We were seated quickly and service was great. My food came out a bit cold but flavor was spot on. Overall a good experience.
Love this place! Had the Hazelnut Mole on Salmon. AMAZING!!
Highly flavorful, creative dishes. We had a margarita that was out of this world! Our visits there have never been less than excellent.
It was super crowded. People lined up all the way outside.
The food was fantastic and I was very glad that I had a reservation because there were a lot of people waiting without one. Our server got our bill wrong and it took a very long time for her to sort out the 3 menu items that we did actually order.
Food and service were excellent, as usual. Restaurant was very busy but our waiter gave us just the right amount of attention.
The Mexican food here by chef Juan Luis is on par with Frontera Grill. The selection of mole sauces is fantastic. Great margaritas. Service was friendly and attentive.
Overall, a good experience at this Mago location. I felt like the waiter and other staff did not pay attention to me and my date. I actually saw the server see that our chip basket was empty and walk away...and grabbed and refilled another table's chip basket! Things like that are frustrating and make me think that if I'm going to spend $60 on dinner for two, I will spend my money elsewhere. I spent too much money on food and drinks to be treated like that. Mago has a fun atmosphere and food is good, but overpriced in comparison to competitors.
Great food, drinks and service.
This establishment for my first time ever stuck to the reservation time. Usually they make you wait. Even with an hour and a half wait time they sat us immediately. Great food, drinks. Very happy
Love this place. Wish it was bigger and closer to home. I live 20 miles away but make the drive at least 4 times a year.
Being this restaurant a Latin and Mexican cuisine, I was expecting the dishes to be more "Latin" and "Mexican". I was disappointed to find out that most of the dishes come with mashed potatoes and a sauce (chipotle, green, etc). What happened to rice and beans? Having an enchilada with mashed potatoes is like eating fettuccine with gnocchi.
In addition, the tables are so close to each other, there is barely room to move. Our table had to pass the plates around to the people seating at the opposite side of the table where the waitress would come; she could not go around the table. Every time someone walked behind our table, they would bump whoever was sitting there.
Great place! Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and awesome food!
Fantastic. Great food and great service
Waitress seemed to be annoyed that we stayed to talk after dinner.
Drinks were awful. Sent them back twice. Our waitress wasn’t very friendly. Food was good but way overpriced. Won’t be going back.
My husband and I have been celebrating our anniversary at Mago since our first date here, four years ago. We absolutely love everything about it - especially the food and atmosphere - and wish we could dine here more often!
A vegetarian section on the menu was the major draw for us. Food drinks and service were all great
My wife and I had a very good time and delicious dinner.
Had a great lunch. Chilequiles was excellent, and the guava tres leches desert was amazing. Our waiter was super too.
mago grill & cantina has outstanding mexican food. there is a big selection to choose from and the entree's are very generous proportions. we have never had a bad experiance there
I'd been wanting to try Mago for a LONG time and boy, it DID NOT disappoint! I'm super picky about my Mexican food (nothing like home cooked!) but this place is pretty darn amazing! The cocktails were perfect, food was just the right spicy level, and the authenticity was there! The table side guacamole is by far the best I've had in any Mexican restaurant! Can't wait to go back!
The food was very good as usual. The staff was quite friendly but our waiter was average.
While I’ve had many great dinners here over the years, this was my first brunch. I’m happy to report it was equally superb.
We love Mago Grill. We ordered the steak and shrimp fajitas to share. The El Jefe margaritas are excellent!
Everything was very good ... But if I can recommend one thing it would be the ventilation... It was very busy when I was there maybe that’s why I felt very warm... Perhaps a few ceiling fans would help ?
My daughters recommended this as a good half way point to meet for dinner, and it was a great choice. Reservation time was perfect, food was great and when our server heard it was my birthday, he brought dessert, a sombrero and they sang me happy birthday. We had a great time and a great dinner!
We like their salsa here..tacos are not that good..kind of pricey
Always great food, and fantastic atmosphere. Can talk without having to shout with stablemates.
Food is good . I made the reservation for my friends 's birthday party. Call that morning to ask about do I need to bring a cake for my friend. The person who pick up the phone said they will give one complimentary for a birthday person.
After dinner , I asked one of the waiter . He said he know nothing about it. And nothing for Birthday . I have to walk up twice to talk to somebody about that . End up they gave one cup of something. I was disappointed to choose to have a party at their restaurant. Because I feel like other place will be more appropriate for a business.
charging 18% serviced charged for a party and the service what we had. It's no go back for any party for us.
Great Restaurant. Waitress was very friendly, food was great!! Highly Recommend.
Great presentation of food and tastes fabulous! All four of us really enjoyed the experience.
An unexpected delight in a suburban shopping mall. We were meeting friends and had never heard of/been to Mago. The food was delightfully different. I had enchiladas Verdes with Chicken and they were way better than the standard run-of-the-mill restaurant enchiladas. My husband had pork with pistachio mole sauce which was amazing. All in all, it was great and we wish there was one closer to us!
Always a good experience. Food is excellent. Highly recommend the El Noble margarita.
Very cute restaurant! Food was great and so was the service. Would definitely recommend.
Food was good but a bit pricey. Live music was just too loud and near our table, making it impossible to converse. Service was quick and ambience fun.
Table side guacamole is the bomb! The 3 salsas they bring with the chips are also very good. Tacos are tasty and a good value - really liked the carne asada and shrimp ones. The different mole sauces are always very good and not something you’d find at every Mexican restaurant. The spicy margarita the bartender made for me was delicious (not on the menu) and appreciated!
Carlos is a great server, one of the best I've had and overall, every one just does the best job at this restaurant. The food is amazing, service great and I love the atmosphere! Great restaurant!
Delish!! Always a wonderful meal! The lamb chops w/ mole sauce was so good!
We love this place! You have to try the tortilla soup. Unfortunately, they only make it during the coldest months. (We’d eat it year round, if they would make it.) The carne asada is great. Love the guacamole they make fresh right at your table. We’ve never been disappointed with anything we’ve eaten. Margaritas are great too. It is a little pricey, but worth it. (Look for groupons)
