Main + Abbey - Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City
sauted garlic shrimp served over angel hair pasta, heirloom tomatoes, fresh herbs, parmesan cheese, with a savory garlic butter sauce
baby iceberg, smoked bacon, egg, crumbled blue, red peppers, onion, tomatoes, pesto ranch
Food was absolutely delicious!!! Our friends were very impressed!
Great food. Lamb pops, filet and fettuccine carbonara
We really enjoy Main and Abbey. The food is always great as it was again. We had the Rib eye with the crab enhancement. Excellent! Our Waitress on the other hand not the best. She was very sweet just no knive for steak, wrong drink etc. Otherwise great time.
the food was awful we sent back soup due to it being unedible. We ordered different apps. which were okay. The entrees were not goo the stake was over salted and the pasta flavor.
Staff was super friendly. The place is cool, calming and relaxing. Was hoping the food would hold up to the same standards but it wasn’t close. The spinach and artichoke fondue was the best thing we had. I got the scallops, cooked and overcooked on the one side and a plateFULL of raw vegetables. The purée underneath looked like puke thrown on a plate. My date had the carbonara, the sauce was about the only thing in the bowl with a few peas and raw pancetta. I also tried the French onion soup. The baguette inside was stale. Like 3 weeks ago. . And the soup itself tasted like saltwater with a hint of onion. Being only half capacity and only half full at that time. Should’ve gotten better food for spending 200$ on dinner for two people. Understanding it’s a scratch kitchen but for 30$ per plate the food should be almost perfect. Not fast food. I would’ve rather waited 5 more minutes for great food than being hurried for crappy ramen noodles. First time going and probably the last. Rather eat at Kahills for half the price and know what im going to get. I’m not the best cook by any means but god forbid you try to put fourth effort on every plate when charging people that much for food...@ a casino.... the hard rock was not rockin. Even tho the staff was friendly the food was damn near garbage. Not at all trying to be rude. Just an honest customer looking for decent food in sewer city.
Would just love to see updates to menu as few and far between. Great place otherwise
We had a great meal and very nice waitress. The katafi shrimp was excellent.
Always have a great meal at the Main and Abby. We always ask if Sam is working and want to be seated in her section. She always delivers exceptional service!!
We loved our dining experience at the Main and Abbey. The ambience was wonderful and the service was terrific. The steak was the best I’ve had in a long time.
First time visit
Great atmosphere inside, but we ate outside and it was very nice. Appreciated that wait staff were all wearing masks. Food and service was OUTSTANDING! The Salted Caramel White Russian is like drinking dessert...and that's a good thing :)
We had ceasar salad with our dinner but my first bite tasted fishy. It had a an anchovy on it or some kind of fish. That I was not prepared for. Not something I’d recommend serving on a salad. Everything else was excellent.
Very limited menu that was not shown on their website. Had we known this we would have visited elsewhere.
The shrimp scampi is to die for. It’s not like normal shrimp scampi but it’s amazing. Get it and don’t look back.
This was our first dining experience since Covid 19 started. Main and Abbey staff did an excellent job making us feel comfortable and safe.
Thank you so much for a great experience back to dining out.
Our favorite restaurant! Always great service and delicious food!
Everything was excellent! We went for our sons birthday and enjoyed it. Wish we could have seen more memorabilia but with coivd parts of the hotel and casino were closed off.
we love Main+Abbey and our favorite server Sami! We will be back soon!
Everyone's food was excellent and we had a great birthday gathering. One glaring issue: the menu had no vegan options for one person in our party. Lots of people avoid avoid animal products these days for health and ethical reasons. Our server and the chef handled this as best they could in the moment and they were very kind, but the restaurant probably needs to address this. They have creative chefs who could easily make unique vegan options so everyone can choose at least one thing from each section of the menu.
Our food was really good. The waitress forgot to put in our appetizer but did bring it later and didn't charge us which was really nice. The prawns were worth the wait.
All 4 steaks at our table were charred. Not sure how you unevenly cook such a small filet.
Great food and our server Sami is the best. We ask to be seated in her area every time we go if she is working. She does an awesome job of checking on you and making sure your drinks are filled. Great dinner! My husband and I shared the tomahawk it was so much we still had food to take home.
Had salmon and scallops. Perfectly prepared and seasoned. Wedge salad was excellent. My wife's Creme Brulee was outstanding. Huge portion.
Love the manager and our waitress always so professional
Great experience! Will come back!
Valentines dinner...didn’t stay to eat as they only served a few items because of the holiday and didn’t serve anything that was on there normal menu which is what we go there for. Very disappointed...would have been nice to know ahead of time that they weren’t going to serve there normal menu.
I made a reservation for 645pm. I arrived on time and my husband and I ordered our entrees by 655pm. By 740pm we still did not have our food. We asked several times how much longer it would be. We kept being told it would be only 5-6 minutes more. We finally decided to just leave without eating. The menu was very limited for VDay. So we were hesitant to stay but the waitress said that was to make sure that food came out faster since they were so busy. Probably will not dine again.
If you are 10 min late for your reservation they will drop you off the list and give your table away.

Went on Valentines night expecting a great meal.. unfortunately that was not what we got.. While our server.. Sami Jo.. did all she could do the meal was so sub standard there was saving it.. we spent in excess of $200 and left disappointed we did not make a scene as not wanting to ruin other diners experience but never got a response from a phone and direct message.. we've dined here before with great pleasure and hope this is an isolated incident
Service slow, nNot accommodating to two extra people that we had in our group.
Waitress was just OK and limited menu wasn’t impressed
Waitress took too long to greet and ask for drinks. We reviewed entire menu and decided what to eat BEFORE she even acknowledged us and asked to take drink orders. Needless to say we skipped the appetizer because of this issue.
I ordered the ribeye. I like my steaks rare but usually get medium rare to not gross my wife out. This stake was charred perfectly on the outside and on the edges, but was cold...fridge cold in the middle. This means they put a partially thawed steak on the flame. Baked potato was perfect and what you would expect.
Wife got the juicy loosey. Great at first. Then once my wife got almost to the end the meat looked cooked but was raw. Once again a frozen patty was put on the grill.
The final bill was cheap. Didn’t make a fuss because we both had our fill but while the stay at the hard rock was good, and we will be back, I think we will skip eating here again.
Went with friends to Matt Steel they have never been there , they were very impressed with Main&Abbe food excellent along with concert , we all will be back .
Forget the hype about Main & Abbey’s “new” menu. There are a few different things but nothing that jumps out at the eye. The most extensive change is they have now taken away a choice of two sides when you order an entree, you now only get one side and may pay $6 for your second. Of course the price has stayed the same for less choices. Once again I ordered my steak medium as I alway do, it was well done no red and barely any pink in the center and was charred on the outside. I am fed up with this place and will not return until they hopefully realign themselves someday with new management. Below I have included what Main & Abbey calls an 8oz steak cooked medium.
We had a very nice meal. Things were pretty slow due to the concert that night but our food and wait staff were great so we didn't mind the wait.
Great food in a great atmosphere with great service!
We had a reservation on New Year’s Eve. When we showed up they said they were 15 minutes behind on reservations, which was totally fine. They said they would text us when our table was ready. We never got a text and when we went to ask about it they said there was nothing they could do as they were full. We were obviously upset as it was 9:00 at this point and hungry.
The food was so delicious! We all tried something new and enjoyed "sampling" each other's food!
My only negative was that I made reservations for 7:00 p.m. and we finally got seated at a table at 7:30 p.m. Server was very friendly. It was an enjoyable evening, celebrating the New Year!
We had a 6 pm reservation and did not receive our appetizer until 7 pm. After 45 min had passed, we finally asked for bread as we were so hungry. We finally received our bill at 8:30 pm. It should never take 2 1/2 hours to eat a meal. Absolutely ridiculous.
First time there. It was New Year’s Eve so reservation only. Was not told there would be a limited menu and the choices were sub par. Ordered the steak medium well. Cut it open and it was purple and cold. Sent back and had manager deliver our steaks. Charred on the outside and still purple on the inside. This happened on 3 of the steaks that were ordered. The chicken that was ordered had good flavor but was served cold. For the price that they charged and the quality of the food we will not be back!
Our server was awesome but the limited food menu (which for New Years Eve) which we weren’t informed of was subpar. The sea bass was excellent but the steaks were subpar. Very unfortunate as we have been there a lot and never had a bad meal. The limited menu could have been improved on with normal everyday favorites.
