The food was good. We had reservations on New Years day so they had a condensed menu. The lamb chops were fantastic!
Food great, service above average, kitchen a little slow.
We had the Filet with the portabella topper-EXCELLENT!
We also had the house salad and French onion soup which were also great.
Excellent food and service. We had a 7:00 PM reservation and our table was available and ready when we arrived. We were promptly seated and our drink order was taken.
Best steak and garlic potatoes of all of my visits!
Group next to us were loud so it was hard to talk....but I would go again
Service was very poor tonight. We love the menu items right now. We ordered spinach and artichoke dip. The bread was burnt. We asked for new bread and the waiter said the kitchen was making us some fresh bread. He never brought the bread but finally brought our main course. Ribs were very good, but the naan flat bread was again burnt. We ordered the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. It had Great flavor but they didn’t put the hazelnut sauce on it so it was dry. We never got refills of our drinks and the waiter never came and checked on us.
Very disappointed in our last visit. Had to wait 20 minutes to get water and over 30 minutes to get our wine our server visited another table 4x never coming to ours. Finally a bartender came and brought us water and our wine. Food was great once we did get it.
Surprisingly poor dining experience this time. The food was excellent, especially the filet topped with Gruyère cheese and crab. Service was poor in that the the bartender put wine back in the same glass we just sent back that had a large crack in the base. The server caught it but still… Service was slow and we had tickets to the concert. Our server said there were two large parties ahead of us so orders were backed up. What would have been a nice leisurely dinner was then rushed and no time for dessert. Serving staff need to be trained in removing empty cocktail glasses and beer bottles rather than letting them accumulate. Our past visits were wonderful.
Food was very good. The service was excellent. Staff went the extra steps to make us feel very comfortable.
We had a wonderful meal. The steak was perfect, the onion soup was fabulous and the chicken sandwich was wonderful. The waitress was excellent! Keep up the good work. Oh, and the bread was great!
Food was great. Service was slow. A table of 4 was pretty loud!
We had reserved a booth and when we got to the restaurant they didn’t have one available and they pushed 2 uneven tables together. It also took 10 minutes before someone was even at our table. For $140 for two people the value was just not there.
Creative menu with well-prepared offerings, generous portions, and great service. First time dining at Main + Abbey exceeded expectations. Can definitely recommend the chicken marsala, the soft pretzel, tuna sliders, and the roasted beet salmon salad. All were unique and wonderful! If you're visiting Sioux City and looking for a reasonably-priced quality dining experience, check out the Main + Abbey.
Wonderful meal and outstanding attention from our server, Paige.
Just disappointed in the food and drinks. Was looking forward to a delicious meal and it was just OK.
Service by far worse ever and I have eaten here many times
Wonderful service. Fun atmosphere. Food was so so. Steaks great...everything else not as good especially for the price. Nice wine and drink list but you do wait a long time for drinks.
Food was awesome. Server was great. We will be back again!!
Food was great not worth the price but I would recommend this place again
Main and Abbey’s menu is limited and no longer caters to those with Gluten allergy (unless you want a steak or plain salad). It is disappointing as previous menus offered several options for those with food allergy. Our server was attentive, accommodating and kind.
Wow. What a pleasant surprise. The STL ribs are very good. Great service and great food!
We were fairly satisfied with this restaurant. We didn't have a lot of other choices at the time. The food was just Okay. Service was good. the décor was interesting.
I dont know how this place does server sections but our server had tables all over the restaurant or to many for being fine dining or upscale had wait awhile for things. And food was cold but management was no go or not around.
The food was absolutely amazing. Eventough the porkchop takes a little longer, it is 100% worht it! Best porkchop I have ever eaten!
Ordered chicken marsala. Received a dry roasted chicken breast on top of asparagus, marbled potatoes & crispy shallots. Mushrooms were on the corner of the plate. The scant amount of Marsala sauce was on the bottom. It tasted ok but it was not traditional chicken marsala. I was expecting a pounded, lightly breaded chicken breast that was covered with mushrooms & marsala sauce. If you're going to change a classic, please note it in the menu. Service was fine.
Great service by Paige, the food and dessert were outstanding..
Sat on the patio and listened to the band. Wonderful experience, great food and drinks. The black and blue salad was amazing as was the French onion soup.
Bones in the fish, one stuck in my gum. When I told the server, she said that all fish had bones, I'm over 70, and I herd rumors to that effect in my life, however, never encountered that at a restaurant. Guess I've just been lucky! I'll try something else on my next trip, the presentation on all the food coming from the kitchen looked excellent!!
Absolutely the best meal experience ever at the Main Abbey. We had the best waitress and the food was phenomenal! I don’t know what has changed but keep it up. Definitely will come back.
Our food was great-very short on staff. They did their best.
Too much food especially the ribs. The service was very good. Noise level was average.
The atmosphere overall was good. I would go back again. Outside seating was great and the service both times was excellent.
Waitress kept us waiting then had such a bi-polar, ugly attitude that had the food not tasted and cooked well, I would have complained. Just reflected her ugliness back in a lower tip than normal but left our “happy dinner” less than happy. For the higher prices, one expects to receive better than that! Actually our last 3 visits there have had female wait staff that cop such attitudes it is shame to the property. The food is what tempts me to keep trying.
All was good as usual. Only glitch was we were told that we could cork and take or wine into the concert. We couldn’t.
Dinner was fantastic!
Great service, food excellent!
Excellent food, service and atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Very tasty as always! Great service. Great food. Sat on the patio!
Best place to eat in Sioux City!
Very nice meal and service was equally as good. Enjoyed our dinner,
Loved the warehouse vibe. Food & wait staff phenomenal
We always have great food and service here! We sat outside and it was a beautiful night. Our server Wendy was great and took care of all of our requests. Even caught a glimpse of Kenny Wayne Shepherd who was dining here before performing at his concert at Anthem!
