Delicious food and they accommodated all my husband ‘s food allergies without any problem. Perfectly cooked salmon. If you can’t get in for dinner go for lunch. It’s just as worthwhile!!
Absolutely delicious!! The fried chicken is always tasty. My favorite place to dine in Charleston!!
First visit to this restaurant. Their 2018 Restaurant Week menu looked interesting so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed! The food was excellent. Our server, Scott, was very knowledgeable with the dinner and wine menus. Very well paced dining experience. The regular menu offerings are just as interesting. We are already planning another visit next week .
One of the best in Charleston- when we visit Charleston, it is the first place we make reservations!
Everything was amazing. We had a wonderful time.
Wonderful dining experience. Best Sunday brunch we've ever had.
We enjoyed the Sunday buffet. The Low Country Eggs Benedict was wonderful.
This was a first visit to Magnolia’s and the menu showed variety and creativity for various palates. A member of our party ordered a cup of the tomato basil soup which was outstanding. They also ordered a caesar salad and a sandwich entree. When both of these two latter items arrived, the portion for each was huge, and had they known the portions were that large, they would have not ordered one of them. When this was mentioned to two different staff members, the response was something along the lines of “oh yeah, they are large.” It would have been nice if the waiter had mentioned this at the time of order and not presumed that the customer knew this information. I ordered the French toast stuffed with banana pudding and served with a peanut butter, maple syrup. The French toast was deep fried on both sides and this interferes with the flavor. Instead, it tasted like eating dried, fried dough. Perhaps, a better option would be to serve French toast as normally prepared and then top it with the banana pudding with maple syrup on top of that. The appetizer of macaroni and cheese was fried and served cube style garnished with maple bacon jam and jalapeño relish and this was outstanding!
Overall, this is a solid "must go to" restaurant in Charleston. It's definitely on the upscale side so I would suggest going during brunch if you don't want to spend as much for a "fancy dinner" but still have the option of trying some of Magnolia's signature dishes. I tried the shellfish over grits which was the perfect portion without feeling too full. The taste was phenomenal. I especially liked the lobster butter sauce. Do yourself a favor and try this place if you're ever in Charleston - you won't regret it!
One word. Wonderful. We were out with friends post theatre. My job to get a dinner reservation. Arrived at magnolias and I looked at my phone and realized I'd made the reservation for the wrong night. The restaurant was packed since it was restaurant week, but the hostesses couldn't have been nicer. They escorted us to the bar and said they'd accommodate us in a few minutes....great table, great food, great service.
