FRIED GREEN TOMATOES
Brewers Malt Crust,Goat Cheese, Tomato Jam, Pork Belly, Toasted Pistachio Butter, Sriracha Aioli
The mussels were tasteless. The fried chicken was over cooked and dry-skin was almost brown and black and the two pieces given to me was a leg and a thigh. Both small. The mac and cheese was tasteless and over cooked as well.
The patio was lovely until
They seated a party of 6-7 adolescents and 2 fathers who did nothing to stop the teenagers from shouting and screaming. Luckily our lunch was almost completed.
I will not return.
We had a delightful brunch at Magnolia at the mill yesterday. Our server was pleasant and attentive and the food was delicious. I was so happy with my Benedict du Jour I had to send my compliments to the Chef! We will definitely visit again when we are in the area!
Great as usual
Magnolias has a very nice atmosphere and we dined outside. I would recommend using some bug spray if going outdoor. More bugs than other outdoor dining experiences around. No the less the food and service was great!
I usually enjoy meals at Magnolia's. This trip was not great. It seemed like they were very busy and short staffed. Our waiter was very nice and capable, but he had way too many tables to take care of. This could be a one off as we had lunch here about a week ago with the same waiter and the service and food was terrific.
My dinner, a scallop and shrimp saute was just okay. Three small scallops and three small shrimp with no sear on them. There were several components to this dish and none of them were discernable. There was a pile of not special risotto in the center of the dish surrounded by the scallops which were underdone and the shrimp. All very edible, but for a hefty price tag of $48 not up to muster.
Help is hard to find due to our government's foolish policies, so I have sympathy on that front, but the food is another thing. I am a chef by trade and know how food should be prepared. You can't charge top dollar and deliver mediocre meals.
I will definitely go back to Magnolia's because of our past good experiences, but this trip was disappointing.
Magnolias never fails us! Such a great date destination!
Great night was had by all.... will definitely dine there again
Great food and very attentive server! Covered patio with fans made dining outdoors a pleasant experience.
Everything from the drinks, appetizers, main course, dessert, ambience and service was outstanding! We will definitely be back for our next special occasion!
We had a great dinner at Magnolias! The food, atmosphere, and service was excellent.
Perfect for an anniversary dinner. Food was excellent, the server we had was great. Very enjoyable experience.
The manager and team were great! They were very accommodating when our party of 15 jumped to a party of 24, and they were able to work very quickly with little time! Everything was fresh, everyone was kind, and the service was excellent! We can’t thank them enough for making our experience spectacular!
We enjoy eating outside on the terrace when it is nice outside.
Fantastic meal and place! Love that it’s an old mill. Food was delicious, especially the seared scallops and fried green tomatoes. Excellent all around.
It was a lovely evening to be on the patio. But the rock “music “ was way too loud and spoiled our experience. I did ask the manager to lower the volume and we were able to finish our dinner in relative peace.
Nice place and good service. The food was ok, didn't quite meet my expectations considering the high prices. I much prefer their sister restaurant Tuscarora Mill in Leesburg, same ambience, prices, service but the food is better and a wider selection.
The food was amazing and the atmosphere just right for conversation.
Very good food, great service. We go there regularly (we're local). Great but a little pricey for the area
Whenever we are in the area we make a point of stopping at this wonderful restaurant. The food and service never disappoint. Highly recommend!
Excellent ambiance, food, and service. Dining on the covered patio is terrific, weather permitting.
Wonderful food and drinks.
The steak salad was divine. Drinks and desserts were delicious as well. The other members of my party enjoyed the duck, the smoked chicken pasta, and the Wagyu Smash Burger. They were all excellent! Desserts and drinks exceeded expectations, too. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very professional. Overall, a wonderful choice for an evening of relaxing conversation over delicious food in a warm and inviting setting.
First time here, excellent food and excellent service - seating could have been better, sat next tot he kitchen door and under an a/c vent so had air blowing down on us the whole time - but the food and service definitely made it worth it. Will absolutely go back to try more dishes.
We had lunch there for my wife's birthday. Service was excellent, atmosphere great and had that historic touch which makes us want to return.
Our first visit to this place as we are new to the area. Celebrated her birthday night. Great food with a surprisingly large selection of offerings (for being located in a small town, not a much larger city).
Very good food. Good service. Lights are too low to read the menu. Not up to a 5 star, but good
As always, very enjoyable dining experience and delicious food!
Birthday celebration. Excellent atmosphere and service. Best sweet potato fries ever!
The food was okay but unfortunately it took 15 minutes after being seated for a waitress to come over. Looked like there was some confusion which is understandable but no recognition of our wait. The busboys struggled to bring steak knives with dinner or spoons with dessert. My steak was over cooked (medium well vs medium rare). It was neat that on the menus they wished us a happy anniversary but the server didn’t seem aware of it and didn’t mention it. I’m sure this all sounds “nit pickey” but for fine dining it missed the mark. I’d probably come again for drinks and a burger but not for a special night out.
This is the third time I have dined at Magnolias at the Mill. The menu is diverse. The food is consistently good and very reasonably priced. Service is excellent!
This is the second consecutive trip where the time it took to get our food took much too long. The surprising thing was when we did get our food it was Luke-warm at best. Our server was very pleasant, the food was good when it finally arrived, but it just took way too long.
2 couples enjoyed a lovely evening & our waitress was wonderful!!!
Great ambiance; food spectacular; service a little less so
Magnolias is always on point they have great food, a great bourbon list and a great atmosphere!
Professional, prompt service
