Welcome to The Magpie.
We pride ourselves as a beautiful riverside gastropub with an amazing dining room overlooking the Thames, serving fresh seasonal food with an impressive range of real ales, craft beers, an extensive gin list and a great wine list.
We offer full table service in every part of our premises.

We are a dog-friendly pub as long as they are with well-behaved hoomans but do not allow dogs in our dining area if you would like to bring a four-legged friend please let us know and we can seat you in our bar area.
Luckily enough, we are lucky to have a car park just across the road if you are coming from afar.

We are now an Over21 pub only, please bear this in mind.

There are a few parking options. The first is just across the road, The Walled garden car park. First hour is free after that its £1.50 for the day. Free after 7pm. The second in just off the Avenue a 3 min walk away (same charging applies). We also have a 35 foot mooring, if you are lucky enough to own a boat you could simply moor up to the pub.

The 216 bus from Kingston to Staines pulls up right outside the Magpie.

Unfortunately, the day we visited they had experienced an issue with the gas in the kitchen and were only able to offer a limited menu. We were advised of the issue as soon as we arrived and the staff were incredibly apologetic. We chose to stay and had an enjoyable meal. The lower marks are reflective of the limited menu on our visit rather than a problem with the food or the venue. We would be more than happy to revisit when in the area. The service from the staff was impeccable throughout.

Lovely setting 3 of the meals were ok especially Sea Bass, I had Kyiv this was over cooked,dry & no garlic butter in it, all the desserts were really nice. Unfortunately for us we went out to have a quiet catch-up but there was a birthday party there & we were sat next to them, we did understand it was a nice evening & they were busy.

We had a really lovely Sunday lunch at The Magpie. The food was great & the staff were very attentive & friendly. Such a nice setting on the river too.

To many big dogs in garden area. Danger to the staff trying to serve customers stepping over dogs. Do not agree with dogs amongst tables that are close together or sitting on chairs that are meant for people

It was a last minute decision to go out but I was able to get a spot. The team was so friendly, buzzing atmosphere delicious food. Ended up staying longer than I planned. I will be back again

We had a great evening there. Was early but it was not a problem. Such a lovely and cosy atmosphere. Staff great 👍 Food great 👍 We would so come back next time we are in the area.
