Love the brunch buffet especially the bread pudding.
Always good, and some nice local options
Magnolia's continues to be a wonderful place for really good fresh food. The sticky rice with mango and salmon was a great small plate, the steak was greatly enjoyed, the veggies are fresh and beautifully cooked...and yes, the desserts are awesome...And the service was great on a very busy night.
The food and customer service was great and I loved how the restaurant was made from an old mill. I got their special of night which was a scorpion fish that came with mix seafood jambalaya, my husband got the special of the night which was a pork loin with mashed potatoes. We also got a baked chocolate chip cookie dessert , everything was delicious. We will be going back.
Overpriced. Food was not that good. Service was good though!
Regulat for us and love the additions to the menu by the new chef.
It was an absolutely amazing meal. Service was great!
I do love this place. The drive to Purcellville is stunning, the sun room is cozy and bright, the servers are awesome and the food is always great. If I had to provide one negative, if I MUST... there are very few things I don't like, such as the taste of 'real smokey bacon' and pesto. Unfortunately the few dishes I wanted to try had these ingredients. But next time I go, the menu will be different so it's not going to keep me away.
Promp service on arrival. No intrusion on conversations. Great Sun. buffet and delicious entrees. No rush.
Dinner was nice, bar was lively. Due to business on a Saturday night, margarita was not mixed right, but they made another and it was pretty good.
Our table was ready for us. They had all menus that were requested ready to go (2 childrens and one gluten free). I think the biggest complaint that we had was that our server was very busy and sometimes it took a while for her to get to us. Our water was always full and the server was lovely.
Good meal overall, however steak was overcooked and had a char taste to it. Server seemed new and not confident. Maybe it was a bad night for him, as we saw him spill a plate of food as well as tip over a full glass of water.
Great service and great staff.
Magnolias is always consistent and good food. I had the tasty green salad with 3 large blackened diver scallops for $17. I know diver scallops are pricey but would have liked more green salad with it plus some bread. The tortilla chicken soup was excellent.
I would not return for the Easter Brunch The set up was chaotic Too loud too crowded Too expensive
What can I say about this restaurant. Great place. As always exceeded my expectations. The food was excellently prepared and presented and every mouthful was wonderfull.
Always a good meal and good service.
Great experience and great food. The restaurant was very accommodating for a special birthday request and the service was top-notch. Would highly recommend.
Very solid food in a cool atmosphere. The steaks and prime rib were on point. The wine was marked up A LOT. Good service. Overall really solid.
An excellent restaurant --- staff, atmosphere and food. Very relaxing place to have lunch with friends.
We had a wonderful lunch with an amazing waitress
Overall I did enjoy our dinner. However my Filet Mignon, which I had asked to be Medium Rare, was cooked Medium Well and dry. But the brussel sprouts were amazing as well as the burgundy mushrooms. My Husband’s catfish Oscar was very good, though a little low on Oscar. For dessert we ordered the Chocolate Chip Cookie and Butterscotch bread pudding. Cookie was very good and so was the bread pudding, my only suggestion is adding a little butterscotch syrup or topping to the bread pudding would make it perfect. I would not hesitate to come back here for dinner, I just won’t order the steak again.
Wonderful, just like we had been told!
We had eaten here last summer but were not impressed. I believe, among other things, two of our meals were cold. This time we went because they said they were participating in restaurant week. There was a "special" menu presented to us that was supposed to be for restaurant week but were full priced items seemed more like the specials. Usually, a restaurant will give you a three course meal for a set price with smaller portions so you can experience the food. My steak was ordered medium rare but came out rare and the potatoes underneath were cold. The waitress took it back and offered me soup while I waited and the manager also came over to apologize. I ordered a lobster and crab risotto as a starter. It was $18 and I could hardly see or taste any lobster just a few tiny minced up pieces. My husband had the salmon but found the sauce too heavy on the sweet side. There was bread but no butter served nor herbs and spices for the oil on the table. I think that their "participation" in restaurant week was questionable and feel they need to step up their game with the food. We will go to Tuscarora in Leesburg instead for a good meal. They have never failed to please.
The Bison burger is good. The Oreo cheesecake is excellent.
Posted on Northern Virginia Foodies online for good place to grab brunch in leesburg and this was one of the places! First time trying it and it was really good. It was perfect and not overwhelming.
Service was lacking. Our server had way too many tables to give much attention to anyone.
After a long day of driving we dined there after I'd read heard it was really good and had a nice ambience. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon so it was pretty empty but the service was attentive and the food was delicious. We will definitely be returning.
Our server was outstanding and she had a great sense of humor and the food was super!
We discovered Magnolia's on a weekend we ran away from home. It was recommended at the B&B we stayed in about 2 years ago in Louden county Virginia. The hostesses and wait staff are all happy and friendly.
They sat us 40 minutes past our reservation and the food was not good at all.
We had a birthday dinner for our friend. Great food and service but very loud and a few obnoxious patrons at a nearby table.
We always enjoy dining at Magnolia Mills. If I were to provide any constructive criticism it would be that I wish the entree menu contained just a few more items. We go often, and while there are always good specials, it seems like the menu is somewhat limited. This should not, however, detract from it being a great restaurant.
My burger came back extremely undercooked so we had to send it back. By the time it returned most everyone else was done. Food was pretty good, everything was a bit too spicy for me but the others enjoyed. Drinks were fabulous. Almost 4year old loves it. Super accommodating to the children there.
Food was great, service was good. Prompt service and kind. I enjoyed the shrimp and grits and the crab dip is a must have.
The best restaurant in Purcellville and environs. Has a great history.....my Rogers relatives owned and operated it as a mill, 75 years ago. Read the history page in the menu. Great food. Marvelous waiter! I returned to the horse farm area of my ROOTS, which began in 1730 there! We live in Md. my relations still live in the Hamilton, Lincoln area, on their horse farms. Love it!
Burger was over cooked. My salad came with fries which were luke warm.
Everything was very nice. The food was tasty, but we didn't see the value in the $28/buffet. (cheese tray, mini muffins, bread pudding, along with hot items, bacon, chicken, sausage, omelet station, etc) Basically, my date and I each had one drink (alcoholic beverages), the buffet and 2 coffees and with a 20% gratuity the bill was $110. Although everything was well prepared and tasty, it was not worth $100 omelets. We'll be back for sure, but probably not for the buffet. Our server was friendly and she gave us our time/space which we appreciated.
Came with my grandson and had a great brunch. The food selection was great and the preparation was outstanding.
We have frequently visited Magnolia's since it first opened. We have seen it rise and fall in both the quality of the food and service. That said, for the past two years we've seen a significant change across the board. A very attentive staff who appear to be really interested in your dining pleasure and experience. The food is, once again, outstanding. Well prepared and just delicious.
It is a pleasure to dine at Magnolia's once again!
