Flavor menu was given to us along with the regular menu as we were seated which I appreciated that we didn't have to request the menu.
Within minutes of being seated we were brought a plate of fried zucchini chips. A great little treat as we studied the menu trying to decide on what we were ordering.
The food was very good, my simply grilled Branzino was cooked perfectly. Veal saltinboca was also delicious although sized perfectly for a smaller appetite.
Service could have been turned up a notch, It went downhill once the order was placed. My husband wasn't offered more wine until his meal was almost gone and my ice tea glass sat empty.
Cute little venue, very good food, service can use some fine tuning.
Food and service was very good. Would have preferred a full bar but only beer and wine is available. Air conditioning unit is to the back of the restaurant and didn’t appear adequate to cool down the front where we were sitting.
Great food and water was always refilled!
Nice and cozy dinner. Delicious French onion soup, fish and veal!
Food is always good but service was extremely slow. One of the meals was incorrect and had to be remade.
I have been to this restaurant several times. It has steadily declined over the years. We went to Maison Carlos for a celebratory dinner. The waiter did not acknowledge that we were there for that reason, even though I wrote that on the OpenTable reservation and he didn't know that I was allergic to mushrooms, which I stated on my profile. Every other restaurant I have been in the waiter/waitress always ask who is allergic to mushrooms and the manager walked by and welcomed other guests and didn't bother to come to us until later.
The food was not good. The pork belly was dry and tough and it was not like any pork belly I have ever had before (taste-wise). The rissoto was very salty and took 3/4 of the meal home so I can somehow take the saltiness out of the dish. The dessert and the fried zucchini chips were the highlight of the meal. Not worth the amount we spend. The place was stuffy (It caters to the older Palm Beach and El Cid crowd) at first before some "regular" people came in.
There are better places to go within two miles of this restaurant where you will be valued as a customer ad get a great meal! Pass on this establishment.
Our delicious meals were off the prix fixe menu and included clams in broth with chorizo, spot on chicken Marsala, and delicious creme brûlée - which I never tire of as long as it’s like this: perfectly prepared. Thin crisp sheen of sugar over a luscious custard. A deal at about $35. Waiter recommended an excellent yet not terribly expensive wine to accompany. (They serve only beer and wine). Gracious and friendly service - attentive but almost invisible. The space is done very nicely. Once you are in its easy to forget you are in a little shopping center on a fairly busy street. Serene seascapes by owner’s father-in-law add to the experience. No paper over the tablecloths here. We had a great evening and highly recommend.
Loved their food choices, especially their summer set prix which was very delicious and had a wonderful set of choices to eat. Their wine menu really went well with the food that was provided. The owner Carlos was very attentive and interactive with his customers. Although, some of his waiters were okay in terms of service they weren't very social. Maybe they need to hire a younger group for employees. Despite all of that, like I said Carlos made the experience excellent and I would definitely come back just to receive his service and his food. Would definitely recommended to anyone who will be going to West Palm for a visit.
Always an incredible dining experience when dining in at Madison Carlos. The food and service are TOP NOTCH.
Still the best quiet little romantic restaurant in the neighborhood. The staff is friendly and entertaining, and they know their menu. They also know when to engage you and when to leave you to talk to your table of guests. The perfect balance of food, wine and atmosphere.
Always wonderful gracious dining😀
Delightful quiet evening with great food- I had Warm goat cheese salad with roasted tomatoes followed by a seafood risotto crowned with delicious shrimp. I love the key lime pie- a special family recipe. The service was impeccable!
Also loved the zucchini chips brought to the table before the meal began- fresh and crispy. Altogether a lovely evening. Thank you!
We enjoyed a lovely family dinner on Friday night, everything was perfect and the service is always outstanding, we love having this restaurant in the neighborhood.
Wonderful food, excellent service, great ambiance all make Maison Carlos a first-rate dining experience! Looking forward to returning soon!
Always excellent! The food is superb and the staff goes out the extra mile. Thanks and see you soon.
We wanted to take our “snow bird” friends, who are returning to the north, out for a special dinner. It was special in every way.
The service was impeccable and the food extraordinary. My arugula salad and bucket of snails was perfect with bread for dipping. My husband indulged in shrimp and risotto, he said, “ this will be our new” go to.” Our friends loved their salmon too!
I must mention the mousse and flowers chocolate with vanilla ice cream , was a perfect send off.
Put this restsurant on your summer list as they just started their specials!
Quality of food is always excellent and the service can’t be beat! We always take our out of town guests here!
My party of five had a very good time- well served, well fed, pleasant ambience. A favorite of mine.
Lovely place, attentive service, tasty menu
We love the food and the owner and wait staff are terrific...the zucchini chips are awesome.
Outstanding cuisine. Friendly staff and chef/owner
Great all around
The patron Carlos was amazing, very friendly and had good wine recomendations. Food was excellent.
We have gone there many times. This night onion soup over salty, pasta special tasteless and fish special so so. Maybe different chef? They did deduct soup from bill when we notified them of problem. Hope this was a one time aberration. We always enjoyed this place
Pizza hard like cardboard and cold; 90% crust that cracked in half, like a cracker.
Burger not as ordered.
Deviled eggs way too salty.
Waiter snotty and constantly interrupted our conversation.
Waiters were constantly pushing wine and bottled water, to all the tables. They must have asked us 15 times, if we want more wine. We eventually had to tell them to leave the bottled water alone. It was obvious they are told to push the beverages, to rake in more profit.
Very pleasant staff & room
Love Carlos and crew awesome food charm ambiance thank you Carlos and Galendo!!!
Maison Carlos is a quaint, but vibrant scene. It was full of laughter and conversation. It is a small restaurant, but there were several tables of 4-6. It seemed to be lots of groups of friends and a few couples. I'm not sure a group bigger than 6 could fit in there. The wine selections were great and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the entire experience.
The Vichyssoise and the Onion Soups are to die for; the service not so much. If you want great Vichyssoise or Onion soup then this is the place to go. After that the food is OK.
The service, on the other hand, could be a lot better. When I made the reservation I mentioned that my party and I were going to the Kravis Center for a show. I repeated this to the waiter when we were seated. It took 20 to 25 minutes to get our appetizers and another 20 minute wait for the entree after finishing the first course. In the end, we had no time for dessert. It was very disappointing. I would go again but not before a show.
Always wonderful! Food and staff exceed all expectations!
First time here. Nice food, some dishes a bit better than others, but overall quite good. It was Valentines Day and very busy. Service could have been a bit more attentive, and time to get food was a bit long, but it was a busy holiday time.
We will try it again on a non holiday time. All in all a nice experience.
The food was great and the service was excellent, very friendly. It's a small intimate restaurant, quiet enough for you to have a conversation. Prices were reasonable but not inexpensive. We would definitely go back
