We just celebrated our anniversary here during Sunday brunch, after enjoying our wedding rehearsal dinner here over a decade ago. The food and service remain wonderful. Everything in the brunch buffet was delicious, and the whole family left fully satisfied. Would definitely recommend!

It was very nice for a lunch date with my daughter. It was hard to choose the entree. Everything sounded wonderful. It didn’t disappoint. My only minute criticism was that it was just a bit dark to read menu Overall it was lovely

The menu is creative and vast, and everything we had was high quality from cocktails to dessert. Located in a historic landmark building, it's an incredibly charming space that actually has a lot of different spaces to be used for both private dining and events. The only area for improvement we could see is that the menu and prices are a little at odds with the bar atmosphere spilling over into the dining areas. Classic rock music and TVs with the ballgame are great when you're seated at the bar, but Magnolia's ought to use the advantage of large, distinct spaces in the same building to create separate ambience for diners looking for a more upscale and intimate experience. That said, our server was warm, friendly and attentive, and we had a wonderful evening.

I’ve eaten at Magnolia’s for years and years. This is not a good example of their ability to provide good service and a good meal. I ordered a gluten-free chicken sandwich which did NOT come out on the gluten-free roll. I’ve ordered this many times before, and I know what the roll looks like. The waiter wanted to know if it was a serious allergy? Really? I’m gonna pay three extra dollars for a bun just because??? If I had never been to Magnolia before, I would’ve eaten that bun and I would’ve gotten very very sick ! Come On Y’all! This is NOT okay! I appreciate the options of gluten-free, but somebody needs to be checking the plates before they go out from the kitchen. Please, please do better. P.S. it’s time for a bathroom deep cleaning painting and refreshing! Same goes for the Leesburg location.

Not enough balanced, vegetarian options. I had the grain salad which was a huge scoop of hot quinoa with bits of greens and other add ins. Feels like the vegetarian options were a consolation prize. The animal eaters in my group were quite happy, though.

First off, the service was fine and no complaints with the server, she was sweet. The food was a whole another ballgame. What a complete waste of money and time. Shrimp and scallops were ordered and it was bland and consisted of 3 scallops slightly larger than a quarter and 3 shrimp the size of a quarter and risotto for $50. I’ve had “hot garbage” that tasted better, and yes I know what “hot garbage” taste like! The Duck was also ordered and it lacked flavor and was just Meh! Do yourself a favor and avoid this retirement home of a restaurant and go on down to Chik Fila for a more flavorful meal. The price versus what you get couldn’t be more lopsided. Never again. Purcellville is my favorite town in Loudoun County so I really was hoping they’d knock it out of the park to go along with this charming town, but that wasn’t the case. My review was strictly about the food as the service was fine and I know it’s the kitchen that needs to be held accountable. The quality of the food needs to be elevated if you’re going to charge those prices. Don’t mind spending the money, but at the end of the day it’s gotta be worth it.

What a pleasure to find a quality restaurant without a tv next to us or loud rock music playing during our delicious dinner. Excellent service from the minute we walked in. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for something a little bit special. This should set the standard of what going out to a restaurant should be.

    1. Service was outstanding - Training server was great. 2. Food- Meh 1. Veal coating was pasty along with Gnocchi -bland 2. Ribs - sauce was good otherwise no smokey meat flavor or pink coloration - shrimp was very good. 3. Mahi Mahi - dried out too firm - shrimp very good. 4. Beef Tenderloin Tip Pasta- beef had too much gristle had to waste half. 3. Grapefruit basil martini was good , but was so small - like for a Barbie Doll. Malbec wine was OK - Costco Kirkland Malbec $6.99 / bottle is better - also a micro pour In the past we had done take out - family meals which were excellent , and big portions. Very disappointed. Get a new chef with good quality control.

Although it must be more effort for the chef and crew, do like that you can either have their excellent brunch or order from the menu. Everything was delicious! The Ancient Grains salad is so good and rest of the party enjoyed the brunch buffet. There were lots of YUMMY comments about the biscuits with gravy. The Mill is such a great old building - amazing to look up and see the mechanism that remain in place.
